OOC:The subject line is to short so this is a SEMI-OPEN RP! Got it it will take place after the wedding of Kelly and Alexander to save the damn time problem of the two brothers being here and there. Also I would like no mass invading armies please and no spys knowing all the info of what is going on because even the highest ranks in the entire Phalanix and New Phalanix area have no clue at all so no knowing what it is unless you ask me with what you guess.

In the deep heart of the remains of the once standing city of Nightfire a massive effert to begen work on mapping the area for a new city had begun. Dig crews were busy placing new pipes and power grid ports when one of the crew suddenly came across a large cavern under his feet and sonar equipment. "Hey guys het over here I found something!" he shouted to his fellow diggers with the proper equipment. After several minnutes of digging and rigging up a make-shift elevator a small group began ridding down to the cavern. "Hey I got a bad feeling about this. Like we are messing with the past," one of them said as he began to pass out the flashlights. "Just shut up and start passing out the side arms just incase," another said as he pulled out his empty old M5D pistol and took a clip. After the ammo was passed out and the rickety elivator reached the bottem the team climbed off and looked around. "Oh my god this dos not look like a place we should be," the same one who wanred them said. "Just shut up and get back to hte surface and get some spotlights and some backup. Hell get the military!" one of them said as he looked around. Within the cavern was massive computers and cryo-tubes even what looked like a cloning vat. Suddenly it all started up once again (Well except the Cryo-tubes for the reason of in use.)

OOC:Ok if you have any close ties with the Phalanix Maxwell family ie:Kenja and Joshua or Kelly and Alexander you are to join in if you want to no questions asked or being turned away.

OOC:Ok this might turn out to be a mass shock thread for the Maxwell characters and the people tied into the family (in love, married ect.) So people come on in.

OOC:Hell no. Time to get this thing going after some Neverwinter Nights on my updated comp!

During this shocking find General Maxwell (Josh) was currently "on leave" up at Paladin point about 30 miles from the remains of Nightfire.

IC:

"On leave", as they put it...put not alone. Definately not alone. A woman with crystal blue eyes and tan skin looked out the window with a sigh. Winter had always been her favorite time of the year, but as far as she concerned, being cold was a major downside. She shivered slightly, even at the thought. She smiled slightly, as she heard someone behind her. "You take an aweful long time in waking up, general."

"Just recovering from the virus," Joshua says with a smile as he sighed and remembered how badly Phoenix had reacted to some sort of super dose. "Well atleast this part of Phalanix wasn't nuked."

"Well," she said turning around with a soft smile upon her face. "I didn't mind playing nurse for a few days. You made quite a recovery. Though I still don't know if I can let you out of quarentine just yet." she laughed slightly, and he caught the familiar glimmer in her eyes.

Joshua smiled when suddenly his pager began to go off in the annoying tone it always went off in. "Damn it this was suposed to be a four week vaction not a damn three week one," Joshua says as he walks over to his pager and grabs hit. He groans slightly after the side effects from the virus had on him (wings) and the bandages around his chest were diging into him (Plasma grenade blast burns.) He quickly hit the reply button and the small screan came online and he saw the face of his old friend who had saved him once befor. "Sorry for the interuption sir but we found something in the Nightfire blast zone. And well it might be best if you see it," his old friend Adam* said as he motioned towards a massive hole.
"Why you should have it covered," Joshua responds with a puzzled tone.
"Well the words on the screans in the hole read the entire Maxwell family name."
After that sentence Joshua's face went dead white and he nearly droped the pager.

Kenja looked at Joshua and sighed heavily, looking at him. "Have to go again?" she asked, slightly disappointed. "Well, I'm coming with..." she replied with a smile. "Never did get to pay you back for saving my life...we have to be even, remember?" she said with a wink.

"Yes that is true but not right now. You ever heard the stories and legends around Adam Maxwell?" Joshua asks as a trickle of sweat drips down his face as the color returns

"Have you ever heard the stories and ledgends around Rave Shentavo?" She countered with a laugh. "I haven't...what do you mean? Some ledgend of your family?"

"Yes aperently he knew Rave. He helped her in the past and was the first person in Phalanix to augment there body," Joshua says "Also there was a legend that he had a lab somewhere."

"A lab?" she asked. "Strange...it couldn't be the same lab that Ravelyn was in...You know, she's never got over her fear of doctors...more or less deals with them in her manner. Anyway, give me one reason not to go," she said challenging him, her eyes flecked with silver.

"He was my father and he made me what I am so if he is down there I want to confront him myself," Joshua says "Besides you should let Rave know that a old friend might still be alive."

"If she was able to here my call, I would call her..." she said, her tone and infliction dropping. She'll return...she has to...Qui said that...damn him. Damn him and his prophecies! she thought to herself silently. "Alright...but i'm coming with you until that point..."

"All right. But even I don't know what is down there," Joshua says as he grabs his shirt and begens putting it on

She nods slightly in satisfaction, tossing his pants to him as well with a teasing smile. "We'll soon find out," she said. She turned towards the mirror, twisting her hair into tendrils and pinning it half up. Her crystal colored eyes glimmered in the light. She put a necklace around her neck, the silver chain still giving her difficulty after all this time.

"My love..." Alexander ran his hand down her hair.

Kelly sighed, and settled back into his arms. "Mmmm...." She was now quite obviously pregnant, but still moving with ease. "I'm glad you went through with it."

