Space Nations of the world, I, the Empress of Foe Hammer, present to you a proposal.

Almighty Space Nations, I propose to you the building of a new Worlddisc, but this disc shall be different. It will be so large as to cast a full shadow over it's predecesor. It will be twice as large as the Worlddisc, it will house more nations and more people than before, and it will have the defensive power to stop entire fleets in their tracks.

However, if approved, the construction alone will be a daunting task. It will cost at least three times the construction cost of the current disc, and will require more maintainance. The construction will require a very large amount of money, and will require millions of workers. Yet, if we band together, we will overcome it's challenges.

We cannot do this alone. We seek the help of many other nations in completing this task. Materials, workers and other supplies will be costly, but the end product of our work will be valuable compensation.

the lack of excitment involving your proposal is shocking considering the technology involved, i will send 6 billion credits and maybe more later if im impressed with the outcome.

We're still in the design phase, but the Supply ships are already setting up equipment in advance. Anyone is welcome to submit possible designs.

There's a simple explaination. Can you slap engines on a planet and move it? Good luck. With Worlddisc Genesis, the engines will be built in, so the station has the ability to move itself, or, if need be, some fleets could join up and heave-ho the thing into place. Or, simply use Sublight Sleds or Super Strength tow lines en masse and tug it to it's destination. Can't do that with a planet, can you?

Dontgonearthere is intested, we have lots of experience in building big things, IE: Small planets, ships, guns. So, what would be in it for us?

I could understand if it could go faster than light, there's potential for threat escape and avoidance there; but why make it mobile in sublight speeds? It's not the Sublight you're thinking of. So far, our Sublight drives have only reached about 50% Lightspeed, but this station should do about .75 SOL. Unless we get some assistance with the FTL research.

If the station should come under attack, the station's drives will kick in, an automated message will be transmitted to every friendly Starfleet, and the engine drives will quickly move the disc to the nearest Shipyard or Military station, where almost all of the Foe Hammer Starfleets and some friendly fleets will be waiting to defend the station.

The designs are not official yet. We may even think of building a massive Shipyard and Military base next to Worlddisc Genesis. None of Foe Hammer's Military Installations in the Milky Way are large enough to defend the Genesis.

Ok, last word on this subject -

We CAN defend it, but we just want to make defending it a simpler task, therefore we're going to add defensive weapons, fleets, and a military installation.

We of Sketch find this proposal to be disturbing to say the least. The creation of a massive space-borne platform, upon which multiple nations and billions of inhabitants will reside, is nothing more than a golden target of oportunity. Unlike a planetary based settlement, any breach life support systems could/would prove to be ultimately fatal to the entire populace of said space platform. Furthermore, such a facility would also be succeptible to various acts of terrorism which would be very hard to defend against.

We think that the time, money, and resources can be better spent more efficiently. Such as terraforming a hostile planetscape to something more suitable. Or perhaps even sending out more expeditionary groups to find and colonize far out systems.

We urge the nations involved to reconsider their committement to such a project. You will all find your resources taxed beyond its limits, and will have very little to show for it.
