Now, everybody likes fighting, even if we don't admit it. So, here we can come together and basicaly fight, shoot and try to complete objectives.
There is only one rule;
NO FUTURE TECH!
Nothing against it personly, but it can get in the way whenyou have 5 Super Space Light travel úber carriers landing next to 50 GI's, yeah?
So, to particpate just post below, with a team name and a team for the first event, shown below.
Event #1
Hostage in The Mountains
-Location
http://www.afghanmagazine.com/july99/afggeo/images/mountains.jpg
A mountain sector incorparating steep climbs with large plateaus for varied results. The river provides tree growth in the area but towards the top snow and ice sets in making most growth impossible.
-Situation
A terrorist contingent have taken hostages to location in this mountain area. We have narrowed down the search to this specific area, and we are 99% certain this is the location of the hostages. Intel. think that there are 2 families up there as well as high ranking military general.
We have been informed that the terrorists are in a number of arround 15, but this could be false, allowing for numbers up to 50, or 75.
You will be airdropped with your team in a spot at sea level where you will find a radio, torch and rations for 2 days. Ater this period you are expected to survive to your own ability, make use of the river is the only hint we can give.
The rations provided are enough for 5 people to survive on, so you will send 5 people.
Now, your transport is waiting outside. Oh, and do pick up your laser weapons as you leave. DISMISED.

Chris Sheer tugged at his blind-fold and ripped it off. His gaze adjusted into view and gave the order for the others to take theirs off too. He looked around and took in his surroundings. By the looks of it they were in a valley of some sort, the grass was brown and old suggesting that the temperatures dropped badly during most of the day and night. There were a few tents set up nearby and a large red flag was standing towards the front of the camp with the words, "AlphaCornix" boldly written. The navigator wandered over to Chris and held out an elaminated map.
"Sir, I think I've located our position. We're towards the east of the mountain - look its up there. We're in a valley here and are surrounded pretty much by woodland," He said. Chris traced the blade of grass the nav was using to point out the position.
"All right," He said, "We better head off towards the mountain way. You say there's woodland around here. Where's the river?"
"Its up and over the valley, quite some way away," The Nav replied. Chris took a look at the map.
"All right, we'll take a detour over the cliff face here, shouldn't be too much of a climb. We'll then cross the woodland about here and take the rest of the valley up to the river," He explained. The Nav nodded and left to get his pack. "Ok lads, pack your climbing gear on this one, we're gonna need it. You've got 5 minutes to prepare. We've got to cover 20 miles in 2 hours, we'll run if we have to!"
The men scattered and gathered their things. Chris scrambled up a large jutting rock and took a look along the valley. He sky was clouded and grey, it was going to storm soon, and hell, climbing certainly wouldn't be made any easier.
It had all ready began to rain. The team had stopped every now and again, but the lengths of time between them were longer and longer. They were constantly against the clock and had to get out of this valley before the rain got worse. They had covered the commencing 20 miles along the dip of the valley in a part run, part fast walk style. The cliff face they had to scale was in sight and it didn't look at all welcoming. All ready the rocks would be slippery and it looked as though it would be a tough face to climb anyway.
It took AlphaCornix 5 minutes to set up the climbing equipment at the bottom of the cliff face. From there it looked terrifingly high and the rocks were incredibly sharp and loose. The harnesses were belted but no one spoke. It was wet and all ready the cold and harsh physical endurance was taking its toll.
"Ok Guys, we'll rest when we all reach the top. I'll go first and set up the belay," Chris Sheer shouted over the rain.
Chris took a deep breath and embaraced the cliff face. He kept close to the flat of the rock and always checked his hand holds and feet holds twice. He scrambled and clmabered up the rocks as quickly and as carefully as he could while his heart pounded. His vision flashed as lightening appeared in the dull sky. As he approached half way his grip was becoming very poor. He clapped some more chalk on his hands and continued, finally making it to the top.
Before long everyone was up. Rob Page had almost fallen as a rock came loose and dropped. Chris folded his harness and fitted back into his pack. He checked his watch. They were making good for time, at this rate they could probably make it through the forest before night fall and have an extra hour of sleep. For now they rested, still in silence.
An hour later they had hit the last steep climb of the valley and had finally cleared it. It had been tough and exhasting but they had endured it. Finally they could see the mountain in the mist of the pouring rain. The forest was ahead, Chris's plan was to make it through there and over the other side towards a hillock where they would make camp for the first night. Then they would begin the mountain the next day. After another short rest they embraced the wood. It was thick and dark and very difficult to navigate. For the first time on the journey so far they had stopped several times to check the area for clues. They hadn't found anything, the Nav had guessed the terrorists had come from the North. After an hour they made it from the woodland and set up 1st camp. The sky was becoming dark but thankfully the rain was dying down. They had covered roughly 40 miles in half a day and now took a well deserved rest.