"As am I, Kelly."

Hey I'm still here ya know. And there is something on the Phalanix news you might want to see. Dekker says over Kelly's Nural interface.
The sudden broad cast is sent directly into the NI with all the known information about what is happening. Suddenly behind the reporter Joshua walks by holding a old Colt and a recently found Berreta. The reporter tries to interveiw him but is quickly pushed aside gently.
---------------Several hours earlier---------------------
"All right then," Joshuha says as he grabs his to new recently given to him weapons. He quickly boards his warthog and gets ready to drive off to the area

Kelly blinks. "What?"

Alexander noted it. "No."

"Alex..."

"NO. If I must confine you forcibly, you are not going to Phalanix. Not with my child." Alexander stood up, fury coming into his eyes. "Do I make myself quite clear?"

Kelly backed away. His eyes had become cold, full of anger. "Yes... Alexander. You know what's best."

"That I do." He pondered for a second. "Perhaps I might go... just to look into things... or better yet, send someone else."

Dekker suddenly sent a second news cast to the NI. This time it actualy had Joshua saysing something. Off camera in Joshua's voice "Damn it so you are saying that the name Maxwell...Hey get that damn cammera out of here." Suddenly the boardcast went dead. This might be something bigger than expected.

Alexander sighed. "Gentlemen?"

Two Inquisitors walked in. "Confine my wife to the palace for the next few days... I'm going on a trip."

Just great the love struck idiot decides to risk his life and end up posbily tainting the Maxwell name. Hope he runs into Phoenix.

Shut up, Dekker. Otherwise I'll take him up on his offer to put you into a toaster. Besides, would you really let Joshua handle matters on his own? *Really?*Kelly shook her head. "Alex, you shouldn't go."

"Oh, I'm going. I want to be there when that idiot Joshua finally gets what's coming to him." He looked into his closet, and picked his duelling armor out, blood stains evident. "Don't worry about me, Kelly."

Kelly winced at the sight of the uniform. Every few weeks, he killed another prisoner in a duel, and kept the blood on his suit. It was disgusting. She was only thankful he didn't make her watch. Roanians and their dueling.

Yup. He makes Phoenix look tame in away. Besides they aperntly got Eric and Phoenix there. He is infor some sh*t storm.

They wouldn't dare harm him. Both of them know I would kill them if they did. And that would be like asking the Roanians to conquer Phalanix and destroy it to the bedrock.

Alexander looked at weapons. He selected two pistols, folded them and put them into an internal holster. Daggers were slipped into his boots, and a set of glistening rings went on to his fingers. Finally, a cross was pulled down and hung around his neck. "Swords... swords..."

His fingers felt for a sharp edged one. He picked it up, and spun it through the air. There was a popping sound. "Good."

From what I've managed to get my code on it looks like he might not even want to fire a nuke at the place.

Kelly coughed. "Alex... wouldn't you rather stay here?"

"No." Alexander sheathed his blade. "Now... I gave that idiot Joshua a trans-ring at the wedding... let's hope he kept it around, because I'm going to warp there." He paused, and kissed Kelly. "I love you. Keep out of trouble while I'm gone."

Dekker, contact me if she should... you know, go into labor or get ill or something, and I'll inform the boss-guy. George said.

Alexander handed Kelly a ring. "Here. Keep this on. It'll make me able to come to you."

OOC: Just go with it, say Joshua has it. Alexander is not in the mood to deal with military obstructionism, and if he appears right there, the story moves faster.

OOC:Lets just say Joshua dumped it with Phoenix. Just for fun.

OOC: Alexander is in no mood to deal with Phoenix, and he's packing enough weaponary to chop him into tiny pieces (along with everyone nearby). Besides, Phoenix isn't near Joshua, and that's where Alex needs to be.

IC: Alexander twisted his ring, and disapeared, hurtling to Phalanix. "Love you..."

He landed, and looked around. He saw...

OOC:Phoenix is in the lab right now. Besides he is armed to the teath with a Exo-Suit
IC:Phoenix grumnbled as his exo-suit was unloaded from the elevator with Joshua and Eric. "Well what the f**K did they find here?" Eric asks as he walks off the elevator. "My fathers lab moron," Phoenix says as he looks over the old shotgun and M22 the teams found in the area. "Shut up nutcase," Eric just replies back very pissed off. "Break it up girls and get ready I feel we got something coming," Joshua says as he removes the safty on his Barreta

"Well, well, well. If it isn't the three musketeers." Alexander stepped out of the shadows. "Hello, Joshua, Phoenix, Eric. Did you miss me?" He bowed. "Kelly sends her love."

"And I'll send you home in a body bag if you even make her cry," Phoenix growls at him as he rubs the weapons he holds. Eric just stairs at Alexander with pure and utter hatred. His people had made his life a living hell and he had never seen his sister for years because of them.
Joshua finaly breaks the scilence after Phoenix's statment "Why the hell are you hear and how?"

OOC:I'm out for the night later

Alexander moved, smoothly, over to Joshua. "It was either she goes, or I go. And I'm not going to put my wife or child at risk." He stared at Eric, amusement touching his cold eyes. "Hello, Kenja."

