Dodekistan to start Special Operations Training center
Due to a shift from symettrical to asymetrical warfare, the Dodekistan Executive Board has voted 18-2 to build the Dodekistan Land Warfare Center. This center will train troops in the latest CQB tactics, psychological operations, infiltration and guerilla warfare, hand to hand combat, anti-extremist techniques, airborne and seaborne infiltration, NBC environment survivability, intelligence (both physical and electronic) gathering and analysis and escape and evasion tactics. Officers will also be schooled in Advanced Warfare Strategy.
Those graduating the Center will belong to the Black Mamba Unit, and will be the elite unit in the Dodekistan Army. Each class will be put through a 12 month training sequence, and classes will be stagered one month apart, with a maximum throughput of 5 classes at one time (each class is 200 men). Wash out rate is predicted at 80%.

The Black Mamba's have been testing and reviewing different firearms for use in their unit. Because of their elite nature of their combat, they need weaponry that is more high performance than that of normal soldiers.
For longer ranged, outdoor operations, they have chosesn a heavily modified M-4 Carbine.

For close quarters missions, the Black Mamba's have selected the silenced FN-P90 as the standard issue assault weapon.

They dictate however that the caliber be increased from 9mm to 10mm.
For the Special Operations Handgun, they have decided on a heavily modified Colt 1911 clone known as the Prokiller Mark II. This can be fitted with a silencer, and is in 10mm.

Snipers are being outfitted with Tactical Operations Tango-51 rifles, chambered in .308.

Glueon Arms Mfg has recieved the contract to produce these firearms for the Black Mambas.
The Black Mambas have also requested a division that is tasked with special operations logistics and infiltration. This division will have fast moving cababilities, and will be a joint effort between the Army and the Air Force. It will consist of a flight of MH-53 Pave Low III and AH-6 Little Bird gunships. These will be assigned Air Force pilots.
There will also be ground rapid infiltration capabilities. This will be provided by the Light Strike Vehicle, LSV. The operatives themselves will trained to use these vehicles.
