Observers Needed:

The Nation of Perfect China is going to hold elections. The first free elections in some time. We do fear that the elections will not be fair and regular. Some parties have already been excluded from the elections. Therefore we ask all pro-democratic nations to put pressure on perfect china to allow observers to the elections and to allow all parties to take part in the elections.

What does the job entail? Do we have to send over supervisors, or are we just to put pressure on Perfect China to run a fair election?

Both! First we have to put pressure on PC to allow international Observers, and then we have to send them over. Be Prepared to send some guards with the observers, for the Junta is not very likely to step down easy.

Excellet. Keep us informed.

We'll do that. But we still need more nations willing to help.

Greetings,

The Democratic Republic of Catatopia supports free democratic elections and would be pleased to offer services to any nations needing assistance on this front.

If you could offer more information on your needs, I will bring it up at the next party forum.

I find it intresting that plan to violate our neighbor's (I'm assuming Perfect China is located where RL China is, considering I'm where RL Japan is) soverighty in their elections. It is not the place of any nation to tell them how they sould run their elections.

while we consider democracy to be functionally rule by the ignorant and the incompontent. and while we ourselves do not practice democracy at the state level. we do recognize the fact that the forms must be followed, otherwise chaos will follow.

if perfect china agrees to observers of the elections we are willing to send a team.

How can I not help my new ally, of course I will send in some observers... only, do you think they'll mind if I give them escort to make sure no harm comes to them... if you are worried about the fairness of such a trial then surely there is a security issue involved and I would prefer that my inspectors don't get captured... I would hate to have to repeat the Al Anbar situation.

The Constitutional Monarchy of Royal New Monmouth would offer the services of our armed forces to act as impartial observers during this delicate and critical process. However, Her Majesty understands that while free and open parliamentary elections are constitutionally guaranteed to occur on a regular basis within our nation, her status as reigning sovereign may not be commensurate with others' definitions of "democracy".

Royal New Monmouth seeks to establish a trusted presence on the international scene, but we understand that our own political system may preclude our involvement on this occasion. Her Majesty looks forward to your response in this matter.

Since PC is a monarchy they will probably be very happy to have you on the observing staff. Pleas click on the link on top of the thread and offer your help on the post which will open then.

The more nations are takeing part in the observing the less irregularities we will have.

Intresting...you find their way oppressive, so you choose to opress their soverignty...quite intresting, I doubt I'll ever be able to fully understand the mind of the Westerners.

Summary of the recent events in PC.

The government in PC collapsed after the late dictator died. Her daughter stepped into office and claimed that there will be elections. Currently the nation is ruled by a junta of generals and there are rebellions in several provinces. The 'princess' (in my opinion a good name for a dog) as the new dictator prefers to be called, has outlawed the political wing of these rebels.

First they had planed to re-establish absolutism but international pressure made them change their mind on that issue. Now they will hold a referendum whether the people of PC want the monarchy to be re-established or not.

To make sure that the junta will retire from office and that the anti-royalist parties have the same chances in the elections international observers are needed. Until now the junta has not invited them to PC, we therefore ask all nations not to recognize the new PC government.

The True Summary of Events in Perfect China:

The Government was disbaned after the death of Empress Mao Nah Tan, the late daughter of the Chairman Mao Tse-Tung, the adopted daughter of Mao Nah Tan, Mao Lin-Pin announced the end of Empress Mao Nah Tan's Imperial Communist Party and the disban of the Communist System and the Eternal ban of the Communist Party in Perfect China. Then Mao Lin-Pin announced elections for a new Government in three months time with a new Constitution and announced until the election the nation was in a State of Emergency and under Marshall Law and declared herself Acting President.

Then the government of Crosshill demanded that Perfect China speed up it's timetable and tried to force Mao Lin-Pin to restore the Imperial Communist System in Perfect China. Lin-Pin agreed only to a speeding up of the nations timetable but as long as she holds influence in any arena would Perfect China ever be Communist again. Now as the new Political Parties form without the threat of Communism and Lin-Pin announced that she would not run for election but would try to keep some form of the Imperial Family intact in the new system if possible. Now elections loom and soon Perfect China will close a chapter in it's history and will begin a new one.