(O_o a lot happened. lol)

Kenja had mostly remained out of the way, listening and picking up on things. An amused smile came to her face as Alexander said her name, but the reference was unpleasing to her. "My choice..." she said in reply. "I'm not helpless." Her eyes grew uneasingly cold that would make the hardest of hearts shatter into oblivion.

"And she should have come. And if you even fire one round at any of my people. Big ol' lovable Eric gets to send you to meet Buba and be his bitch," Phoenix says as he smirks at the being Buba's bitch part.
"Damn it I'm going without you morons. Kenja you can come," Joshua says as he begns walking towars the deeper cave area

OOC:Yup alot has

Alexander rolled his eyes. "Not without me. I made a promise. And whatever else I gave up when I took on my fighting style, I retain my honor." He followed.

OOC: If Kenja tried to read his mind, she'd get a horrible surprise... wouldn't hurt her, or anything. Let's just say that he has more in common with vampires then he would admit... though his choice of drink is human terror, not blood.

ooc: She may not be advanced enough, she still needs more training to access minds of certain people, being only a neonate.

IC:

Kenja looks toward Joshua, and then to Alexander. And you fire one round, it may not have the desired effect. she thought to herself, and followed him deeper into the cave

OOC: It's fairly obvious, even non-psychics can sense it.

IC: Alexander looked around, feeling the fear and anger in this place. He drew his blade. "Interesting... can you not feel it, Kenja? The horror..." he licked his lips and smiled his thin smile.

Kenja looked toward him, returning his hard glare. "Yes..." she said softly, then continued. "I would have pegged you for a vampire at first glance. But first impressions are not always accurate..."

"This place does resonate with pain and fear. But it is the fear of death and weakness. The fear of the human race," Joshua says as he begens walking towards a old desk. He touches it and can feel the fear of the last one to use it. "He wasn't alone down here," Joshua says as he begens to open the draws.

Alexander smiled. He thought, loud enough for Kenja to hear, Fear of weakness and death? My favorite.... His sword started to glow with an unearthly aura. "What are we looking for?"

"Tell me," She said to Alexander directly. "Why would I be led to peg you as a vampire right off the bat..." her demeanor changed to one of dominant stature. "You speak of fear as if it were blood to you, your thoughts are revealing...maybe you should hide them. I tend to be rather curious." she continued by Joshua's side, her eyes peering at the desk, a picture lay upon it.

"You are looking for nothing here," Joshua says as he pulls a old picture from one of the draws and looks at it "This is only 10 years old. He might still be here." Joshua once again began to move deeper in.

Alexander turned, and regarded her beatifically. He drew his blade. "After we last met, I underwent some martial training... along a certain style. Perhaps you've heard of it? Dark Harvest?" Seeing no response, he continued. "It was developed some two-hundred years ago by us Roanians. It involves the taking of your opponent's negative reactions and using them."

He licked his lips. "I chose to work in terror. I studied for weeks, fought dozens of opponents, and eventually I was proclaimed master... then my teacher attacked me." He laughed at the memory. "I defeated the old fool, and took his sword... and the spirit within spoke to me... offered me so much, for such a little thing..." A small portion of my soul. "And surely you have noted it? The beautiful aura of a frightened victim?"

Alexander wheeled about. "On your guard, the two of you... I feel we may not be alone."

"You are risking your life by being here Alexander. You are tempting fate and entering the ground of a place that makes even Eric Lancer fearful," Joshua says as he looks at the picture once more. It shows a middle age man with deep brown hair smiling and has his arm over a woman and a older man both smiling with the cave as the background.

"What is life without risk, brother-in-law?" Alexander smiled. "As both of you know, I always have a back-up plan... in this case, my pistols and my rings." He smirked. "Worst comes to worse, then I use the leap ring to get the three of us to Roania."

That's a high price to pay, she replied, seemingly unmoved. So that was it? OR was it something more. She looked at him one more time before switching her glance to Joshua.

"You won't be taking me anywhere," Joshua says as he suddenly fires off 3 rounds from his colt into the darkness.

Do you consider it to be so? Alexander asked, looking around. His sword suddenly exploded into full glow. "We are not alone..."

He turned, and spoke. "Come to me, whoever you are. Let me feast on your terror..." Alexander's eyes lost their emotion and his face took on an alien cast. "HAHAHAHA!" The blade spun around, revealing the foe...

Kenja's fangs became evident as her lips parted, and a soft growl escaped her lips. There would be no guns for her.

"Idiot it was only a remoet operated turret," Joshua says "They were used over 20 years ago befor replaced with AI controled turrets." Joshua sighed. He was no related to two isane men.

Alexander spun around. "No... you fool... can you not sense them?" He paused. "This way..."

OOC: Is there anyone living down there? If so, he's going to find them.

"Technology," she said, glancing at Alexanders seemingly elaborate display. "Wonderful, isn't it?" She smiled softly, and communicated to Joshua, He's crazy.

OOC:Acutaly there is a few dozen cave rats and 3 cryo pods. Don't find the pods just yet they are something very interesting
IC:
"Well what ever it is isn't human," Joshua says with out even moving as he looks at the picture then at Kenja

Alexander took on his normal hue, holding his hand to his head. "Uch..." then he turned around and sliced through a passing rodent. His arm seemed to tingle at the creature's death. "It will do."

"I beleive we've established that," she laugh, but her laughter was stifled as she glanced uneasingly upon the room. Her person regained the slightly hesitant nature momentarily. "Let's go..." she said, her voice trailing off.

