Alex:Welcome to match of the day with me, Alex Dungate...

Simon: And me Simon Belmore with a special edition focusing on the upcoming four nations competion.

Alex: First of all lets look at the teams we will be up against,

Simon: Well first people to show their interest were Liverpool England so I went to see Alan City's Paul Dussis.

*Cut to Simon walking with Paul down a path*

Simon: So, Paul, the last few days have not been good ones for you have they?

Paul: No, with going out in the World Cup then the loss to the X-Teem in the Champions League my week has been pretty bad.

Simon: Liverpool England's first match is against Kaze Progressa in KP, but how much will you be wanting to get back at the X-Teem players that kicked you from the cup.

Paul: I'll be putting my heart and soul into that match, Alan City is my team now and we are not doing so well after loosing Belmore and I think we need a new fresh breath of air in the team to spark up the play especially with the new season coming up soon.

Simon: Thanks Paul and good luck Saturday.

*Cut back to studio*

Alex: Paul there preparing for his match away to Kaze Progressa. TBF have got what is thought to be the easier match of the lot against Mattigool, but they certainly won't be pushed over in there own back yard, I went to watch their league champions Goolsund BK's manager.

*Cut to Mattigool Premier League shots on goal*

Alex (Voice Over): TBF have got a ral unknown for our first match-away to Mattigool but just looking at their premier league shows an array of talent. So I went to see Goolsund BK's manager to ask him about the Mattigollian style of play.

*Cut to Manager and Alex walking down a path*

Alex: So Mattigool have TBF for there first match how are the lads feeling?

Manager: There very excited, it's not everyday you get to play footballing legends such as Alan Belmore & William Edwards.

Alex: No, quite. Back in TBF Mattagool are much of an unknown, what are your strengths?

Manager: The boys are very strong at the back, I will be suprised if the Belmorians can squeeze the ball through into the goal. However upfront we just don't have the strenght to go all the way, we can usually go halfway but we have little stamina

Alex: Thanks, I would say good luck on Saturday, but I'll be cheering on the Belmorians.

*Cut back to studio*

Alex: Here with us now we have Alan Belmore, Belmorian striker, back from Marauding FC's 4-0 victory over Dorminian Rovers in Bedistan. So, Alan what do you think is going to happen out there tonight?

Alan: It's a bit of an unknown really. No-one on the team has seen these guys before and we will have very few travelling fans due to the distance between FIFA and Meistertrainerforum so it'll be a toughie.

Alex: You've been under many attacks by the Dormianian Press saying your a traitior and shoud be banned from playing for TBF, how do you reply to that?

Alan: I am just doing my job really. I used to work for Alan City, now I am working for Marouding F.C.

Alex: Just before we go off air, what do you think your chances are for the World cup?

Alan: I think it's looking good. We've beeten Lemmy before and Svecia aren't as good as they were when they beat us in WC7 so I think this could end in a top 4 result.

Alex: Thanks Alan. Stay tuned because we'll be back tonight with all the highlights from TBF Vs Mattigool but now, West Enders.

Great! First international appearance. Mattigool is proud to join this tournament. A special edition of Mattigool Sports will be published later tonight.

Mattigool joins 4 Nations tournament

(Goolsund) Team Mattigool started its international carreer. At the beginning the team joins a 4 nations tournament with The Belfore Family (FIFA), Kaze Progressa (FIFA) and Liverpool England (The Heartland). Certainly nobody expects a successful participation (bets are at 2000:1), but as Coach Tore Rismo says: "It's an honour to join a tournament with teams so well known, some of their boys are just legends. We can only win one thing: experience."
30.000 football fans from all over Meistertrainerforum came to Goolsund tonight, expecting a loss against The Belfore Family. But in fact everybody joined a big party. Goalkeeper Erland Klokset became man of match and Gamsten was a rock in a very strong defense. As many said before shots on TBF's goal remained rare, but especially the promising talents from Goolsund BK Robin Bertheussen, Robert Juliussen and Alexander Kristensen didn't show any respect to their opponents.
The Mattigool squad: Erland Klokset; Jostein Grande, Jonny Grøtta Grav, Fredric Nerbø, Stian Wiik; John Erling Monsen, Gamsten (C); Raul Lindestad, Rolf Silseth; Robert Juliussen, Alexander Kristensen.
Subs: Sturla Ingolfsson, Tom Eskil Mohlin, Jan Ove Johannsen, Morten Strand, Lars Iver Pedersen, Tore Moen, Robin Bertheussen

