Dominion City Chronicles
Religious Miracle Shocks City
Dominion City awoke to find one of its oldest surviving landmarks, Domitor Park, swamped with crowds gathered to bear witness to what some are calling a miracle.
The center of the park is the Square, where statues of Tirest's leaders have been erected since the beginning of the Reunification War. The oldest of the statues, a two-thousand year old marble likeness of the First, was discovered to be shedding tears of what appears to be blood. Chemical analyses and other tests have yet to determine the nature of the liquid, but one man in the crowd insisted that it "tasted like blood."
The statues stand in homage to the leadership that saw to the reunification of Tirest.
No word has yet come down from the Palace of the Ancients, though an undisclosed source close to the Domitor has said "We're all excited here. The will of the First is still with Tirest."
Police have been dispatched to maintain order in the Park after a riot threatened to break out early this morning. Local officials are urging the city to remain calm, even as rumors of pilgrims already en route reached the city around noon.
The woman who discovered the weeping statue has declined to be interviewed yet, on advice by her legal counsel. However, the Domitor is expected to meet with her to discuss a news conference some time tomorrow.