George slowly surveyed the area after his team was dropped off. He pulled out his binoculars, scouring the landscape for the river.
"Damn mountains."
After scanning for another few moments, he saw the glimmer of clear, running water, many miles off. He then searched the terrain in front of them, trying to figure out the best way to reach it.
"Alright, men, we're heading in that direction." He points. "The river's definitely a good day's travel from here, considering the difficulty this terrain will present. We'll need to traverse numerous mountains, potential avalanche zones...and there's a small forest along the way as well, I believe. We need to keep our eyes, ears, and other senses peeled for enemy movement. If we can take any lone terrorists alive, so much the better for intel. Understood?"
The other team members nodded, then quickly gathered up their items and the supplies left for them.
"Alright, let's move out."

In a cave on ther mountainside a group of unshaven men sit arround a flickering fire. Behind them is a large man wearing military uniform, a gag, handcuffs and constantly being beaten. The flame grew a little as he tried to scream for help, but ti was no use-there was nobosy for miles out.
Aftre a few minutes sitting in the cave, the group are joined by another man. He is also unshaven, but looks like he has been living a rougher life than the group in the cave.
"Che Yenté, Che Yenté" He cried as he ran through the cave opening. From arround the fire stood a puzzleds looking man. He had a pointy grey beard which stretched up into his thinning hair.
"What, what it is that you disturb me?" he spoke with a cuban accent, which had begun to be influenced by a Pablicostan society speaking english.
"Che, Soldieros!!!Soldieros!!!" Yelled the man with his poor english and bad accent. He pointed down the mountainside as he spoke, and Che Yenté looked.
"There coming gentlemen. Lets move" his voice rang out down the shallow cave to where the rest of the men sat. They stood quickly and took up their AK47 rifles.
"Bring Him!" Shouted Yenté, pointing to the general.
"Come" he cried again, as he swung out the cave entrance and round onto the rocky mountainside. He took out a stick and lead his men up the mountain, ushering several other groups of the terrorists to join him from arround the site.
As they neared the top they saw the final group of men, who were holding down three men, two children and two women. They had guns to their heads poised to shoot.
"Goodevening Ladies and Gentlemen. Have you enjoyed your stay with us?"
A quivering male shouted,
"Yeah, its been a real blast!"
The only response he got was;
"You dare cheek me, which are your wife and children!?"
A woman and young girl, arround 15, stood up and were lead away by the troops.
Now, your wife and child are being raped, and you are going to die-are you sorry?!"
Che Yenté slung his AK47 of his shoulder and shoved into the man's back as he walked him away to a cliff edge. He turned the man arround at the edge and fired a bullet into his leg.
"Anything to say?" Asked Yenté cockily.
The man only screamed in pain, but managed to shake his head.
"Good, then you will die quietly!"
Yenté stepped back a few feet and aimed to the chest of the man.
He Fired.
The man fell backwards, his back leaning over the cliff. His chest still rose every second, so Yenté fired again.
It stopped.
The body fell down the 130ft drop into a natural pool.
Che Yenté walked back to his men and sat waiting or the troops.
The team woke up the next day to find the rain had ceased and finally the sun shone. They were quick to eat and pack up on Chris Sheer's orders.
"Ok men. We begin the mountain today. We've got a good 10 miles tog o until we reach it though and we have to do it in quick time. Let's go!" He shouted. The men slung their weapons over their shoulders and trudged off across the frosted countryside.
There was a good walk until one of the men at the front suddenly swore and stopped. Frantically he grabbed the binoculars and stared through them.
"Oh God, sir, look up there!" He cried. Chris looked up. He could just about make out specs on the edge of the mountain.
"Nav! Locate them on the map!" He ordered.
"Yes, sir!" Chris ran forwards and clambered up a rock for a better look. They were on the move, no doubt they had spotted the team. He could make out a struggle going on, he could tell it was a hostage.
"Guys I think we've got a crisis! They're about to kill one of the hostages!" Chris growled. The men followed him up the rock to take a look.
"Got him on the map sir! If we could make it up that sheer cliff we could reach them in a day, but we can't. We'll have to take the detour, probs about a 2 day walk!" The nav cried. Chris sighed. There was a gun shot that echoed around the countryside. Some of the team swore loudly. Chris leapt from the rock and began to sprint up the hills toward the beginning of the mountain. A man was falling straight down the cliff face and was about to land in the sharp rocks near where they were. To the other men Chris had just disappeared behind the distant rocks, but then came a loud voice.
"MEDIC!" He cried. All of the other men ran over nonetheless. It was a sickening sight. A dead man with a pale face lay floating in the glittering pool. Red blood began to majestically fill itself everywhere in the water like smoke. Chris grabbed the man and dragged him out . There was a bullet wound in his leg and his chest, he was dead.
"Well we've lost one all ready," One man sighed.
"Ok men. We've got their position now, after them!" Chris cried, and with a new fuel of determination the team marched on.

