Newbology for NS:
The 7-11 Uranium Newb:
This newbie heads into the NS forums as if it were a 7-11 and asks to buy weapons of mass annihilation. Very common.

The "I just like to piss folks off" Newb:
Also known as a troll, these newbs come to the forums with names like "The KKK Kicks Ass!" Or "Ilovehitler" Fairly common. Strangely enough they also fit into the newb coming next's group.

The MagicCraterWannabe Newb:
Usually a IJLTPFO Newb, these love nothing more than to be pounded into a mushy pulp. They dive headfirst into battles with a troop ratio of about 2000 to one.

The I lend money and aid to everyone Newb:
When they are at the forums they head to every research thread their is and pledge their undying support for whatever reason. These are fairly common and actually quite benign.

The Belligerant Opinionist Newb:
Seen all over the forums replying to posts made by the I Just Like to Piss Folks Off Newbs screaming bloody murder, they also love declaring wars on OOC threads.

The Grammatical Rapist Newb:
These newbies post the most incomprehensible posts in all the forums, they adore using numbers for words longer than 3 words as they are usually either foreign or on ebonics. They are incapable of spelling ridiculous with an I, its missing from their keyboards.

The Crude Lewd Newb:
These newbs have nothing better to do than flame random folks often using refrences to genetalia and sexual acts to get their point across, they usually belong to several other classes of newbs.

The Newb with too little grasp on reality:
These newbs love sending out a 5th of their 5 million population to war while somehow maintaining the home front in perfect order. They love all sorts of invincible mecha and orbital weaponry. Also known as a GODMODER.

The Newb With Too Much Grasp on Reality:
Attempts to solve and combat situation by debunking the enemies capabilty to harm them. They have memorized the muzzle velocity, ammo capacity, accuracy, and rate of fire for every weapon known to man.

The One Day Newb:
Simply put, they come to nation states, post a single message, usually an annoying one, and dissapear forever.

The Fame Justifies the Tech Newb:
These newbies usually base their entire nations on someother idea such as battle tech or halo, while most nations like this are fine, some think that if they name their country "The Pillar of Autumn" they automatically get all the stuff that comes with the universe.

The Ninja/Special Forces Newb:
These newbs have very little actual armies as their special forces are always "genetically engineered super soldiers." The abilities of their special forces include but are not limited too: Laser eyes, godlike accuracy, jump jets, nuke guns, arse fitted rockets, machine guns mounted on their fingers, invisibility, inhuman strength, and indestructability. A special form of GODMODER, they often fail to realize that they are doing so.

The Emperor of the World Newb:
These newbs often claim to have millions of men in their army while having a full population of 5 million, they attribute this to the fact that they rule some completely unknown and often made up region of the world that is under their iron fist.

The Newb with 12 arms:
Named so because they would need this many arms to keep one in each of their puppet nations arses. These newbs control 10-20, or even more nations that miraculously pledge their undying military might to their primary country.

Here are 2 interesting members of the "Godmodding" genus

The "I'm a victim newb":
This newb will do incredibly stupid things, such as dive into situations they cannot win and act like they have authority over everyone. When people get fed up and attack them, they will spend around 40 pages of awful RP pulling forces out of their cracks, during which they will cry to everyone for help and complain to the mods, and swear a lot. These newbs usually lack important NS skills, such as being legible. Usually become The Newb with too little grasp on reality if left alone.

The "Superweapon Newb":
A newb with about as much knowledge of military weapons that you can get from playing Command and Conquer Generals. Usually set up storefronts within 1st 24 hours of existence, and put up large pictures of weapons that exist, and give them horrible names and designations, and some stats along the line of "ithas 2 250mm cannon and it goes 80 miles per hour because it's made of plastics from the moon it is the best tank in the world", while failing to mention things such as the price.

Region Crasher n00b:
These noobs will threaten several regions with invasion, and will never post in the forums (thank god). They will form their own region, and will attempt to take over other regions. A very annoying group

The I Don't Want To Play Anymore Newb.

This Newb gets itself into a war on the winning side, or so they think, then when they lose they pretend not to have even joined in.

