Drakonian Imperium Slaughters Al Anbar Civilians!

11-12-2003, 01:55
Foreign Affairs Ministry Statement

At approximately 5:40 AM AST time, the devil helicopters of the Drakonian Imperium launched missiles on a university compound in the city of Idlib in the governorate of Syria. The building was being used as a safe zone during air raids. Since the beginning of the imperialistic colonialist war on Al Anbar, citizens have been told to report to local schools for protection. These are pure civilian buildings, and should not be bombed.

The Drakonians knew this, so did their allies, the Tersanctans. Yet, they proceeded to attack the university compound in Idlib. In just minutes, approximately 13,500 civilians were killed. Civilians attempting to flee the horrid attack on the university were simply gunned down by the devil helicopters. Not only was the university itself attacked, the whole block of houses across the street from the university were levelled.

The wounded exceed 5,100.

We have a video of their criminal acts upon the people of Al Anbar.

TV is turned on. Video from mid-way through the attack is shown. Women and children, wounded and non-wounded, running from the building are, indeed, being gunned down. Drakonian soldiers land and secure the area. Video cuts out.

We demand that the world hold the Drakonians responsible for their criminal assault on Al Anbar. Killing 13,500 civilians needs an immediate response from the world.

We must prevent further genocide of the people of Al Anbar. We request international support. Do not let innocent civilians be gunned down in cold blood again. Whether you hold the current, elected government of Al Anbar in favourable light or not, you must assist us in defeating this enemy who is cold blooded and has just proven it in their assault on a known civilian target being used for a safe house for civilians.

Though Isla de Penguinata has long been an ally of the Imperium, this sudden turn of events worries us deeply. We wish to ask the Drakonians to give an explanation for such an atrocious event, and offer our condolences to those of Al Anbar who have suffered from this attack.

The Penguinatan government is worried, and hopes that this was merely a terrible accident, in which the Drakonians will not be on our bad side.

While the Al Anbar people and government thank you for your kind words, those words will not help the families of those dead or those that have lost legs, arms, etc. We demand swift action.

Confession can (and in this should be if true) be the first step towards repayment and healing for your people.

Al Anbar, your demands for swift action are founded, but we must think fairly. Our government needs word from Drakonia before further pursuing this act.

If Drakonia admits that it was a terrible accident, as we suspect, then no action will be taken, though we will of course urge both sides to achieve peace to prevent this action from happening again.
