GDODAD is actually dead, Get Over it.
Our nation is seemingly new but don't be fooled because we have actually risen from the ashes of a far greater older nation. The truth is GDODAD was a powerful force that in many ways did command respect.
Despite this many nations in an attempt to avoid recognising that they could not beat it basically decided to simply ridicule it. Now GDODAD does exactly what it says on the tin and more. They are dictators and they are power hungry. So when they got annoyed the attacked people. I know it shocked us too. :) . The point is when they starting attacking other nations those other nations just then ignored them and to that point any effect GDODAD was meant to have died.
That is the way it will remain.
Seconded...the organisation ceases to live.

Spooky... "GDODAD is actually dead, get over it" and "GDODAD recruiting" both on the same page.

Its true though. GDODAD will never fight another major war, nobody will pay attention to them.

I don't think most people ignored it because they couldn't beat it... it was more because GDOODAMDUMDIDDLYDEEDERWILLICKERS members couldn't roleplay themselves out of a wet box of Kleenex. They generally tended to be the nukewankers, the numberwankers, and the OMG I DEFEETZ J00 WITH MY MILLION BY BAJILLION PICTURES OF OMG-SUPERIORZ0R S0VI3T L337NE55!!!!!1121!@!!z0rplexded.
Klamath, anyone?
Sure, some, like TST and Nod, are cool. They actually have a concept of plot. Others, like the aforementioned Sovietwanker and many others, are good only for military pornography and the inescapable "I HAVE S-400s!!! For the low low price of arbitrary number!" "*moneys wired!*" "*products sentz0rded!*" storefronts.

OOC: Apparently it isn't. There's a recruitment thread on this same page. Perhaps they're like the Nazis and White Supremacists, trying to hang onto days of former glory, or a gang of n00bs who want an organization with a name that will piss people off, I'm having trouble deciding.

Also, can't forget those elder nations trying to retain a scrap of their former *cough* glory.

Klamath, anyone?Ah, don't forget his uber-brain fart and subsequent spamming spree.
Anyway, I don't really care if you people ignore the GDODAD. I'm not a member any longer, but I was a proud little smartass warmonger in the first incarnation of the alliance. I have assurances that, as long as I don't go democracy, they'll put me on the 'don't attack' list. That and I'd be able to hold my own for a while, smash a few of their nations, then call a few of their biggest enemies to help me out and turn it into another world war in the making.
Provided it didn't degenerate into a OOC bitchfest...
*stops rambling and wanders out of thread*
Aside from the godmoders, from what I've seen, some members also has poor tactics in wars. I guess their invasion force of 1 million super-soldiers, 10,000 uber-3000 tanks, with no supply chains can be defeated easily after all.

I figured pre-wacky-'baccy-overdose Klamath was squirrely enough for the argument.
Still, if GDOODLEDIDDLYDADUMDIBBLEWIBBLEZOOM-POING! wants a fight, I'm sure all the "good" nations (which have joined me in spacewankery for good or for ill) wouldn't have a problem with paving their respective countrysides into parking lots from orbit.

You know, and I'm neither agreeing nor disagreeing with your points, but making fun of an organisations name is pretty childish. GDODAD as an acronym is no worse than TOY or CACE or SATO or NATO or whatever. In fact, the only people who really had a problem with the name were the ones who couldn't remember the combination of letters due to low cognitive capacity (you would find them as newbs making posts called, "watz a GODOODD?")

We're always glad to find another with interests in logistics and such. :D
(I found the US Army Rangers guide to small unit tactics online, it's linked on the last page of the Logistics thread).
------------
1) GDODAD was a pain in the ass (but in a good way, see #4)
2) Even as a small nation, there was little reason to fear them...they were there to form fascist/dictatorial plots to overthow the world. As long as you didn't bug them, you were fine.
3) RPing with GDODAD wasn't impossible...most of the godmodery seemed to appear in blocks in the RP...when the blocks are carefully negated, the RP is good.*
*- Ref. Arani War. 10 pages of >>40 thrown out, 3 blocks of rampant godmodery emerged from decent RPing and were, once excised, no longer a roadblock to good RPing.
4) GDODAD is dead...too bad, they made everything interesting with their little boys club.

No. It would be in posts called "Whoze a GOD-DUDE?"

I was actually making fun of the old "how da hell do ya spell GDODAD" bits but, yah, point taken. The fact that GDODAD is already a general object of ridicule only made it that more tempting.
Then again, people make fun of ToY (I prefer Trium, but hey) all the time and I couldn't care less... sometimes blatant childishness can be fun.

Somewhere deep within the bowels of the Goobergunchian Foreign Ministry, the Office of GDODAD Affairs sits. Its cobwebbed interior bears notice that none have entered in months. An I.G.N.O.R.E. cannon design is visible on the desk.
Foreign Minster Clayton has been inspecting the various offices of the Ministry. His report to the First Minister reads as follows with respect to that office:
Office of GDODAD Affairs
No activity to report. I would recommend closing the office, but I doubt that it is worth the effort to clean it.
[OOC: GDODAD... what an irritating bunch. They've been threatening me for some time, but they never seem to do anything. How dull...]
GDODAD used to be a great alliance. They just godmoded too much.I think that its not right though if people ignore them now they deserve a chance. They will never be as powerful as they used to be.I was not here when they were extremely powerful but theyw ere still powerful when I was young and I had the privledge of supporting them but they did godmode too much. They did have some good rpers though.

OOC: Yes, yes, we all know the old GDODAD was infamous for godmodding, but that was the past. And even though I know this thread is a joke, it's still not fair to pick on us because of what happened in the past. What's done is done, and happened that way for a reason. GDODAD has gone from a large alliance of semi-poor RPers to a moderate alliance that is trying to focus more on good RP (hence why I've taken such an active role and applicants are screened heavily).
Some of you say that GDODAD dosen't actually do anything, but then on the same hand you criticize GDODAD for their past aggressivness. :? I know some of you haven't noticed, but GDODAD has been focusing on acquiring regions recently.

OOC: Well, whatever. Criticism is all well and fine, but it's not like GDODAD isn't doing anything. Like I said, right now we're gathering regions (which I've started doing recently for the first time, and I must say it's quite fun)and forming a huge ass alliance between us, Arda, and The Reich.
We are doing stuff, it's just we're biding our time at the moment (the hollidays are cause #1 for most of us).
The only reason I remembered GDODAD's name is because it looked like GODMODE.
OOC:
Love it or hate it, you've got to admit it. GDODAD does have brand recognition. Much more than many other alliances with their alphabet soup acronyms.