Alexander looked around. He knew there was something... something else, something human, mortal... weak. George?

*Zzzz... eh? Oh. Nothing here, sir...zzzz*

Hmmm... blade?

Yes, master? The voice of the deathblade echoed through his head.

Can you feel it? There are humans... somewhere here.

Yes... and then again, no. Wait. It will become obvious.

Joshua just sighed. He should never have acepted that ring in the first place. He slowly began walking thinking about that picture he held in his hands. He slowly opened the frame and took it out. Slowly a smaller picture floated down to the ground. He bent over to pick it up and looked at it. It showed a lovely young woman about 19 with should length light brown hair. Joshua felt something about this woman was important yet he pushed it aside. As he looked up a fait hum of power cought his ears. Hey Kenja you might want to see this. Joshua quickly says to her mind as he walks over to the hum and sees a older cryo-pod. Joshua slowly brushes the frost off and looks in shock at the person in the tube is the same one in the picture. He slowly turns the picture over and reads the name and date on the back. "Echo Maxwell. 2050 19th birthday."

Kenja slowely made her way toward the cyro pod. She brushed some more of the frost aside, and stood back in shock, unable to speak. Oh my God, Joshua...she looks exactly...exactly like...

Alexander watched in amazement. "That's not who I think it is, right?"

"All I know is her name is Echo," Joshua says "And she is a Maxwell." Joshua slowly begens typing o nthe pad on the cyo-pod to open it. "Lets try not to scare her ok," he says mostly directing the coment at Alexander

"If she's a Maxwell, she may not scare easily," a hint of a smile caught her face as she looked at the woman. She glanced over at Alexander. That man could scare anyone...erm...nearly everyone...that didn't know him...or had intentions of scaring him

"Well after over 10 years of cryo and we don't know who she is also well except for her being Echo and who did she look like?" Joshua asks as the cryo-pod's awakening system hummed to life.

"N..no one..." she said, trailing off. "It's nothing. How long before we can get her recalled to life?" She passed by the side of the pod, Joshua across from her. She looked to the woman, then her eyes shifted toward the key pad, and the one accessing it.

"Well it may take 5 minutes," Joshuua says Tell me who. Or I can just figure out on my own, Joshua sends to Kenja

Kenja smiles softly. She knew that Joshua knew her too well, as well as the occasional stutter that gave away any convincing aspect in her words. Well then, you'll have to get it out of me later...if you can... she glanced up to him, her eyes taunting, though only for a moment. She glanced back at the woman.

"She should be thawed out," Joshua says as he pops the hatch on the pod and lets the cool air float out.

She felt her heart beating again. The sting of beathing after a cryo-sleep and the heat. The heat she felt was a total shock. She slowly opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was a man. "Adam..." she slowly whispered out beofr her eyes cloased again and she fell asleep again this time into a light one.

When Joshua heard her call him Adam he was slightly shocked. Let me guess. Rave, Joshua sends to Kenja quickly befor he quicly looks over her vitals.

In a way, yes, but that is not the person whom I am thinking of.... She smiled softly. "Adam?" Kenja said slightly perplexed. "Rave had said something about him...said...something about torture...she hardly ever recalls her days of her creation...to much pain. But she had mentioned him before."

Alexander leapt back at the sheer emotion from the woman. Yes... His eyes flashed from cool blue to a fiery red and then back, trying to keep his hunger under control. "Why would... she mention your father, Joshua? Is she..." Or was Kelly wrong? Who is this Adam that he would have such a pull on people after his... death? Did he die? If not, is there some way I can take his powers?

My, don't we have big plans, Alexander.

Silence, Blade. We might have to go to work soon...

"He was my father I aperently got his looks while Phoenix got his strength," Joshua says "And he did help free Rave only after that did he go missing."
Echo slowly stired, the lag from the sleep was wearing off. She slowly opened her eyes once more and looked directly into Joshua's and said weakly "Glad to see you again..... Thought you were dead."
"Hate to break it to you but I'm not Adam, I'm Joshua Maxwell, Adam Maxwell's son," Joshua says as he looks her right back in the eye "You have been asleep in cryo for ten years and alot has changed, like my brother being president and the civil wars befor."
"What? But where is Adam? Is he dead?" she asks suddenly worried.
"We don't know. We have been trying to find him for seval years with no luck. Just wondering what was your relation ship with him?"

OOC; A bit late, but may I join?

OOC: A bit late, check with Phalanix... I hate my internet connection.

IC: Alexander nodded. His lips curled. "So... I suppose you'll be needing her."

OOC:I'll have to think about it and the virus RP died so it was pointless to bring you in Tiburon.

IC:
Echo suddenly looked at Alexander and moved back slightly. She felt something evil about him and didn't want to find out what it was. "Don't worry about him he is just a little prick that we piss off by calling holy boy," Joshua says as he offers his hand to help Echo out of her cryo-pod. She takes his hand and a feeling a purity and warmth rushes over Joshua. Echo then pulls herself up over the cryo-pod edge and brishes some of her hair out of her face and smiles at Joshua. "Thanks. Well alos to answer your question I'm his daugter but he never told me I had any brothers," she says as she reaches into her jeans she has and pulls out a hair tie and puts her hair in a pony tail with the exception of some strands. She then looks at Kenja and smiles and asks "Am I related to you aswell?"