After Stan and his team had jumped and gathered, Stan put the rifle on his back and said: "Okay boys, here we are. I hope you enjoy your holiday, but don't take it too easy. We are already a bit late from the schedule, so we got to move as quickly as possible. Keep your eyes open and your weapons ready, you might have to use them. Ok, let's put up a some kind of a plan now. Gastovski, you have the map?" The sergeant took a map from his backpack and gave it to Stan. Stan opened the map and took out a pen. "Ok, boys. First, we all march together here.. To the north. From there, we will scatter so Dave goes here, up this cliff and takes a good position to snipe. Then Kevin and Michael go around this mountain, and prepare to attack. I and John will go from the opposite side of the mountain, and tomorrow, we're ready to attack. Any questions?" Dave stepped forward and said: "Yes sir, what if i as an lone wolf encounter any enemies?" Stan replied cold: "Well, then you peek that rifle on them and pull the trigger. Any more stupid questions? Ok, let's move on. We have a long way to go."
The night came. They put up a camp in a small forest. "We must have a guard on every moment. John, you guard the first 2,5 hours. Then it's my turn. After me, Kevin takes the post. After another 2,5 hours Michael guards. And the rest of the morning, it's Dave's turn. Ok, let's go and take some sleep, we have a long way to go tomorrow."

As Che returned to his men he heard the troop cry, "Medic".
Shiiit He sprant back towards the cliff edge, with five others following him. Their weapons were drawn and loaded as Che stood at the cliff edge. He took aim silently on the troops checking out the body of the dead man. Suddenly more arrived arround him. As the other militants took aim at the group Yenté nodded. A small hail of fire opened up on the CornixPes men. They quickly retreated and began moving the terrosists out. They headed North down the mountainside, leaving a tent where they had camped. They took the hostages that remained aswell and looked ot be making a run for it.

The sun was rising and Dave, returning from his guarding post, woke up the soldiers. But then they noticed that Stan was gone. "Those terrorist must have captured him. I'm taking the command from now. We must move very quickly so we can rescue him before those assheads kill him. Dave, we need to contact the other teams. Search the channel quick!" Michael said. After 2 minutes Dave gave the phone to Michael and said: "We have a radio contact with CornixPes now, sir!" Michael took the phone and said: "Team CornixPes, do you copy? This is team Sebytania. I repeat, do you copy? Our leader has been captured! CornixPes, come in!"

