Xanthal shows religion! The Church of Xanthal is funded.
Planned for almost a decade, the long-anticipated Church of Xanthal recieved go-ahead funding today. The Church of Xanthal is planned to have one branch for every 10,000 religious citizens in an area. Each branch will have sanctuaries for the region's three most prominant faiths and one sanctuary for other religions to meet in at scheduled times, along with any ministers or priests that offer their services to the institution. There will also be common areas where people of different faiths will be encouraged to mix and relax (snacks and beverages provided). The first of these churches is currently scheduled to open in central eastern New Krytan at the beggining of next year. Eventually, almost 20,000 of these churches will open throughout Xanthal, and more will arrive as the population grows. Once the initial construction phase is complete, the Church of Xanthal will be funded through the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Nice facilities...
but what about the belief and value systems info? That's important too...
You are one severely backwards state, I recall a thread not two months ago where you disbanded all churches.
Crimmond: Supplying the churches with items appropriate to prevalent regional faiths will be the task of the people who attend. Basics will be provided by the government.
Ruhr: You recall incorrectly. The thread was about the closing of the last church in Xanthal, we didn't force anything. I made that clear in that thread.
You will someday be most glad you made this choice I believe, religion can save a people when all else fails them.

and now they reinstate a new church *shrugs* disband a church controlled by outside, wait a while and then create a new one... it makes sense... loyalty, cash, good will etc...
Kecha: Thanks for the encouragement.
Twy-Sunrats: Were you even listening? I said we didn't close any churches!

our nalanuthu build such temples
though they are seperate and indipendent from the 'government' and it's not possible to be a priestess and a low person (elected civil council member) at the same time.
many people just go there to relax in a safe and peaceful sanctuary atmosphere.
there are libraries and meditation rooms open to folowers of every belief and nonbelief
and of course a large centeral circular amphatheatre shaped meeting hall.
like all public places they surrounded by beautiful gardens of indigenous native and wild plants.
and in these gardens there are little grottoes where gifts of their favorite foods are set out for the small natural wild creatures that inhabit the area.
there are also totaly natural sacred groves in the center of which, the only constructed thing in them, are magical pavilions where outdoor rituals are held
we do look after these latter in the sense of keeping people from causing them harm or leaving litter
the nalanuthu though pretty much looks after itself with the voluntary and enthusiastic support of its fallowers.
another of our largest beliefs has no priesthood but only elected councils that the sturcture of our government is largely modled after

The government of Xanthal cannot afford to be religious. We have been an areligious institution for millenia. Perhaps these churches should be privately operated...
