Disclaimer: All of this storyline is made up. If any of it is similar to any events, real or ficticious, it is merely a coincidence.
The Northern Cities has made
The Land of Ner
The land of Ner is a large, but mainly uninhabited continent hundreds of miles away from other civlization. Ironically, it is here, in Ner's northern cities where civilization is at its worst. The Northern Cities are the regional superpower by their opressive regime.
Five hundred years ago, foreign colonists arrived in the uninhabited continent of Ner to create a perfect colony, without war or trouble. However, humans are always evil, no matter how much self-control they exercise, and thus eventually a revolt wiped out the pacifists and an opressive regime took over. The evil regime has been in power for two hundred years before this takes place. The eigth "emperor" is now in power, named "Emperor" Nerian IV.
Even though isolationist in its basic root, the government has aquired modern technology through spies and occasional foreign traders that have wondered too far from their course (the traders were interrigated and then put to death). They have fairly modern technology and ideas, but it was all twisted by the government, so their reality is very much alternate.
Here's how the RP works. There are a few merchant ships and cruise ships that all get off course in a hurricane. They crash on the coast of Ner. There is a giant shield over Ner so it is virtually undetectable by radar and satillites, so the people end up in uncharted territory. In Ner, it is mainly rainforest except towards the north. The continent is largely uninhabited, but occasional raiding parties of the dictatorship and of course the actual federation is consisted of three cities and many villages to the north of the continent. You must RP the survivors as they try to escape from Ner and the Federation of the Northern Cities.
Okay. Here's how you sign up. You create a character of your choice, RP how your character survives, and then RP the whole escape it is going to be very fun. To add an extra twist, one of the merchant ships that crashed was carring weapons for a military
