OOC: This is an OOC post: my reasoning, I have some of the largest economic sectors* in the world, so in game terms at least, I already must engage in lots of international trade in NS.

But RP wise, I don't. So this is a basic way for me to get a list of nations that I either legally trade with, export, import or both. I'm doing this to find out just who those nations I trade with are.

I don't have a list of general products (yet), and this isn't strictly military trade (we sell older military hardware, though). But this is not a RP of a specific company selling specific things (i.e, a "Storefront"), it is just whether your country and/or corporations do business of some kind with the PrattCo Conglomerate, the Federal Government, or one of gazillions of subcorps.

Please post here what your basic trade relationship with Santa Barbara is. (IE, you export some raw material, and you import PCC machine parts or something) It will later be used for my (and hopefully yours :) ) factbook.

(If you have some specific RP of trade you want to do that is fine as well, otherwise this is mostly background stuff that happens more or less automatically.)

As a rough guide, figure that I have massive (nearish future) industries producing lots of things out of places like MegaFactories (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=98666), manufactured goods, industrial products, refined and raw resources, consumer products, services like Disaster Relief, Incorporated, (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=83705) agriculture, retail, etc.

*Some recent world UN rankings found Santa Barbara at 51st largest cheese exports, 530th largest agricultural sector, 29th largest mining sector, 39th largest woodchipping sector, 147th largest trout fishing sector, 40th largest furniture restoration, 106th largest information technology sectors, 42nd largest arms manufacturing, and of course, 134th largest basketweaving sector :lol:

Hleelzuuyar has gold (most of which is processed into basic jewelry) and one of the world's most advanced portable machinery industries. Since much of Hleelzuuyar's trade is with the politically unstable Central States, they specialize in machinery constructed so that it can be easily taken apart, moved, and reassembled. Hleelzuuyar needs light metals, grain, and high-technology products - R&D expenditure is pitiful, so Hleelzuuyar wants to buy technology. It is also a good market for high-quality machine parts and the most advanced machinery.

Suprisingly, all trade and political contact was cut with the PCC for an unkown reason back in Late August. Meaning I just can't remember the reason, if any.

If I don't already, I will be soon. Paragon Systems sells military-grade computer hardware, Epitome Computers sells PCs and civllian supercomps, SilverComm sells high-quality communications equipment of all kinds (video, audio, wireless, wired, military, civillian...), Waterfall 3D Video Systems sells what it sounds like it does, and.... dang. I can never remember the last one... I'll find it eventually.

In summary Santa Barbara exports some finished goods to Sunset, while we mostly export information in the form of software, books, movies, etc to Santa Barbara. Population flow is likely from Santa Barbara to Sunset, as we appeal to people desiring political freedom and a lack of government corruption.

Evil Overlord Enterprises exports the following products/raw materials:

Coal, Aluminum, Seafood, Rice, High-end electronics, Vacuum-refined ores (primarily aluminum, nickel, and iron), Specialty ceramic castings, Licensed military munitions, Cargo ships, Pharmaceuticals.

EOE imports the following products/raw materials:

Textiles, Lumber, Meat, Dairy Products

If your country supplies the required materials/products or requires EOE assets, then trade takes place between Evil Overlord Enterprises and Santa Barbara. EOE trades with almost everybody.

We've had our hand in the Diamond Black Market for a while. None of that CZ fake stuff, I'm talkin the real deal.

We don't import much...so I guess whether or not you import from me is up to you

We have a large agricultural center located in our northern provinces of The Amishlands and since their land has always been plentiful we would like to sell some of our excess produce(tobacco[Illegal here but it is grown for export], corn, wheat, soybeans). We would be interested in importing automobiles as long as they are priced reasonably, are reliable and are durable.
