It had been some time since the Royal Regent had declared himself Divine Emperor, formed the Imperial Cult in worship to himself, declared himself a god, and formed the secret police that was the Imperial Security Agency. He now dominated the Divine Emperor of Aerion. Here is one of the results of his rule.

The television screen shows a massive domed marble temple, with large skyscrapers in the background, and skylights in the night. At the top of the temple steps, in front of two massive golden doors, an altar was arranged. Thousands of people stood in the plaza at the bottom of the temple steps in front of it, watching the proceedings. The view zooms in ,and the sound is of the crowds chanting. They are all wearing black uniforms, with the patch of the New Aerion Order. The priests and priestesses of the Imperial Cult wear black or red robes, and stand in formation down the steps. Soldiers in burgundy uniforms hold a large group of people with their shirts stripped off at the bottom. At the top, an elderly man in purple robes stands in front of what appears to be a human baby laying on the altar. The caption identifies himself as the "High Priest of the Imperial Cult". He holds a knife, which he raises above. He yells out to the crowds, amplified by hidden microphones, "I sacrifice this child in the name of His Holiness, The Divine Emperor of Aerion! God of the Aerion people!". He stabs it into the child, and throws the body onto the steps as blood spills down. One of the adult males is brought from the bottom of the steps. He is forced to his knees by the soldiers, and the High Priest pulls out a large axe. With a huge heave, he slices off the head of the man, which rolls down the steps along with the blood. As he does so, all in the audience in the New Aerion Order uniform chant, and the Imperial Cultists yell "Glory to the Divine Emperor." Then another one is brought up, a teen female. She is brought to her knees, and her head chopped off. Then another, and so on, and so on. Blood covers the steps of the gigantic temple as the sacrifices continue, spilling down. The chanting continues.

Secret IC: A larger carrier ship is sent to Aerion from Perfect China, a message was sent beforehand that the new Empress Mao Seia Tu-me I wished to give the Divine Emperor a gift. When the ship docked in port and the Perfect China soldiers lowered the plank what was brought out was a shock, very disheveled men and women, the last of the Lords who had fled Aerion so long ago, the last to be taken out was a man who was forced to wear a cardboard crown, so called "King" of Aerion in Exile who was betrayed by the new power in Perfect China.

A letter was also sent to the Divine Emperor:

To the Divine Emperor,

Not so long ago, during the rule of the Oligarchy and when my powers were nothing but ceremony I was forced to condemn you for your actions. Now that the Oligarchy has fallen to it's own corruption I have taken total power and can speak freely to my equals (to a certain degree) and I wish to retract the public statements I made and say that I am following your formula and changing it where it is needed to rule Perfect China as Empress. As a token of my sincerity I give to you the last remnants of the Old Kingdom of Aerion including it's so called, "King". I hope that this can be the first step to a very sucessful relationship between our nations.

Soldiers wearing black uniforms, and each a black beret stood at ready at the port to await. They were cold faced. Officers of the elite Imperial Guard. They begin carrying the men, and women off roughly into large armored prison transporters. The King in exile was pushed into an armored car by himself, which sped off. The sounds of screaming could be heard as some of the soldiers beat the old nobles down who tried to resist, or were shot on the spot.

Divine Empress,

This gift most pleases me. As an example of how to treat those of the old government, I would advise torture. Rest assured, this old fool King, and his false minions will be tortured to the most extent possible then brutally executed in public executions. Public execution is the best way to make a statement that those who resist your rule will be crushed.

A total of a thousand have been sacrificed to the Divine Emperor, most being criminals. Most of the New Aerion Order see these bloody sacrifices as fine, as part of the worship of the Divine Emperor. Though many of the general population are disturbed.

I must condem this so called divine Emperor and his cohorts worse than savages and way beyond barbaric, if we had any relations diplomatic or ecomonic not we would cut them off. At once.

Hmm... Historan, check the records, see if the Old royal family of Aerion is related or not to my familes house some way. it wouldn't do to let a relative be murdered after all, even if it is just a disant cousin.

Message to Oshan I, the Divine Emperor of Aerion:

I would recomend that you use crucifixion as the method of killing the false King (if he isn't dead already). It would be wisest to show the people that this is punishment of a Divine Level rather than clearing out a polititcal threat. I have found that using crucifixion as the form of execution to be highly effective in curbing crime.