"Not at the moment," she said, then nudged Joshua, a slight glimmer in her crystal like eyes. She smiled halfly, her fangs not visable, for the sake to calm all confusion. "I'm kind of Josh's girlfriend..." And I as well share dislike of holy boy over there, Echo heard in her mind as Kenja's gaze passed to Alexander. Holy is hardly a word to describe him.
She looked at Joshua, then gripped his shoulder. I think that Qui is more holy than that one... she said softly to him.

A dark shard touched Echo's mind, moving through, taking and reading. Alex's eyes flashed from blue to red, and back to blue quickly. So, you're another Maxwell. You're nowhere near as beautiful as my wife is.

Aloud he said, "So... if she was in that tube thing... then these other ones must be occupied as well." His mind suddenly reeled back at the simple purity within her, and he swore. Damn it.

Phoenix is more holy, Joshua sends back with a mental laugh.
You do know I can hear you clearly. And I can feel that so called man trying to read me, Echo suddenly says in all three of there minds. "Holy sh*t!" Joshua says in shock "What the hell did he do to you?" "I don't know what your talking about," she replies with quite a pricless look of confusion on her young face. "Well our father eddited me your brother and one of your sisters DNA by adding difrent types. He gave me and your older brother vampire DNA and your older sister elf DNA. Although it didn't help me because I was turneed to save my life," Joshua says just hoping not to scare her. "So that was the empty void I felt in you," she replies not even shocked about finding out "I guess he protected me and didn't even implant any DNA in me."

Alexander laughed, suddenly. "Ha. So called man? Quaint." He drew his sword, and spun it through the air. "I am what I always have been. A servant of the lord." He smirked and turned to face Joshua. "And at least I retain a portion of my soul, brother-in-law. Unlike a certain someone...?"

OOC: He's still human, he's just caught in perfect balance between the light and the darkness.

And if, say, some rebels or something were to attack, you would get to see him in action.

"No I feel a soul still in him. Unlike you. I feel the power of coruption brewing within your soul. Besides he isn't a mass killer. He feels remores," she says "And all I know is that I was sealed in my cryo pod befor anyone else." Joshua still stuned at the fact he has another sister and a stunning one at that who was posibly the purest in the entire family, but when he helped her out of the cryo-pod he felt a burden lifted from his mind.

OOC: Check that, I like this picture better for Alexander. It encapsulates him as he is.

IC: "Enough. I grow bored with the pathetic mewings of a girl that has slept for 10, or however many years. Let the others out." Alexander strode over to one of the other cryogenic tubes, and set in motion the activation controls. Then he stepped back and faced it, sword drawn.

Slowly another tube opens revealing a body rotted from time. "Real smart. That one failed I sugjest you don't try and activate another," Echo says her voice echos through the stone walls seeming like a choir of angels singing strangly enugh "And show me some respect. For every live you take I see the darkness growing." Wow. Talk about slightly disturbing and amazing, Joshua says to Kenja. Damn it stop talking about me behind my back because I can pick up on this to, Echo says as she sudddenly buts in.

"I'll do as I wish. There is one more of these that contains something that lives... at *least* one." Alexander turned, and faced the tubes. "Very well, Echo. You activate the living one. Or I turn them all on."

"How about you piss off and stop giving orders," she says as he hits a slingle button on her pod and the rest of the pods suddenly lock up.
"Just great. When I finaly find the place where I must have been born everything
just goes to hell," Joshuha says under his breath.
OOC:You can attack her with the sword just saying but she will be fighting back with insanly precise strikes

OOC: He won't kill her, just get her to do as he says.

IC: "Unlock them. Now," when Echo refused, Alexander grinned. "So be it." He slashed his sword through the air. "It's time you learnt something about obeying your betters."

Suddenly Echo ripps a long sword from a hidden sheath on the cryo-pod and smirks. Even after 10 years this sword seemed brand new it had it's own light slightly gleeming when she held it. "Bring it," she says as she enters a lost combat stance.

OOC:I know you wouldn't because she is key in the upcoming events besides Alexander would most likely be killed by Joshua if he did

Alexander sighs. "Blade, punishment 12. Non-lethal force."

He steps into combat stance. Then his mind attacks, slamming through her mental defenses (and Joshua's and Kenja's as well) and wracking her brain with terror and pain. "Unlock them!"

Echo just smirks "Why use such a thing against family," She says as she moves her sword into a prayer postion and it glows slightly sending up a massive mental block around the entire cavern. "That seems much better now or are you going to be a coward and not rely on the way of the sword."

OOC:The mental block totaly disables everyone's mental abilitys this includes Echo so that means no mind reading and such but magic is unafected

OOC: Not magic? heh.

IC: "Why keep family trapped in there?" Alex asked, deadly serious. "Black cage!" A wheel of dark energy shot from Blade and at Echo, pinning her. Alexander moved quickly to the control panel, and began the process that would unlock all of the tubes. "There, not that difficult, was it?"

"Actualy I fixed that problem," Echo says as she smirks again.
Suddenly the controll panel reads "code required."
"Added that befor I went to sleep," she says befor she suddenly begens what looks like praying

Alexander wheels around. "Pathetic." He raised his hands. "By the power of the all mighty one which I serve, and before whom we are all ants, I command the angels of heaven to strengthen my blade and aid me in battle."

His eyes closed. Then they opened. BLADES OF GABRIEL!

