"...and in somewhat surprising news, a Government spokesperson today confirmed that HMI Government is indeed seeking to improve diplomatic and economic ties with Kalessin, a nation based in Arda - and that was involved in the invasion of the Empire earlier this year.
"The Government statement is brief, 'It is prudent to leave all options open, and the possibility of normalizing relations with states whom the Empire has previously been hostile towards (and recieved hostility in return) is simply one that cannot be ignored.'
"Public opinion appears to be against the Government on this matter, but a prominent Citizens House member spoke out against the population, stating that, 'The Government continues to have the best interests of the People at heart. Occasionally this is not immediately apparent, but time will tell.'
"And in sports news, Shelbattanu Rovers appear on course for yet another title, if the pundits are to be believed..."
