Angelica Margot Venette walked the dark and lonely corridors of the Grand Sepha Palace with a sense of the deep past that lay within this place, so full of memory... and death. Before the rise of the first Veiled Blood-Queen (who still reigned even after a 1000 years) who used the name Rose the old Czars ruled about half the lands now under the rule of Gehenna Viros (in the Ancient Times the nation was called Mosku). Rose had ruled for eighty years before her "death" and the next Veiled Blood-Queen took the throne.
In reality for over a thousand years the nation had been ruled by the same person, a Vampyer (different from a regular Vampier as you will soon see), of incredible powers, she had held the seat of power for over a thousand years in her Empire and there was no reason to see why that should change.
As Angelica glanced at the familar painting called Within Fire All Things Are Made Pure a rather gastly and very detailed painting of people buring in a giant inferno, a glance at the name of the painter would show that it was "Veiled Blood-Queen Ellena" ("The woman whom I will be seeing now" Angelica thought). Angelica then didn't bother to look as she tapped the familar jewel on the gaudy gold and diamond encrusted frame of the painting, then Angelica pushed on the wall and the secret door opened.
Angelica lit her flashlight and walked down the passage, the door closing behind her. It only took her a familar twenty minutes of wandering in order to reach bowels of the Palace, the secret chambers of the Veiled One (as Commoners call her). Angelica tapped on the door and heard the voice on the other end say, "Come in." Angelica entered the familar chamber, filled with a massive hoard of treasure, collected over the thousand years of rule over the Empire, and in the center of this treasure hoard and rich appointments (not to mention the massive collection of bones mixed with the treasure) was a woman sitting on a giant Sarcoqhagus of the finest black marble and black onyx, carved on it were hieroglyphs in a form that no one on earth could translate, what they said was even more disturbing than the images on the sarcoqhagus, images of very detailed nude people being tortured by demons.
The woman was in so many black veils that no one could see what she looked like underneath all that black cloth, the only thing that was visible were her eyes, so powerful and so full of mystery they were that not even Angelica could discern what their color was. "Greetings O Veiled One," Angelica began but the Veiled Blood-Queen cut her off, "Don't bother with the moronic titles in private Angelica," the Queen spoke in her alluring voice, a voice that spoke of incredible levels of pleasure and death, so much so that it made the listener feel that death was pleasure and life was pain beyond all enduring, "Have you found a man that I will like for tonight?" Angelica answered, "Yes." The Veiled Blood-Queen then said, "Good, I do not feel like playing tonight, instead I will just have him brought here in chains, I want this one to last for a good while."
Angelica bowed and knew that the conversation was over, she left to go to the secret holding cells in the west wing of the palace, the place where the men for the Blood-Queen were kept.