A ray of golden light shot at Echo. "Be reasonable. Why don't you want the others awoken?"

Joshua had seen enugh. "THATS IT!" he shouted as he lunged at Alexander in a full fit of fury. Echo suddenly screamed and shouted out "PURE BLAZE!" Suddenly the powers that bound her were entirely removed from her. She rose again. "So you have to resort to magic now."

Alexander slammed the hilt of his sword into Joshua, knocking him on to the floor. Then he muttered a few words, and both Echo and Kenja were sent flying into a wall, where they stayed. "No one move."

He glared around. "No one. Am I quite clear? Let me be brief. There are people still living inside those tubes. And if young Ms. Maxwell doesn't tell me why she doesn't want them out, I will open them myself." He flexed his muscles, leaving it quite clear how he intended to do so. Paralysis Bind!

The three of them were frozen up, unable to move. Magic nullus. Echo's mind detached from the warp and cleft for an instant, and she temporarily lost her ability to perform magic. "Clock is ticking... answer."

"How about you leave her alone and face me like a man insted of like a coward and prove that there is still honor in that curupt soul of yours," a voice says as a sword blade glints in the light of the cryo pods internal lighting "Or do I have to realy kick some ass?"

"Heh." Alex tosses his hair back. "And may I know the name of the man I'm about to chop into tiny pieces?"

"Try the name of legends here," the voice said as a figure came ouf of the shadows fully clothed in armor only whispered about thatone man heedl in his posesion. The armor was known as the Lost Dragoon armor legend said it was made befor Phalanix was founded and formed a true government. Only the pure were aloud to wear it and it was aparently magicly embuied with a scarced stone of the "Order of the Lost"

"How... dramatic." Alexander laughed. "Very well. Shall we dance?" He stepped back into fighting stance, his sword glistening with a dark energy.

It wasn't long before the bind on Kenja shattered. It's one of the very few benifits of having Qui as a sire, you were his apprentice in everything else as well. She noticed a deep similarity between the two, though at different sides of the spectrum. "Don't press your luck Alexander...your against more than you could possibly know. With your source of power exposed by Ravelyn...there is absolutely no way that light is as divine as it seems to be, and there is no way, your getting past all three of us."

The man shook his armored head and entered a combat stance of "Fury Dragoon." As he stood the man's sword glistening with pure energy. Echo slowly started to pray again and began to call for help from some higher place.

NOW she reminds me of Rave... she thought to herself. She watched on, exchanging a confused look.

"Pathetic." Alexander said, spinning his blade through the air. Below him, the earth trembled and shook, an updraft blowing his hair. "Powers of light and darkness, of life and death. Workings of balance and order, come to me!" A massive energy charge shot from him, into Echo and Kenja. "Be silent, peasants. Trouble not the affairs of the mighty."

He faced the man, and bowed. "Dark Harvest Stance, #22. Catalan Crush. Ultimate force." Then he calmly drew a pistol from a concealed place, and shot several anti-magic, armor piercing bullets at the knight. "Goes double for you."

Now that all his opponents were distracted, he walked towards one of the tubes, the one that he could detect life force coming from. Alexander touched his hand to the cryogenic tubes. Unlocking Dragon. An energy current spun out from Blade, and irregardless of the code, the door began to unlock. Alexander waited. Then he spat. "Really, Maxwell. I can't see why you were so worried."

Kenja immediately reacted, her reflexes quick. Seni had endowed her with all of his power when he sacrificed his life for her, however her ice elementality and any control over any element had been given up. She was a mage, no longer an elemental. She dove infront of Echo, taking the shot into herself, and catching the energy within her hands. The force, however, slammed into her chest, sending her backwards crashing into a wall. She gritted her teeth as she gripped tightly around the energy that had been targeted toward the two, it's color changing into a light crystal grey. She watched it dissipate before her, and tilted her head, glaring at Alexander. "Peasant?!" Her eye twitched slightly as her fists clenched so hard by her side that they shook. As she took a step forward, her abdomen hurt from where she had been hit, and she winced, but did not break her glare. Uh...that's gonna leave a mark... Her fangs bared in defense and threat, now revealed to Echo's line of veiw.

OOC: The bullets had been fired at the man, not Echo. He wouldn't kill her. Kenja and the other man are at risk, not the Maxwells.


IC: "I stand in between the light and dark. But that doesn't matter. I *am* both of the light and of the dark." Alexander strode forward towards Kenja, his eyes frozen and cold. "You stand in the path of balance, vampire."

A massive energy charge shot from him, into Echo and Kenja.

Her eyes matched his, though not in coldness, but in force. "I stand between you and the ones dear to me..." she referred to Echo, but on a deeper note; Joshua. Her eyes grew sharp. She had no reason to beleive she would be able to hold her ground if push comes to shove against him, yet she still held strong, showing no visable weakness, however there was a deep fear within her heart. "You've must have strayed off the path, holy boy."

OOC: Ohh... my misunderstanding.

IC: Alex shook his head. "When will you people learn? There is no way for the light to conquer the darkness without using the darkness." He stood erect, proud and arrogant. "The Balance must be maintained, at all costs."

