An informal request by the general populace of Syrique is being placed for aid of any kind - food, medical, shelter; all are needed. However, the instability of the region necessitates that some sort of program to ensure the safe arrival of such goods to those who need it, rather than whatever faction can get their hands on it. This could be done with peacekeeping forces (via another nation, as I doubt NSRC has any) or perhaps simply by sending offical NSRC people to ensure that the deliveries make it to where they're needed.

This project would be left open to NSRC in its operation, as there is no stable government which could facilitate aid requirements and such.

(OOC: The proceedings of this project should occur in this (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=110677) thread, and the RP is open to anyone. Syrique should be seen much like one of the many instable and wartorn african countries.)

An estimated 3,000 people die a day these inhumane living conditions, the government of Fozafizzle is creating refugee camps but we need assistnace with Food and some small basic need items like water, more tents, blankets and such. We would need at least 20 million to make this happen. Thank you.

On behalf of the kingdom of Lumuria, I am requesting aid of any kind to help our devestated capital city of Eridu. An earthquake registering 7.0 on the richter scale hit the island on New years day and though loss of life has not been estimated, at least 10 million people call Eridu home as well as the city being the official seat of goverment operation for the kingdom.

Communications are basicly nonexistent in the capital,and an overflight by our local national gaurd, sees much devestation. Buildings collapsed, fires raging in the streets, water damage as a result of a tidal wave that overtook the city after the initial quake, a possible explosion at our main Nuclear Generating plant, which is located on the outskirts of Eridu, and overall mayhem and disorder.

The king was on holiday on the southern "New Wales"part of the island at the time of the quake and hasnt been able to be reached as of yet. Most of the infantymen in our kingdom's armed services were also on holiday, celebrating the new year, and so aid and help is very slow in getting to the region.

The king and his ministers can use any help from any orginizations that are willing to lend a hand either with physical presence, $$$, physicians, enginneers, military help, ect...

Any diplomatic issues with any other countries are being put on hold in order to help our peoples. Representitives of any help orginization may fly directly into "Enlil City International Airport".
Temporary goverment offices have been set up in Enli which was unnafected by the devestation.

OCC: How is this for you Red Cross?

I am sorry to report this latest piece of bad news to the NSRC, but 4 NSCR officials have been killed, and 17 injured in a guerrila ambush near Fozafizzles southeastern border. The perpetrators, there are 5 have been caught and are now in our custody. Fozafizzle will contact international courts to give these criminals punishment for their horrible war crimes.
