What is the commonly accepted real-life duration of a year in the NationStates world?

Flex-time is the rule. A year may be 1 RL day for research projects.. A day may last 6 RL weeks for an RP. It all depends on the thread. However, most players will allow at most 1 NS year per RL day, maximum.

Yeah, 1 RL day to 1 NS year is the rule of thumb.

I wouldn't say so. That would mean our president is more than 375 years old. So...

Audioslavia has been around for one RL year as of yesterday, but its been around since 2001 in my rp's, when the Republic Of The Machine annexed part of Soundgardia...

edit: just to add, in the world cup threads, one month is four years :)