IC: Michael had been trying to open channel with CornixPes for a while, but there was a complete radio silence. "Damn, it must be that mountain... Hey, did you hear something? Shots! Someone is firing at the mountain! Let's hurry! Dave, you stay here, snipe the enemies when i give order and contact base if there is any major problems. I and the rest climb up to the mountain. We must make it quick! This is not just about the hostages and our mission. This is about Stan's life!"
OOC: Erm, it's so silent here...
The heather was thick around the team. It rose high and loomed over them, overgrown. The rocks around them were high and sharp and were the only thing they had to navigate themselves up the steep climb. The team were hot and exhasted despite the cold as they pushed on, mile after mile, each man thinking about the dead hostage lying in that pool.
They climbed from the heather and up another steep climb that look them, supposedly level with the cave they had seen the terrorists in early that day. However, night was drawing near once more, and there was no way they could make it to the cave that day. There was no suitable camp site nearby so they had to carry on to search for one. Darkness began to loom around them. The cliff was still near and it was too windy to set up in the open. They had stopped for a short break sending Chris up the rocks to search for a cave. He had been gone for a few minutes when he called for the rest of them to come up. Reluctantly they followed and climbed up to meet him. He was standing inside a small cave.
"This will have to do. Unpack and settle down, it'll be an early start in the morning," The leader ordered and disappeared ino the shadows. The men unrolled their bags and cooked their tea as the wind whistled gently in their ears.
The next morning was frightfully cold. The men had to insulate themselves with two layers and then clamber out into the freezing morning air. No one spoke, but that was becoming quite usual. They picked their way along the ridge and through another clump of heather. It became quite scary at one point as they realised they couldn't tell where the actual cliff edge was. Finally they made it out and the cave was in sight. Making their way carefully the men approached. Chris signalled over his shoulder and everyone raised their weapons and crouched. He pressed his back against the rock and slid along. He heard nothing coming from the inside. With one deep breath, he swung around and leapt into the cave. It was empty.
It took them an hour to scout the area. No one was about. They had found bullet holes and someone had dropped a blind fold. The Nav had picked up foot prints in the mud, about a day old, leading upwards. They followed them for about 100 metres but they disappeared. They guessed that the terrorists were still ascending up towards the tallest ridge. Once up there the game would become tough.
The men had broken into a run. They had found fresh footprints and some bits of heather had been broken nearby. One man suspected that he could see blood on the floor. The climb was getting steep and they were on the dark side of the mountain. Chris looked around and halted. The men behind him obeyed.
"Do you hear that?" He whispered. The men nodded.
"Over there!" Benne cried. They scrambled over and fumbled in the bushes.
"shhhshhhhshhhh... hello?..." The sound seemed to emit. Chris grabbed something hard and pulled it out. It was a radio. On the back of it read "Sebytania".
"Shit. Seb is around here somewhere!" One cried. Chris thought for a moment and opened his hand. There was blood on it.
"No, the terrorists have got one of them! Sebytania! Come in, do you you read me?" Chris cried. There was radio silence.
The men turned on their heels and picked their way across the ledge they were on. A new view appeared and they could see down across the south of the mountain.
"Open up a channel on Sebytania's band!" Chris ordered.
"...Damn must be that mountain..." A voice said.
"We've got them! Sebytania, respond!" Chris cried.

