Xanthalian Armada grows 25%, Military grows 1000%.
Xanthal has announced plans to construct forty more Armada vessels in the intrest of remaining able to protect it's many citizens. The current plan for expansion calls mostly for warships, but a few other vessels will be constructed as well. The type of warships to be built was not specified, but authorities hinted at a new ship class.
The military will also get a boost from the nation's new defense plan, recieving more funding and a staff increase from one million troops to ten million troops, as well as more advanced heavy artillery and vehicles.
A change in plans will have the Armada building 90 new ships instead of the previously mentioned 40. Armada command now confirms that 75 of the new vessels will be Sabre class.
Interesting, can we make a simple request of the Xanthalians?
We need help to re-vamp the Armada Royale, can you provide some advice and the like?
It disturbs us that your "Armada Ropyale" consists over 200 Andromeda class ships. We recall giving you only five.
We built a large amount of them ourselves, because 5 Andromeda-Class ships are nice, but in the grand scale of things, like in a major Outer Space battle, they aren't going to last worth spit, no offense, and you've no cause to be worried, your own Armada is larger, and has some strong ships that we don't, plus our two nations are on good terms.
Perhaps you have not read Xanthalian sales policy friends, but duplication of technology we sell is supposed to be prohibited unless you obtain a license. Normally this offense would be just cause for seizure, but considering our relationship perhaps an alternative can be worked out. If you pay us $500,000,000 dollars (half the base price for manufacturing one Andromeda class ship) for every Andromeda class vessel you have built for yourself and an additional fifty trillion dollars for a manufacturing license we will simply let the incident pass and help you with any improvements you need. If you do not wish to pay the specified amounts, we will be forced to require you to give us all of the ships you illegally manufactured.
If we refused, you would be forced to destroy all of the ships in open battle, we don't surrender weapons of any kind easily, but, as we like you, and don't like fightng allies, we will simply "Pony Up" as they say, and pay the money you have requested, despite the fact we feel we shouldn't, in what currency do you wish to be payed?
Very well, but before we help you improve your fleet; know this: Andromeda class ships are one thing, if we ever find that you have duplicated or even attempted to duplicate the Dreadnaught class ship we sent you... Well, no sense in sounding threatening. We think that you have learned your lesson in this matter. However; if you want to build Dreadnaughts of your own someday, we encourage you to do it legally by first sending the Xanthalian government $100 trillion to pay for a Dreadnaught manufacturing license.
Now then, that was unpleasant... We apologize for sounding harsh, but these are weapons of war that you are duplicating. We cannot let you do that unless you have the proper licenses. As a warrior nation we're sure that you understand. Let's be clear that now that you have an Andromeda manufacturing license you no longer have any obligation to pay us for future vessels of that class that you build. However, you must report the number of vessels that you build annually for security purposes. If anything were to happen to the Kechan government we would want to account for all of the ships you had built. Note once more that, until you obtain a proper license, you are not authorized to build Dreadnaughts.
So, now that that's all behind us, what can we do to help you improve your fleet? Just bring your old Andromeda class ships up-to-date?
If we ever did build more Dreadnaught-Class ships without purchasing the license, it would be because we meant to wage war against you, which won't ever happen, also, if you don't mind, we'd prefer to make that annual report on a confidential basis, we have security to keep up, and yes, we do need to bring our current ships up to date.
The annual report is confidential, we assure you. Now, we can bring your ships up-to-date. We'll waive the labor fee, you just pay for parts. We suggest you have your ships rotate into drydock in the Aellis system five at a time for two weeks for each group of five. That way we should have all of your ships running in tip-top shape in just under one (NS) year.
OOC: Kecha, as a note: When this is done, all of your Andromeda class ships and your Dreadnaught class ship will have the specifications listed currently on TUXEDO.
OOC: Cool.
IC: We will rotate the ships in the manner you requested, we have 1 Dreadnaught-Class ship, and 299 Andromeda-Class ships, we did have 300, but the KAR-26 was lost with all hands aboard in combat.
OOC: Okay, make that 2 1/2 years. Damn, you really have been busy building, haven't you?
IC: Very well then. You will be sent the bill for the work once the task is complete.
OOC: Yup, we call it the HOLY ****! THAT'S FAST WORK! concept.
IC: Very well.
OOC: You can just assume they're all done in two days, don't IC worry about the cost, it can't get above about a trillion dollars. Just be damn glad, you got a mega deal off of my sloppiness. That number for half the base price of building an Andromeda class starship is missing three zeroes. An Andromeda class starship costs about $1 trillion to build, not $1 billion.
OOC: Silly you, we all makes foul-ups.