"Join My Region Newb"--> They come to every forum and post the topic, "My r3gi0n r00lz!" or some other inane topic. The text consists of "We're powerful, we hate [insert group], and you should join!" When no one replies, they either bump, launch another, or Telegram everyone in the game to join their region.

"Fake Newb"--> Launched by a veteran, they pose as the worst of the worst.

"Bait and Switch Newb"--> Starts misleading topics, such as "I love dog anus" (which deals with politics) or "I feel UN Resolution 1677926 is wrong" (which deals with dog anus).

The Newb's Newb: A newb who has taken it upon his or herself to inform the other newbs about the how's and wherefore's of RPing, usually via a "newb guide" that while it may be actually useful, due to laws of forum entropy, will only rehash previous newb guides, and rehash with less comprehensiveness and quality!

The Great Trasher Newb:

Occurs in all World Cups. RPs one line in the whole time between signing up and failing to qualify: 'WE JUST TRASHED <insert nation here>!!!' including three lines of smileys.

[Insert Witty Name]

This newb gets into a war he cannot handle, begins to lose, and so he insults everyone in the thread for playing a stupid game[NS] and needing to get life, despite the obvious fact that he is one of those people.

The Whiner Newb -- aka, a "mama's boy". Known to start whining if nothing goes his/her way. Whines, most of the time, for seemingly no apparent reason. Is known to whine in a very annoying fashion at the drop of the hat. This usually occurs if they are in an RP they can't handle, or they don't like it that they are being picked on because they pretend to know everything when really they don't.

The Know-it-all Newb -- self-explanatory; the person who pretends that because they've been around for a few mere days that all of a suddent they know EVERYTHING about the game.

Asking all bunch of questions about "how to roleplay", "how to declare war", etc. May also say "doesn't get it" if presented with stickies or/and other How-To-RP threads. Or after their inital questions are answered, they come up with another load of questions.

Mass Armament Newb:

Creates nation, comes to International Incidents. Goes to a storefront thread, orders tens of thousands of tanks, warplanes, and hundreds -- possibly thousands -- of warships. Outcome will most likely be ordering more than ten times of the nation's GDP worth of stuff. Doesn't necessarily have million man armies, but does claim to have thousand-ship naval fleets in a ten thousand man-strong navy.

There are quite a few "vets" who could fit those categories as well.

Furthermore, just because you have "super" soldiers as elites does not always call for the title of "n00b" to be brought down upon (if your future tech it *can* be ok) or for people like me whom RP their development (well at least announced that it happened).

OOC: Not necessarily. I believe Menelmacar is referring to those who post heading such as "I will kill all my elves! Look at me Siri!" and then write one line in the post such as:

"Today, in Elf Death Land, the rabid leader Mr. Death ordered the military to kill all the elves. 1234567890 elves were killed."

The Selective War Newb:

This newb launches a war, gets allies that are not puppets, and sets up a decent battle... right up until actual shooting begins. Then, amazingly, nothing works against him. He doesn't fire ignore cannons, or declare posts against him to be godmoding, he just pretends posts that he doesn't like don't exist. For instance, if three nations' soldiers are defending a city, the newb will gauge the armies arrayed against him, pick whichever he thinks is weakest, and attack that one. When the other two jump in, he'll blithely pretend they don't exist, posting attacks only against his chosen target (and usually declaring victory). All attempts to force him to pay attention fail, as he ignores those too. A very annoying person to RP with.

There are quite a few "vets" who could fit those categories as well.

I get to pretend to be invincible whenever I want to with the ALL to back me up! ^_^

The Kissass Newb (Note: Doesn't have to be a n00b, just acts like one)

A newb that is a complete and total hypocrite and spends his/her time pissing off numerous people and then, when caught, kisses a mod's ass to prevent any chance of getting punished.

Example: LOL your such a stupid little godmodder, you dumbass n00b!!! LOL! Oh, hi [Insert any mod here]!!! your SOOO good at RPing! I wanna be you when (if) I grow up!!!!!@!11

The 20 questions newb (Note: Doesn't have to be a n00b, just acts like one)

Asks numerous questions, as if trying to prove you wrong, and then freaks out when you answer it wrong, and starts asking more questions, getting more ridiculous with each question. Usually a Kissass newb and an Eager-to-know newb as well.