It was a foggy and ice cold morning. They climbed up the hill for a while, and then they noticed there was a small cave. When they were at the entrance, they noticed there was someone lying inside. They took their guns and went slowly forward into the cave. Michael made a hand signal to stop. "Looks likes it's one of the hostages. Dead." The corpse had been hit by several bullets to the chest and to the face. Michael contacted Dave. "This is Gastovski. Can you copy, Dave? We found a shot man here. It looks it was shot about 3-5 hours ago. So the terrorists must be close. Seen anything?" Dave replied: "Actually, yes. I saw someone standing on a cliff about a minute ago. I don't think he noticed anyone, as he walked in after a short time. Dave out." "Roger that. Keep your eyes open and report immediately if you spot any enemies. Gastovski out." They continued climbing the hill. They had not slept last night, so they made up the camp early. Just before going to bed, Michael informed the soldiers: "Okay, boys. This tour has been mostly marching for this long. But tomorrow, i think we will encounter the enemy. We still have no idea where the other teams are going, but we can just hope that they are not killed yet. And be ready to depart any moment. The enemy might find us, and then we are in a hurry."

Michael heard someone saying something to his hand radio. "Everybody wake up! I think CornixPes has opened a channel between us." He took the radio: "This is Michael Gastovski, team Sebytania. Our leader has been captured. We don't know if he is alive. CornixPes, come in! Sebytania out."
"Any luck with Sebytania?" Chris asked.
"No, we've lost them, but I think i've fixed their location. If we continue on the trail we should rendez-vous with them in about a day," The Nav explained as they were walking. Chris nodded and took lead. They came up and onto flat land and once again they smelt the foul smell of death. They scouted the area and found another hostage, and old male, laying in the green grass splattered with blood. His face was frozen with an expression of horror. The worst thing was, was that the blood was still luke-warm, it was a fresh kill.
"All right guys! Search the area now! Go go go!" Chris cried and loaded his M16. He ran as fast as he could scanning the area and using as many senses as he could. He saw clips on the floor from bullets and foot prints everywhere. All of a sudden there was a crack-crack-crack-crack! He spun around to see Benne on the edge of a sharp drop, his weapon was flashing. There was firing coming from somewhere else in the distance. The men rushed to his aid and began to fire over the drop. The mud around the splashe up as bullets struck and bounced.
"Pull back!" Chris cried and the men stopped firing and leapt backwards. He grabbed a grenade and pulled the pin out. Then with a deep breath he randomly threw it over the edge. The explosion came a few seconds later and shook everyone to the ground.
"We're outnumbered, our best chance is to follow them and flank them. Try to get Sebytania patched in!" Chris ordered. He took a peek over the edge. There was a crater but no bodies. The terrorists had scattered.

Twenty Terrorists, armed, scramble quickly and silently down the mountainside. They are headed South, towards the Sebytanians.
They wait silently watching over the camp as they hear radio transmissions going to and from the troops.
"Wait here untill they sleep, then we move" Whispered one of the men, appearing to lead the group. They all had rifles drawn ready to engage the sleeping men.
As the Sebytania troops began to fall asleep, the small torch lights arround the camp began to go out. When only the one light remained, to keep animals away, the group made the final descent into the camp. They remained silent in the tall bushes behind the tents and communicated in sign. After a few minutes of deliberation they charged the camp. Still fairly quiet they seized the radios and maps that lay arround, aswell as a rifle which had been left outside a tent. They rplaced them to the bushes and returned with their rifles drawn.
They quickly opened fire on the camp tents. Piercing holes through the military canvas.
"CornixPes here! Whats the problem, over?"

Once they reached the river, Nicolas quickly ran up to George's front position, whispered a few words, then George gave the signal to halt. Nicolas then pointed off towards some distant mountains.
"I think I heard gunshots over there. A long ways away. Could be trouble."
"Too far for us to get involved. They'll handle it themselves."
"Understood."
Petro, who had begun to search around for signs of human life, squinted off in one direction.
"Sir, look, over there. Former camp site?"
George pulled out his binoculars.
"Good eye, son. Let's go scope that out."
The team quickly jogged over to the spot. Sure enough, there were remains of a fire, logs placed around it, and spots of dead grass where tents probably had been. There was also a tree trunk with gnashes around it, and small spots of blood on the ground. Emanuel took a look at it.
"Sloppy, sloppy. Looks like they might've been torturing some of the hostages here."
"Alright, men, let's do a quick search for about a quarter-mile radius around this area. If we don't find anything, we're going to follow that river towards the area where Nicolas heard the gunshots. Let's move."
The group quickly spread out and began their search.