Suddenly what was thought to be life turned to a feeling of pure evil likea black hole sucking the light from everything around it. The cryo-tube exploded sending shards and metal everywhere mostly pleting Alexander. After the blast a dark figure rushed Alexander at umseen speeds. The man in the armor shouted out "You f**king fool you just signed your death warent!" With that he bolted into the shadows once more. Suddenly a glow from Echo's pocket shown out breaking the spells set on her. "Forgot about that," she says with a smirk as a somewhat holy glow glemeddin her eyes. Joshua who was in a very bad mood now shouteed out a horific cry. Something dark flew from his body into the figure. With that added darkenss the figure suddenly opened horific blood red eyes that dripped blood mixed with a dark fluid.

Alexander turned. "I knew what would come. It must be faced, eventually." He stared at the beast, and held his hand up. A glistening wall of energy slammed into everyone else in the room, leaving only him and the creature standing.

Alexander flicked his hair back. "So, destroyer of balance... you come out to play with me?" He spoke in what seemed to be two voices. "So be it. I shall destroy this creature alone."

Suddenly the figure started to change. It took the form of Kelly in her current form. "What is going on?"

"When the hell will you learn?" she exclaimed, shouting at him viciously. "Do you realize what you've done. You son of a bitch!" She said, observing what had been creating, it's blood red eyes mimicking the blood, which reminded her of Qui in some way. Kenja's eyes darted toward Joshua, hearing a cry escape his lips. She sidestepped horizontally from him. "What the hell is that?" She exclaimed. She definately knew she would be able to hold her ground against that.

Joshua's body fell limp. "No not again," Echo says silently as slowly tears begen to form in her eyes "Not again..."

Phoenix heard his brothers cry and began running towards him but suddenly felt a cold shiver run through him then slowly he began backing away. Something so evil that only those pure could be near was there and he wasn't about to risk his brother again

Suddenly the figure started to change. It took the form of Kelly in her current form. "What is going on?"

Alexander stepped backwards. "No..." he attacked. "NO! NO ONE TAKES THE FORM OF MY BELOVED! DIE, BEAST!"

His hands moved, faster then anyone could see. "Jah neh teh hee os dos tes ten! I am the one of the river which splits the mountain. I am one with the force of power. I command you to show your true form!" Massive magic came from him, forcing Kelly's form to waver and disapear into the shadow beast. "Now, be destroyed."

He held his sword up before his eyes, and closed them. "Cleansing fire!" Burning white flames shot at the monster.

The monster suddenly took the form of Echo who fell backwards and screamed in fear. The feeling of her purity had branched out and as the fire hit her she shouted out "Purity Flame" Suddenly a pure white flame shot from her hand and slowly took the flame and brushe it aside only burning her hand slightly

OOC:And do not go saying you can change its form because then your RPing my character without my permishion

"Doppleganger," she said looking at it nervously, she bent down over Joshua, falling to his side, and attempting to wake him up before the creature noticed her efforts.

OOC: Right, it's just that Alex, if forced to harm something that looked like his wife, would go on a murderous rampage beyond what Phoenix can dream of. Not a good thing.

By the way, the screaming in fear? Bad idea.

IC:

Alex blinked. Oh, yes... The fire was ignored, singing his skin. He lapped at the fear, drank it, absorbed the negative energy. He laughed. "Yes! MORE!" He shot forth wave after wave of flames, trying to make the creature even more frightened. His skin was burned, but every second it healed a trifle faster, as the negative emotions were taken by him.

"It isn't one. It was a human until he was declineed for editing so he edited himself and was placed in cryo after I had subdued him. I was told to gaurd him with my life by any means needed so if that means I have to kill that evil soul that is facing him I will," Echo says as she stands behind Kenja and brushes off a tear.

Suddenly the flames distorted and Kelly's voice cried out in pain as if she was onfire. "Stop! Your killing me!" it screamed in Kelly's voice although the thing became stronger wiht the more Alexander absorbed what he thought was fear. For this thing had no emotion called fear it was only fake.

OOC:I understand

Alexander tossed his blade aside, and weeped. He just fell to the floor, his pride lost. He knew it wasn't her, but... "I'm sorry, Kelly... I'm sorry..."

"That's not Kelly!" she yelled to him, then looked at Echo desperately while resting Joshua's head in her lap. "How do we kill this thing?!"

Alexander just lay there, sadness wracking his face. "I'm sorry, Kelly..." tears fell from his eyes. He was unable to move, unable to do anything except pray.

The figure rose still ablaze and in Kelly's voice says "You killed your own love! You have only become something worse than Phoenix himself! Hell has a spot for you in the 9th ring!" Suddenly right befor his eyes the suroundings became the 9th ring.

((OOC:This is a illusion just to let ya know))

"We can't. All he is doing is feeding it's eternal hunger and making him feel fear and pain of loss," Echo says as she kneels down beside Joshuha and brushes some hair form his face and places her hand on his forhead

Alexander screamed. And screamed, and screamed, and screamed. Darkness and light wheeled around him, pain came to his eyes. "NO!" He shut his eyes, and felt for his pistol. He put it to his head, and started to count. "No..."

"Watch over him," she said softly to Echo as she looked at Joshua. She kissed his lips gently, and in feeling no response, she stood up, and turned around slowely to face the abomination. She took an offensive position, drawing both her guns, walking toward the thing while rapidly firing at "Kelly".

Alexander spun up, and pointed the gun at Kenja, seeming beyond sanity. "Stop right there!"

