The background: The Than are a buglike race, slightly shorter than Humans in average height and fiercely loyal. The Than race lived in peace for millennia in the Than system on the fourth and sixth planets before willingly joining the then Commonwealth of Xanthal. The Than continued to be allies of Xanthal for hundreds of years. However, as time went on the citizens of Than VI began to grow away from Xanthal as a society while Than IV’s citizens continued to be loyal to what was now the Republic of Xanthal. Eventually this tension came to a head and Than VI seceded from the Republic, declaring war on Than IV. The Republic had no choice; it had to protect its citizens. Than VI was crushed by the Xanthalian Armada and the Xanthalian Military, occupied by the Republic while a new government was built there. Just as it looked like the Republic would finally be able to grant Than VI independence again the Xanthalian Military rebelled, killing the local government officials and assuming control of the planet. Xanthal used its Armada to defeat them, but Than VI had had enough of Xanthal and its loyalist brethren. The Republic withdrew from the Than system, taking almost the entire population of Than IV with them as Than VI’s military moved in to claim the Than system in it's entirety.

The current situation: Today, the refugees from Than IV reside in the Xanthalian capital system of Aellis on the planet Aellis VI. The Than system is under the totalitarian control of Than VI's leader his royal majesty Prince Firewrath and is known as the Principality of the Than. The Socialist Republic of Xanthal wants the Than system back for the sake of the Xanthalian Than, so that they may move back to their native world and continue to be residents of the Republic. The Principality of the Than wants total control of the Than system and the refugees forced to return to the Than system under the Principality’s control. They want nothing to do with the Republic, but now with the Principality and the Republic on the brink of war both sides have agreed to make one last attempt to negotiate a settlement and create peace between the two former allies on the condition that a willing impartial mediator can be found to host the talks.

though the jedi are not offended you have mortally offended the sith, i am afriad that no team we would send would be unbiased, oh and the sith are giving thought to attacking any than they see, but they are impulsive

Then the Sith can be prepared to die. The Than system is very well defended, we can easily deal with such threats. As for your team, if they cannot be impartial then they are useless. We will not accept mediation from The Force Academy. Another mediator must be found.

Please. We have no ties to the Crimmond government and their bias. We have nonaggression understanding between all nations we meet and only have opinions about pirates(all negitive opinions). I myself have had no contact with anyone from Xanthal, ever.

Good. Then we agree. Send your ship to sector 129 (halfway between Aellis and Than). We will have a light unarmed transport waiting for you.

We will send a light unarmed transport as well. Our delegation will consist of the chair of the Xanthalian Senate, the Council Armada and Military representative, and a standard diplomatic entourage.

I will attend the negotiations personally, with guards and a diplomatic escort.

The Thanic vessel arrives in sector 129 and waits for the arrival of it's counterpart.

The Xanthalian vessel arrives in the sector and moves to face the Thanic vessel at a distance of several hundred kilometers. It's obvious that the place for the neutral party's ship is directly between the two opposing transports.

OOC: Sorry, forgot about this. Also, I'm leaveing NS on Monday(taking a trip), so just continue without me if this drags out and just try not to blow the ship up. ;)

IC: The CSS Discord jumps into the sector with three other ships.

The Discord is a Lion Class Dreadnaught, just under 1/4 the size of a Star Destroyer. It is the largest class of ship in the Crimmond fleets and this one is the only one in the rogue fleet. The other ships are two heavy cruisers and a heavy battle cruiser. Obviously they intend to enforce the truce with force, if needed, as well as provide defense from anyone wishing to take advantae of the situation.

The Discord slides under the two ships awaiting it's arrival, dwarving them both, while the escorts begin to spread out and take defensive positions.

A message is sent to both sides. "Shall we begin?" As they recieve it, two docking ports light up on the Discord's upper hull.