The team woke up to the terrorist fire, still remaining in the tents. They came out of the tents from the opposite side from the doorway. "Damn, they took my..." John shouted, getting then hit by a bullet. "John, are you ok? John?" Kevin said to him. "He's not dead yet, Mike. We must get hell out of here, we're hardly outnumbered!" Then they started to go behind the tallest grass to the south, when the terrorists were still firing at the tents.
They heard the terrorists had stopped, they hid to the bushes, with weapons in hands. The terrorists went by, but one of them remained just in front of John who was bleeding. When the other terrorists were passed and were far away, John grabbed a twine and slowly crouched towards the terrorist. Then he put the twine to the neck of the terrorist and strangled him. They hid the corpse and John took the weapon. Michael went looking for team CornixPes.

As one man choked he squeeled, directing a hail of fire in his direction from the terrorists. They began to move after the fleeing troops after laying waste to the camp. A terrorist felt blood touching his leg and turned to its direction. There he saw a troops lying wounded on the floor. He grabbed him and bound his hands with reads, taking his weapon and stepping out of the fire fight. Rounds were constantly being thrown into the bushes where the troops were hiding, but nobody could really see...

IC: Michael heard the shooting, and started to run to south. "I just hope the CornixPes team is somewhere here, or we're all doomed" he thinked, running towards the supposed location of CornixPes.
Kevin and John were getting under heavy fire. Suddenly John took the gun he got from the dead terrorist and jumped out of the bushes, firing all around and shouting: "If you want Stan, you gotta take me too! Eat this, assholes!" The terrorists killed him, and he fell to the ground, getting more bullets to his body all the time. Kevin decided to run away when he had this chance.

Michael was still on his journey seaching for the CornixPes team. Then he saw some tents. No one was moving outside. Michael took his weapon ready and walked near the tents. There was a map outside one of the tents. "CornixPes. This must be the camp. I must warn them immediately." Then he looked inside a tent. "Pssst..."
The team awoke to a sharp 'psssst...'. Chris grabbed his M16 immediately and crawled for the tent opening, a face appeared. He recognised it as one of the Sebytania team he had seen at debriefing. He lowered his weapon and crawled outside. There was blood on the mans face and a great deal of sweat. He panted and began to speak.
"Slow down chappy.
You can't strangle one guy without the other 19 noticing really can you?...

Strangle? No, that is a air choke and it will take one to three minutes depending on the person shape, and if the person doing the stangling can crush the wind pipe or not. Regardles the other person will be able to make a racket.
Now, a good blood choke, where the person blacks out in 3 seconds and is unable to speak, yes. Stangle is to stop the air and the person finally blacks out. A blood choke means stopping the blood from flowing to the brain and works really, really well.
So, if you take someone from behind and take their knee out as you lock in the blood choke and take a deep breath yourself to fully force them into the choke yes. You can take someone out in seconds, if no one is looking and then no one else will notice. There will be no sound and no fighting.
And yes it works, I have both done it and had it done to me in my training. (Martial Arts)

As the group came back together from their search, George quickly did a check to make sure everyone was there. Then he asked them,
"Find anything?"
They all replied with the general consensus of "no". He muttered under his breath, then took a look along the river.
"Alright, let's get moving. We'll try to link up with the other groups, see if anything's wrong...maybe we'll find some terrorists."
"If we're lucky."
"Heh, yeah, lucky."
George let the little comments from his more outspoken men subside, then continued.
"Swift and silent. Keep your senses peeled. Make no noise. Above all, move fast. Let's see if we can find anybody within one or two days."
The others nodded, then the team moved off. After a few moments, the former campsite suddenly erupted into a ball of flame. Two of the men dove to the ground, with the others just cringing. John was grinning, holding a remote detonator. George looked back and rolled his eyes when he saw that.
"Dammit, do you gotta do that to every place we go to?"
"Of course."
He shook his head, ordered the men up, and they kept moving.

