My nation has banned all reference to Christmas outside the 'FINAL' week proceeding it - who agrees that october is not the right time to start advertising it on TV etc?

Hmn... I think the right time to start advertising is around December 12th. That's about half-way between the beginning of the month and Christmas itself. I think that October is soo insanely early. I'm a fan of mid-December Christmas ads and such; makes it more enjoyable because its the right season.
