OOC: I have pondered this storyline for a while now, what would happen if one of the divine was forced to interact with mortals, especially if she was not allowed any use of her abilities? She does have a task she must perform... and I hope that some of you would like to join her...If you have any questions, feel free to TM me.. Thanks!

IC:
Night fell quickly in these lands and the moons shone bright and full. A shaft of silver light hit the stone ruins and illuminated them briefly while a figure emerged. She looked around confused for a moment, her mind still reeling from the transfiguration. She was mortal now, for good or for ill was yet to be seen. An unkept stone path led from the ruins through the deserted shrine. She walked slowly, acclimating herself to the unfamiliar sights and sounds that bombarded her senses.

What has happened here? Why this place?

She continued on the path, seeing that lights seemed to flare in the distance.

I should have never taken that bet..

Her slender form began its journey to join what she had only seen from a distance...humanity....

A young girl sat at the hearth trying to read by firelight. Her friends thought her crazy for wanting to know all the old stories in the books that seemed to be abandoned at the old church. There was so much in the musty leatherbound tomes. Stories of war, romance, chance, great escapes. It all just facinated her. She heard her mother calling to her,"Jess, time to put that down and go to bed. We have much to do in the morning."

"Yes Mother..." Jess sighed and closed the heavy book, her dark hair tumbling down her shoulders as she looked at it once more wondering if she could get away with five more minutes..

"Now Jess, no dawdling.."

She groaned and her dark eyes pleaded with her mother for just a little more time, but there was no quarter given in that gaze and with a heavy sigh she acended the stairs to her bedroom.
As she lay there in her cot, the words of the book tumbled about in her mind, making her think of faraway places and extrordinary things... but she knew it was unlikely the daughter of a farmer would ever experience such wonders.Yet within those pages she could travel anywhere, everywhere... and with a sweet smile she fell fast asleep...