From the Daily Kangaroo:

IRAFMA FINISHES OFF THE LIVERPUDLIANS AGAIN

Kaze Progressa's historic victory over Liverpool England in WC9 qualifying was repeated last night with a sensational 3-2 victory in the Progressair Stadium in the Four Nations tournament.

The heroes of the hour were veterans Faiwe Irafma and Eauam MacKazie, who have decided to make this tournament their last before retiring from international football. MacKazie asserted his influence throughout the match, making up for his lack of pace with excellent positioning and judgment in the tackle, while Irafma showed that - even at 35 - he remains the most dangerous finisher in Progressan footballer with the two goals that sealed the game.

It was the Liverpudlians who struck first and early. On seven minutes, Paul Dussis sidestepped Aeuwal Maurto before, with MacKazie charging in, unleashing a thunderbolt shot from 20 yards that left Eaka Palera no chance. Dussis had scored for Alan City in their 3-1 defeat to Kaza X-Teem in Bedistan last week, and just as in that match the Progressan rivals struck back quickly. This time it was Huqi Vaiwalo-Mua's cross that met the head of Ekazen Waulino, who easily directed it into the top corner. Twelve minutes gone, and already a goal for each side.

That set the tone for a relentlessly attacking game. The Progressans, playing their usual 3-5-2 formation, passed and moved, but were helpless against the Liverpool England groove of cross-field lobs over the midfield and into the heart of a numerically weak defence. Dussis took advantage of one in sensational style sixteen minutes before the break, controlling it on his shoulder before outrunning the otherwise impressive MacKazie and chipping the onrushing Palera from the edge of the penalty area.

2-1 at halftime was a fair scoreline, but the Progressans were transformed after the break, keeping the ball like it was their own personal toy. Inevitably Irafma was able to take advantage eventually, though it was only from the spot on 64 minutes after being bought down by an elbow to the back in the box while shaping to shoot. Ironically enough, Irafma had scored a penalty to level the scores at 2-2 against Ravenspire in the World Cup, but while that match finished in 3-2 defeat, this was to finish with the reverse scoreline. Perhaps fittingly, it was sealed by a goal almost identical to the goal that earned the Progressans famous victory against the same opposition in World Cup 9: substitute Fayu Owa danced down the left wing, opening up space for a cross nodded into the roof of the net by Irafma. Owa later pointed out at interview that the tricks on the ball he used in this move differed from those in the one several years before; 'In that match I did a sidestep left to beat one defender, a sidestep right to dodge the wing-back and a sidestep left to create space for the cross; this time I did a step-over to beat the wing-back and a spin to take out the last defender and get into position for the cross,' he said.

Later, MacKazie was the hero, clearing two Dussis shots off the line within two minutes of each other and making several vital tackles as the last defender, including one in the second minute of injury time on Dussis. MacKazie's clearance was volleyed into touch by Irafma, and that was the last kick of the game. A famous upset had been replicated.

Turilan Buradol, manager for the Progressans, said the result was 'proof we have grown over the years... when we won last time against these guys everyone said it was a massive upset, but now we've replicated it and shown we can consistently compete with anyone on our day. Since that 1-0 win in the World Cup [9] qualifying, everything about us has become better - even our stadium, which has had that lovely second wing extension since then. And those extra fans really helped us come through tonight.'

*59th Minute*
And it's player 7 with the ball, plays it to player 5 who lofts it to player 9, Alan Belmore comes in with a strong tackle, player 9 nine gone down hard. I think he's done something to his ankle, not good for Matigool's first match, I think they've got an injured player there. Not very good, not very good at all. Player 9 is being strechered off, the ref is running to Alan Belmore it'll be another yellow meaning a red card has been shown. A brutal takle there and he'll be out of TBF's next 2 matches in the 4 nations, bad move.

