Another sporting tournament, this is an invitation to all nations to join the first NationStates Handball Championships. Handball is a kind of European version of basketball, with football-like (soccer-like) goals at each end of the arena. It is played indoors, with seven players on each team.

Edit: After Kaze Progressa's suggestion, the tournament will be changed to eight teams. I want to get off the ground quickly, and that's probably the best way. The tournament may be expanded for a second instalment.

Therefore, the tournament will be organised very simply - two groups of four teams, the top two in each group proceed to the semi-finals. To have some more games, the final will be a best of three, even though this is not how IRL handball is organised.

This doesn't seem to have gone well, you're right. Considering basketball didn't get very far, and neither did rugby (after several attempts), this should come as no surprise, sadly.

I think it might be due to the fact that they had enough sign-ups, but didn't want to complete it. There was RP and stuff (at least some). This will go through to the end, and I will set dates for when the games will be played, as soon as there are enough sign-ups.

At least there are three nations now.

Heh, I see what the censoring program thought was going on. Ridiculous... like you'd never want to research accents (Cockney), badminton (shuttlecock), or dogs (cocker spaniels.) I would think they could have smarter software than that. Anyway, will do.