Example: Well what is [Insert something here]?! Well how does [Insert something here] work?! Why does [Insert something here] look like [Insert something here]?! HAHAHA!!! YOUR AN IDIOT!!! OMG!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! U SUCK!!!!! LOL!!! (Optional: Oh, hi [Insert any mod here]!! [Insert extremely suck-upish comments here])

(If anyone can identify who I'm mentioning in the above definitions, I'll give you fi' dolla and a cookie.)

Ultra Jesus was deleted for trolling so he got his puppet (the second nation listed) to request his nation being brought back. The second nation got deleted, too. Then he created Mega Ultra Jesus, who said he was now "temperarily tolerent of the Jews" and Mega Ultra Jesus got deleted. It all took place in a half hour. Blink and you'd miss it.

I must have blinked then because the names sound familiar but I don't know exactly what happened. Funny how the nation named after Christ should become Newbicus Anti-Christicus, course they say, the first place you should look for your enemy is in your midst. Wait a second, I just made that up now, they don't say that.

So named because this newb RPs okay in the beginning of the war, and sometimes has a reasonable amount of soldiers, but as soon as the forces enters into battle, declares instant victory with no actual battle RP.

Noobus Insidious

(Note: an appropriate answer is not "learn to roleplay" as this has clearly been stated about a million other times and is far too inspecific to really be of any help to a noob. I am a noob. In fact, this is my fourth time to play this as a noob. I have lots of experience as a noob and little as anything else.)

This newb will buy anything on the market, including robot-tuna torpedoes, nuclear hand grenades, and ignore cannons. He also buys thousands of weapons, and enough small arms to give every citizen of nations twice his size enough firepower to cause an international incident. When pointed out to that he has spent more than the GDP of the western hemisphere on arms, he will respond that this is just a game and he should be able to rape common sense as much as he wants because it's his birthday and his parents won't get him a car.

Non Humanis Newbus

A close relative to the SFnewbus, Non Humanis Newbus claims to be of a separate species then humanity. Said species has high tech and doesn't need infrastructure to live. Sometimes confused with Non Humanis Newbus Immortalis.

Non Humanis Newbus Immortalis.

A sub-species of Non Humanis Newbus, NHNI claims to be of a separate species then humanity and more. This species tends to believe its numbers at least 100 times its actual population, and each of those specimens is capable of destroying 1 million humans. Possessing special abilities, and often utilizing otherwise impossible weapons, the NHNI is impossible to beat under any condition.

Newbus Indestructis Ridiculanus

This species of newbie is very well documented. Capable of fighting as many as a dozen full scale wars at any time, NIR newbies suffer no damage or casualties. Their armies are always fully equiped and ready to fight, and even if they lose a war, their country is back to normal or better within a day. (Also known as Bisons Syndrome)

Newbus Nucleus Unendingus

This species has been spotted in larger numbers more recently. Capable of acquiring hundreds of nuclear weapons mere days after being created, these nations use their weapons freely, and have them magically replaced thereafter. A close relative of the Newbus Godmodeus.

Elf-hating Newb:

A newb that actually might not hate Elves, but is in awe of Menelmacar and so decides the best way to engage me in RP is to slaughter their entire indigenous Elven population. Falls into the Soon-to-die category as well.

These sorts of newbs can occur, though with less regularity, targeting other nations and/or species.

Newbus Thinkus Importantianus

This species of newbie believes itself to completely understand NS better than nations 5 times its age. They attempt to back up their claims with absurd rationalizations, and random quotes from the Forum (often made-up).

Newbus Allius Toomuchus

This species of newbie is unwilling to fight a war by itself. Whenever threatened said nation counter threatens with its "hundreds of allies billion man army" and their nuclear capacity. These nations tend to ignore invasions of their nation or claim their nation is unassailable (read as: GDODAD Underwater Bubble)