*71st Minute*
And played down the centre to Dunner, across to Goshawk, but that's a good takle by number 3. Booted high and headed on by Player 7 to Player 8 takes a shot from distance but nicely into the keeper's hands.

*79th Minute*
JP's piling the pressure on, weaves passed one defender and another, only 2 more to beat. Pulls right only player to beat, nutmeg, through on goal, corner of the box, travells down the line, keeper comes out, plays it into the centre for Dunner..... Over, no, how did he miss that? Dreadful play by Alex Dunner!

*90th minute*
This will be the last attack of the game as player 6 pulls it down the line, Dunner tackles, that's it the final whistle has blown, Mattigool have held TBF to a draw, what a great new side.

Mattigool still unbeaten

(Goolsund) Team Mattigool keeps unbeaten at the 4-Nations-Tournament. The match versus Kaze Progressa, which demolished Liverpool England (1st in ranking) twice in a row before, luckily ended 0:0. But the double effort, 4-Nations-tournament on one hand, First Meistertrainerforum Cup at Goolsund on the other, obviuosly left its tracks, for Team Mattigool didn't reach the semifinals at home. Not before the draw against KP the team started to show its qualities at MFCup, surely too late, because it only could go for Rank 5. First East Germany was sent home 2:0, a well deserved victory, then Monkwearthmouth was put in its place. Surely a reaction to the Monk's bragging after 1:1 during the Group Phase. Central midfielder Gamsten already announced that Jezinho's (MWM's coach) bragging would let him fall deep. 25.000 showed their satisfaction, when Ronny "The Hulk" Laursen made the winning goal in 77th minute.
But Tore Rismo and his team won't regenerate too long. Liverpool England wants to rehabilitate for shame at KP. Rismo announced a change of tactic. "The Hulkster played so well in the matches against EG and MWM, he'll also play against LE. Monsen will stay on the bench." That means a more offensive team. We hope that this won't become some kind of boomerang against a team that strong.

HOW DO THESE NEW BOYS DO IT?

Kaze Progressa went from ecstasy to agony in the Progressair Stadium last night with an embarrassing 0-0 draw against Mattigool.

The rank newcomers to international football, who also shut out the Belmore Family, have been rumoured to be tampering with the goals.

'They create force shields around each goal so they don't concede any. Unfortunately, they can't set them to last less than eight hours, and so they have to set the shields on both goals so that there are no goals at either end,' claimed former Progressan manager and amateur physicist Chares Catrar. He claimed to see a Faiwe Irafma shot in first-half injury time beat Erland Klokset at the far post before mysteriously curling wide, despite having flown arrow-straight when it was first hit. Others in the stadium insisted the shot deflected off Fredric Nerbø for a corner which Nerbø went on to head away from danger.

The Mattigool Football Association have yet to comment on the matter. The Progressans face the Belmorians in the Progressair Stadium in their next match.

TBF give LE trashing in their own backyard!

Yes, TBF had an amazing victory last night over the Liverpool England giants. It was Larry Wellden who provided the breakthrough scoring 2 goals.

The first came after 19 minutes when Dunner ran the ball down the wing going past 2 defenders then whipping in a stunning cross that was met by the head of Larry when evan a touch by the keeper couldn't keep the ball out of the goal. The second came late in the game, on the 87th minute, with Larry Wellden curling a free kick round the Liverpudlian Wall that absolutly thumped the back of the net, a real spectacle to see.

From the Kangaroo:

PROGRESSANS EATEN UP AS GOSHAWK SWOOPS

Kaze Progressa's schizophrenic start to the Four Nations tournament - beating Liverpool England before drawing against Mattigool - moved into another depressing phase as they lost 3-2 to the Belmore Family in the Progressair Stadium.

The first fifteen minutes were frantic, the Belmorians taking the lead on eight minutes through Parkinson's header from a corner before Craita Weseydal equalised three minutes later, this time heading home a Muqlin free-kick. End-to-end attacking football continued throughout the first half, with both Will Edwards and Eaka Palera making a succession of fine saves. Eventually, the Progressans took the lead eight minutes before half-time through a goal that was quirky in the extreme; Muqlin, spying Edwards coming off his line, attempted a curling lob, which came off the head of Wickersham and into the path of the onrushing Irafma, who poked the ball into the open net on the volley.

