To long have the fundamentalists tired the world with their conservationist nonsense. Illogical and, ironically, inhumane in some instances religion is an utterly outdated and outmoded concept. The persecutions of homosexuals and the unending "moral" complaints are insane. It must cease. Not that force is the answer, neither is action of any sort, eventually religion will become extinct, but we do need to help by arguing against the barbaric and uneducated ways of religion.

The Resurrected Lands of Nanakaland is a huge, devout nation, renowned for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate population of 957 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

I was originally founded in March, but got delted due to inactivity. A mod then later brought me back. My population was not reset, but my creation date and post count was.

I am tired of this speach.

Religion is fine to study as a history of ancient cultures, but, as a modern day practice, its fine as long as you don't force it on others who simply don't believe. Its fine as long as its kept out of our institutions and kept to be strictly a spiritual journey more than anything else; something for the individual person instead of for everyone.

Religion is fine to study as a history of ancient cultures, but, as a modern day practice, its fine as long as you don't force it on others who simply don't believe. Its fine as long as its kept out of our institutions and kept to be strictly a spiritual journey more than anything else; something for the individual person instead of for everyone.Nah, i don't think so. No religion forces anything on anyone... that is, no religion outside of Belem and Roania... but MANY religions require communities and organization and churches and stuff...

Haaregradia has long let the foolishness of religion leave the nation. Religious people of all faiths form less then 5% of our population.

I am entitled to help defend a small nation that has similar goals to my own country, if I see the need for it.

His Most Honored Lord, Chairman of the PrattCo Conglomerate Board of Directors, President Heinrid Abadas and the Federal Government of Santa Barbara, in cooperation with the PrattCo Conglomerate, issues the following international statement.

"It is a shame to see that even now in these more modern times, the Catholic people are blamed and persecuted throughout the universe. It is an equal shame to see that there are foolish atheist swine apparently governing small countries. Thus, the Federal Government shall now offer asylum to foreign Catholics from Glinor and other ineptly-run heathen states, giving them a chance for bonded employment on a Federal Demesne, and the freedom to practice the One True Religion.

"Also, we make the suggestion that Glinor retract it's comments and seriously tone-down it's foreign policy on this matter, or face possible severe action taken by the Conglomerate ITDO in defense of our faith and God-given rights."

Well, then, so am I, I guess.

I can donate my 3 billion+ people to the cause of Raysia and Nanakaland.

I feel that religion should still have the freedom to be practiced. However, some of it's teachings could very well be considered "wrong". However, the fact remains that much of society today was built off of religion.

I feel that a stronger empasis should be put on peoples rights, that includes womens rights which some religions go agaisnt. That a stronger emphasis be put on family, friends, and life. Loyalty, education, and self betterment are all essential parts of things that are far too small or pressed in current society. Bettering yourself through education, events, and physically challenging crucibles. Thats how I feel at least.

My aren't arragent and bias, Glinor. Relgion is not going to die out no matter what anyone does or does not do.

As far as I am aware, there has been no 'ethnic cleansing' in Glinor, so any military moves would be seen as simply an unprovoked attack. Are you or any other nation rash and reckless enough to attempt to destroy a nation that had not in fact attacked anyone?

First of all, you may address me as Lord President Abadas. You see, I am actually just one individual, and not the entire nation of Santa Barbara.

Here is the evidence that at least one nation supports the destruction of Glinor, or is at least threatening to; Lord President Abadas.

However, there has been no evidence, as yet, of any form of religious persecution/violence within Glinor's borders. Perhaps I was slightly ambiguous with my earlier statement about ethnic cleansing. On the other hand, the Jews in real life determine themselves as both a race as well as a religion; and so ethnicity also determines religion.

OOC: I think I'm ignoring Nanakaland since I've seen some OOC/IC inability to decide which is which from them. Sooo, Abadas didn't see that one because in my universe, it didn't happen.

I agree that religion is a bad idea that causes pain and suffering. Wars too. But I won't start enforcing my ways on other nations. If they want to be inhibited by religion, let them.

Religion is like a virus in many ways. It spreads from one to another, continuously multiplying. But like a virus, people begin to grow immunities. This may take hundreds or thousands of years to occur. Religions tend to only last a few thousand years before dying out anyways.

I sincerely apologize if I have offended or accidentally threatened anyone. The goal I had in mind was to seek out other atheist nations, not to suggest in any way that I attack anyone. If you are one of the many religious peoples that I have offended I am sorry. I will not however tolerate the accusations of ethnic and/or religious cleansing aimed at Glinor! No such thing has ever occured and will never, Glinor's government is atheist, but the people are allowed to practice any religion they choose. That was not supposed to be posted so many freaking times.

I shall forever stand in defense of the concept of religion. The writer of this post has stereotyped and generalized, when in fact, religion, with faith and proper morals, is a wonderful thing that helps people be BETTER people.

Look. I never said I wanted war. All I said is that if he spreads propaganda of evolution and athiesm on my nation, I wouldn't hesitate to attack.

I got the death of most religion pegged by 2100, but that's just me. (considering that the Atheist/nonreligous % of people in the US has doubled in 20 years to ~30%)