I heard Kevin and John got under fire, i'm not sure if they survived or not. At least i think i heard John shouting something and getting shot then. The terrorists might be on their..." Michael fell to the ground, dead.
Chris looked at the dead body and then up at a terrorist that stood with an AK-47 in his hands. With natural insticts Chris pulled the trigger of his MP5 and rained bullets in the terrorists direction. However, the man with the AK leapt aside and fired back. Bullets ripped through canvas and hit pots and pans. Chris rolled from the tent and jumped at the terrorist, landing the butt of his MP5 in the chest. The man flew backwards and hit a rock, striking back and cutting Chris's lip open. The man then kneed the MP5 out of the captain's hands.
"Adios!" He cried, laughing psychotically.
"No!" A voice cried. Bullets splashed the rock on the ledge into the air. Both Chris and the terrorist fell to the ground. One of the team members dived at the terrorist that was down but was kicked away. Chris grabbed hold of the terrorist by the neck and pushed him over the sharp drop. The man siezed him by the hand, nearly dragging him down too.
"Team! The terrorists are nearby! Find them and kill them!" The captian ordered and then fell over the edge of the mountain with the terrorist.

Kevin was lying in the bushes. The terrorists had already left, so he decided to try searching for Michael. He started running to the south where Michael had gone. Suddenly, he saw something moving in the forest. "Who's there? Show yourself or I fire!" He shouted. Someone came out of the bushes. He saw it was a CornixPes soldier. "Sir, more gunshots! Over on that mountain!"
George looked where Nicolas pointed to.
"Thought I heard something. I reckon they're on the other side...well, let's see if they need any help. Should take a good few hours...be careful, troops. Methinks terrorists are gonna be everywhere."
Chris was looking around frantically. He was dazed, confused and had lost his Mp5. He looked up to see a soldier. He instantly held his hands up.
"Don't... don't shoot!" He cried. The man lowered his weapon.
"Have you seen the other Sebytanian, sgt. Michael Gastovski? I think he went this way, looking for you. I and John got attacked, and John was killed. I managed to retreat. Have you seen Michael?" The man said, worried. Chris's mind suddenly filled with the horrible look on Michael's face when a bullet slammed through his spine. He gulped.
"He's dead," He said. The Sebytanian soldier bowed his head in anger. There was a rustle in the bushes, Chris looked around, wiping the blood, sweat and dirt from his face. The bleeding head of the terrorist that killed Michael popped up from the heather, the look on his face could only be described as "suicidal anger".
He leapt at Chris and landed on him, burying him in the heather. Chris upper cutted his fist and hit the man in the chin. He then kneed him in the stomach. Rolling off the terrorist began to cough violently and threw up. Chris took his opportunity and kicked the man in the face. Blood exploded from the terrorist's lip and he rolled over once more. Chris scrambled to his feet and pulled a branch from his sleeve that had lodged itself there. He turned to the Sebytanian soldier that advanced towards the figure on the floor, his finger on the trigger. All of a sudden the terrorist sprang up.
There was something shining in his hand. The Sebytanian soldier stood there, unable to do anything in the quick few moments that the terrorist launched himself. The glittering thing came into focus as a knife and slashed at Chris. The impact took him by surprise. He saw everything before him, melting away. Then he collapsed into the soft bed of heather. He was alive... he thought.
Meanwhile...
The rest of the team were running down a short hill. Everything they had been working up to was about to come to reality. Close combat with the terrorists. They could see them, shadows in the rocks and heather.
The terrorists seemed to be smarter than the appeared. One of them heard the oncoming footsteps and fired. A bullet made its way past the ducking and diving team and struck Alex Anderson in the shoulder. He screamed and took a few steps backwards. He dropped his weapons and tried to supress the overwhelming pain in his shoulder and down the left arm. That wasn't the worst of it. His balance suddenly gave way and he toppled backwards, fell about 400 feet and was impaled on a sharp rock.
The team had no time for sorrow. More bullets shot at them and bounced from rock to to rock. The weeds around the area were dug up by the rain of bullets and shrapnel. The team crouched and fired back with hatred.