The second half saw the Progressans waste a great chance to double their lead on the hour, when Muqlin's header from a corner came off the bar. The ball bounced to Weseydal, ten yards out with Edwards out of position, but Weseydal's shot was straight at Wickersham who cleared the danger.

The Belmorians punished the Progressans for their mistake with two goals in six minutes - or more specifically Goshawk did. His surging run past Maurto and MacKazie left him with an easy sidefoot finish past Palera in the 72nd minute, and with twelve minutes to play his first-time predatory strike in the six yard box after Laurence Wellden's miscued volley proved to be the winner, in spite of Jaruna Jaff hitting the crossbar direct from a corner in the 86th minute and the rebound off Weseydal almost doing the same.

2 late goals sink Progressans

The Belmore Family's Latest Match was against Kaze Progressa. The match was opened by Fred Parkinson who contradicted the run of play when his freak touch on a cross in left the Pregressans just watching while TBF took the lead. But it didn't last long, with Craita Weseydal getting a fabulous header on target from a stunning free-kick. After hard fought play from the Progressans they got into the lead when Muqlin, realising Edwards was off his line tried a lob which was headed away by Wickersham. Cleaverly, Irafma, seezing the opertunity, came up and blasted the ball into the open net.

After halftime, both teams came out refreshed displaying firey football with Thomas Wickersham narowly keeping the Progressans from going 2 goals up with a heroic block on the line. But it seemed that after about 70 minutes Kaze Progressa lost all their steam. Goshawk, after 72 minutes ran past both Maurto and MacKazie with relative ease just placing the ball under Palera's diving body to take the scores back to 2-2. But the match was sealed by hero Johnny Goshawk who made it 3-2 when he collected the ball after rebounding off the crosbar, after Larry Wellden's stunning volley, placing it nicely into the back of the net.

Back to reality?

(Goolsund) In their 3rd game at 4-nations-tournament Mattigool finally suffered the long expected defeat. Was the offensive tactic Tore Rismo tried for the first the reason for this defeat? Tor did not deny, but he also stated that team Mattigool has a lot to learn and that you can't expect success in every match, specially if you have to play against three of best known football teams. "I am not happyabout that defeat, but as I said before we have joined this tournament for gaining experience, and we gained a lot tonight."
Without Gamsten and Klokset the final result would have been worse, for they were the only Mattigoolians showing the same class the LE players had.

From the Kangaroo:

TO L-EASY AS LIVERPUDLIANS WALTZ TO VICTORY

Kaze Progressa were on the recieving end of a firm defeat in the CCL Arena last night, losing 2-1 to Liverpool England in a scoreline that hardly reflected the Liverpudlian superiority.

The match was all one-way from the opening ten minutes, the Liverpudlians earning a series of corners that put Palera under pressure. A Paul Dussis volley from one of these corners, on eight minutes, was just reward for this.

The Progressans were barely shaken into life; Irafma's pot-shot on 21 minutes from as many yards, which caught the outside of the near post, was the only meaningful chance they created in the whole of the first half. Blackmore was incredibly unfortunate not to double the lead on 35 minutes when his vicious free-kick slammed into the face of Aeuwal Maurto, then fell back to him for another attempt which hit the crossbar, hit Dussis and somehow fell into Palera's hands.

Liverpool England - and Blackmore - didn't have to wait long after half-time to deliver the deserved second goal. Barely ninety seconds into the second half, Blackmore outpaced Maurto and MacKazie before a cool sidefooted finish easily beat Palera.

The Progressans proved more determined, and Fayu Owa's trickery did create chances for himself, Irafma and Weseydal, but by the time his chip over the head of two defenders was volleyed home by Weseydal there were just six minutes to go and all that the goal had ensured was a slight edge of nervousness to the end of the match.

The Progressans will definitely want to improve when they visit Mattigool on their longest away visit of the tournament. Their defensive record has led to accusations of goal tampering from former manager Chares Catrar, but they did not score in their first three games, although they did score in a shock 1-1 draw against the Belmorians who are the tournament leaders, albeit with a lead halved to two points. Defeat in this match would send the Progressans to the bottom of the table.

