In the interests of game realism i think it would be a grand ole idea if all nations had a thread in which they posted their anual budget and military stuff like that so there are no real surprises in an rp. For an example of this check out my thread that i started. All nation who want to do this should start up their own threads in the nation states forum and hopefully if there are enough one of the mods will sticky a thread that has all the country's links to their "news threads"
