This report, effective Earth date January 1, 3320, has been jointly released for review by the international community by the Socialist Republic of Xanthal's Ministry of the Armada and Military and Ministry of Research and Science in accordance with chapter 100, section 22, article 16 of Xanthalian law requiring the Republic to detail it's weapon stores in an internationally published report every decade.

Lietuveska is officially anti-WMDs, and has always been. We do not condone the holding of biological, chemical, radiological, or nuclear weapons.

However, Xanthal is a respected nation in the international community, and all nations should have the right to own WMDs if they wish. Therefore, we wish Xanthal luck in the future, and hope that they can continue to present restraint regarding WMDs.

The Kechan Government finds some of these weapons to be incredibly vile, but recognizes the right of Xanthal to make/have them as a Sovereign Nation.

Lietuveska: Our programs are currently inactive, and we are proud to say that we have never in our history deployed a biological or chemical agent. We maintain our current stores because of their quick threat-subjugation capability if the military is defeated or unable to respond to a situation.

The Belmore Family condems all use of chemical and biological weapons and asks Xanthal what is the need for the exess of weapons this report has shown. We apprieciate that a nation may hold a few Chemical and Biological weapons but is this not too many?

Belmore: You should see our stock of Nova Bombs.

The Belmore Family and Kecha: Actually, we just reduced our WMD stores by over 90% not too long ago. What you see on the first post are only the last remenants of the weapons we formerly had loaded with those agents (and some even nastier agents too). We also have way fewer nova bombs and other WMDs than we did before.

OOC: Is it really wise to announce to the international community your entire stock of biological and chemical weapons?

It's policy. The Xanthalian government is allowed to classify things only in the most extreme circumstances, and things can remain classified for a maximum of ten years unless a 90% vote by the Senate classifies it indefinately.

Plus, WMDs are best used to deter potential enemies, how can you deter someone with something they don't know exists?

First of all, I wouldn't be your "Dear boy" for all the money in the Universe, and to make them fear unknown WMDs, you still must let them know you have WMDs, this tactic of using fear of the unknown can work, but then they might decide to take the chance that you don't have very many WMDs.

Kecha, just out of curiosity, what is the male/female ratio in your nation? I know it used to be near 0:1, but I get the sense it's higher now.

Xanthal: Depends on the region, species, etc..., but the average is 5 females for every one male.

OOC: I was just making sure you didn't think I was that way if you, the RL player, is indeed a female. :P