Gamsten! We love you!

(Goolsund) Last night Gamsten made the first ever Mattigoolian goal in 4 nations tournament. A freekick fom half right position found its way right into TBF's goal. And it didn't look that good for Mattigool when TBF already scored after 5 minutes. Everybody expected a demolishing defeat of Mattigool then. But the team showed an astonishing moral. During the first halftime TBF had some chances, but Klokset showed his class again. Then Mattigool started a never expected run to TBF's goal. But the experienced TBF defense had no problems. But when "Hulk" Laursen was fouled in the 82th minute Gamsten's unbelievable freekick from 20 meters let TBF's goalie no chance.

TBF pull off 1-1 draw against Liverpool England infront of Home Crowd

The Belmore Family, fielding the all new WC11 squad struggled to a 1-1 draw against a mighty Liverpool England. It was Fosam Smith who got the vital goal late in the 76th minute to clinch the 1 point after Dussis had put Liverpool England in the lead following a lightning freekick just before the break. This leaves the title all down to the last match with the table looking like this:

The Belmore Family5 2 3 0 07 04 +3 9
Liverpool England 5 2 1 2 07 07 00 7
Kaze Progressa 4 1 1 2 06 07 -1 4
Mattigool 4 0 3 1 01 03 -2 3[/code:1:4b9aba7d72]

Liverpool England have the upper hand, having a what should be a simple away match against Mattigool. Whereas TBF have the awesome task of having to fight for a draw against Kaze Progressa.

It was the HULK

(Goolsund) 40.000 were celebrating Mattigool's first win in 4 nations tournament last night. Kaze Progressa was sent home after an embarrassing performance. Very self confident at the beginning of the tour, when LE was beaten, KP finds itself at the bottom of the table now. Fayu Owa's trickery didn't work, because Gamsten always was one step quicker. Therefore Irafma end Weysedal were on their own to create chances. On the Gools' side it was the Hulk playing himself into ecstasy. The first goal after 23 minutes was the result of a counterattack with Owa loosing the ball to Gamsten in the Mattigoolian half as offspring. Gamsten played a long ball to left winger Lindestad. Lindestad moved forward with the ball and put a low cross in to the near post. The Hulk was there with a fantastic diving header. 1:0 !!!
12 minutes later the Hulk scored again. Grande had the beating in the air of Irafma and cleared. Laursen took the ball, advanced with it and hit a fierce right foot strike. 2:0!! Unbelievable!! 2:0 at halftime. But the Gools were shocked when Gamsten had to go off in 50th minute. He suffered an hip-injury, that will make him unavailable for two weeks. Tore Rismo sent Youngster Jan Ove Johannsen as substitute. And although he showed a good performance Johannsen was not good enough for Owa, whose fine banana shot beat Klokset in 75th minute. Now the Gools look forward to meet LE again. A second win and they'll find themselves on 2nd place at the end of the tour! Who had expected that before? Even a win of the tour is still possible!

TBF vs KP:
TBF win, champions TBF, KP bottom
Draw, LE must win by at least 3 goals to win the championship, if not TBF win the championship, KP last.
KP win, KP 3rd place, all LE need to do is win to secure the title
Professional Opinion: TBF 2 KP 2

LE vs Mattigool
LE win, LE must hope that TBF lose
LE win by more than 3 goals, LE must hope TBF do not get a win, as a draw would give LE the title on goals for.
Draw, TBF win the title, KP bottom regardless of TBF-KP result
Matigool win: Matigool 2nd place, LE 3rd
Mattigool win by at least 4 goals: MAttigool would win the title if TBF draw or lose.

The Gools still unbeaten at home

(Goolsund) During the final match of 4 nations tour the winner stayed at home in TBF. The 1:1 draw did not help either LE nor Mattigool. In a fast paced match Christopher (LE) and Laursen were the scorers. The final defeat of TBF meant no harm for them. LE finished as 2nd, the Gools on 4th place (same points and Goal-Difference as KP).

Final Score:
MATTIGOOL 1
Laursen (65)

LIVERPOOL ENGLAND 1