The terrorists AK47's fired round after round into the CornixPes ranks. They had allready taken three casualties and two men were ready with huge packs of explosives strapped to them. The pair madea silent sprint downt the hillside into some really heavy cover, un tamed weeds and heather covered them easilly as they appraoched the CornixPes troops. They leapt forward, out of the cover and each landed amidst the ranks, slamming their thumbs onto the small detonator sending flames erupting into the sky. The grass caught fire and flames quickly spread arround the area as the reamaing terrorists made a final sweep of the area, firing more and more just spraying the rough area where the CornixPes men had been standing. Bullets ricoched off rocks and sprang accross the battlefield. The firing had stopped and the terrorists regrouped atop the mountain.

On the other side of the battlefield, Petro, from his rock-protected position on the overhang, opened up with his M-60.

Stan was sitting in the cave, bound. The terrorists had somehow noticed that he was the team leader and knew much. But they hadn't got any information from Stan yet. Kevin ran to Chris. "Are you ok? Chris, speak to me!"
Chris coughed and winced.
"I'm... I'm ok. It's a flesh wound," Chris Mumbled but he couldn't get up. There were gun shots in the distance and cries. Kevin bent down and dressed Chris's wound for him.

CornixPes team scampered through the rocks and heather. Blood and sweat mixed on their faces as they endured rounds and rounds of fire from the fleeing terrorists. Fire began to spead and thick black smoke clouded their vision.
"Get down!" A grenade whoosed over their heads and exploded behind them, taking out a chunk of rock. One of the team members rolled and took a pot shot from the open. The bullet hit its mark. He rolled back in, but there was nothing more they could do, they were just sitting ducks, pinned down.

George saw the ball of fire erupt just a bit too close to Emanuel and John's position. Shit!, he thought. He quickly radioed to them.
"John! Emanuel! Come in!"
It took a while before there was a reply, and with every passing moment he got more worried. Suddenly, there was coughing over the radio and a wheezing voice.
"Holy shit, that was bad. Looks like we shouldn't be taking any more prisoners, sir."
"John! Are you ok?"
"Eh, I'm a bit winded, bruised, and cut, but otherwise I'm ok. Emanuel though...well, he's now a pile of blood and gore just a few feet away from me."
"Fuck! Can you make it back here? Take any supplies that you can. I have a feeling we'll need them. It looks like the terrorists are starting to retreat."
"Yeah, sure. Give me a sec."
Right then, waves of fire were flowing at Nicolas's and Petro's positions. Nick rolled behind a rock as it started, trying to hide. He had been hit in the arm, so he was trying to carefully tend to that. Petro had been hit twice in the chest. His helmet had saved him from a sure headshot, and his flak jacket had absorbed most of the impact from the first shot, but he wasn't in any sort of good condition. As the terrorists began to leave, and John came jogging over carrying blood-coated supplies, George called out to Nicolas.
"Go check on Petro. If he's been hit, help him. We're going to divvy up the supplies, and we'll be over in a minute."
"Affirmative."
George waited until he radioed back in.
"Pretty bad, sir. God a nasty wound in his left lung, which I'm attending to now, and it looks like another shot in the vicinity of his kidney. Here, he wants to say something."
"Think I'm gonna have to sit this one out, sir. *cough* Hope that's not a problem."
"'Course not. Nick, you stay with him, keep him alive. Let me have your sniper rifle. We're gonna keep going."
"Alright. Come over and get it whenever you need to."
After George and John got themselves ready, they went over to Nicolas and took his PSG-1. As they went after the terrorists, they heard some heavy gunfire nearby.
"How much you wanna bet that's them? We can probably hook up with some friendlies now. Stay low...let's hope."