"Alexander don't be a fool!" she said desperately. "It's not Kelly. Remember!? You wouldn't let Kelly come. That's not Kelly! Snap out of it!"

Alexander's finger tightened on the trigger. The only way Kenja would be able to stop him would be by either killing him, or by knocking him out.

He was not loosening his gun from his hand. She would either half to pry it from him, or kill him. Though she fancied one option more than she would have liked to, she made a quick decision. The guns dropped from her hands as she placed one upon her temple, and the other outreached. The gun began to tremble in his hands as she focused on it. She was too far away to lunge at him, so this was her last restort; telekenesis. She silently wished she could freeze it, but had lost her elementality.

Suddenly a single bullet lanced out and struck Alexander's gun fallowed by 5 others that shatered the gun. Echo sighed and lowered the old Colt and set it back in the holster at Joshua's side.

The figure set ablaze laughed when suddenly the bullets struck the gun. It turned it's head towards the shooter and it's eyes widdened slightly. The one who sealed him away was aswell free. Echo met it's gaze and then looked back at Joshua still weak and head resting on her lap

Alexander just looked at his hand. "What?" He turned. "You're not Kelly..."

He waved his hand, slammed them together. "Powers of Life and Death, I abjure you and compell thee, strike down this destroyer of balance. Send it to the doom which it deserves." He closed his eyes, and pointed his sword at the creature. ETERNAL JUSTICE!

The world shook, rocks falling from out of nowhere, falling down, crushingly at the beast which had had the gall to take the form of his beloved Kelly. Fire scorched from the ground, burning both him and the doppelganger, and a chilling wind blew across the heart of everyone in the room.

His most powerful spell completed, he was drained of power. Taking two steps away from the creature, he collapsed, managing the words, "Fly, you idiots... what are you waiting for? Leave me!" He closed his eyes, and became unconcious, not knowing what, if any, effects his spell had had on the beast.

Kenja let out a sigh of releif as the gun shattered in Alexander's hands. Remind me to thank you later... she said softly, glancing back at Joshua, and turning her gaze upon the creature. Later they would settle this, but for now, there were deeper problems.

Echo sat where she was holding Joshua as Alexander cast the spell. She had felt fear for herself befor but none like this. She was ready to do anything to protect Joshua et she felt something was wrong.

IC: The figure let lose a horific shreak befor it suddenly formed a wave of darkness that blinded everyone but it as it suddenly fired off a massive exposive force into the ground benth it. Rocks that fell on it were broken only seemingly strengthening the beast

Kenja looked at the beast. The darkness that fell upon it only made it stronger. Sorry Alexander, but as proved in my family, you can't beat darkness with darkness, only light. She picked up a long steel rod from the ground, skillfully twisting it to get a feel for it. She looked at it, as her eyes begun to shift to a lightened grey.

Echo sueddenly saw faint outlines of the others around her sees Kenja gabing somthing and shouts "GET DOWN!" Suddenly a massive burst of pure red fire starts shooting towards Kenja. At this time the beast had already made a massive hole that it seemingly knew there was a tunnel underneath the section it was on.

OOC:Ok so it lives...for now

Kenja dropped to the ground, but apparently not fast enough. The fire grazed the side of her arm, burning it severly. She let out a cry, but graped the steal staff tightly in the other. She stammered up, pain shooting through her arm. She had to try...
She weilded it towards the creature, rushing it in a futile attempt to overcome it.

Suddenly another burst came flying at Kenja this time much wider when suddenly something or someone knocked her out of the way. Joshua who had awoken apon hearing Kenja's cry of pain had suddenly bolted and pushed her out of the way but his left arm wasn't fast enugh to make it away for him to move unharmed. He let out a gasp of pain as the fire burned him nearly to the point of making his left arm entirly useless. Suddenly he felt a peircing pain go through him he felt the cold taste of steel in his chest and the warm blood rolling down his chest. A protruding steel pipe went through Joshua's chest when he pushed Kenja out of the way.

Kenja was pushed to the side, unable to see whom it was. She hit the rough ground hard, and her body began to regenerate. Seni had bestowed upon her a wonderful gift, though she often didn't recognize healing to be anything special. She let out an almost inaudible sound, and rolled to see whom had pushed her out of the way. All color drained from her face. Oh my God... she could barely think, and was incapable of uttering a word. She gathered what strength she had left to crawl by his side. She looked at the wound, and the steel pole. She placed her hand around it, and one at the top. In a quick effort, she pulled it from his body, placing her hands on the wound as soon as she is free. Her eyes were now completely white. "Stay with me Joshua..." she said as she frantically tried to summon what energy lay dormant in her to give to him. White wisps of mist traveled from her hands to his skin. "Please...don't leave me..."

Joshua felt the sting of the pole being ripped from his chest suddenly he remembered the pain felt as Qui's sword had went through his body. He looked* at Kenja with distant eyes as if his pain was something else as well.

Kenja looked at Joshua, and felt her body becoming weaker. Healing drained her, but sustained her enough to live. She looked at him in concern...if his soul didn't want to hold on, she could not help. She can not heal the eternally dead. "Please...stay with me. You can't quit now..." She frantically searched her memories.
"Remember that time I pushed you into the pool, and you had to get me back by doing the same. And I stuttered because I was nervous in front of you. We got stuck in that closet oh so many times...and ripping the amps of of that car...and the whole shower incident...." She frantically searched for memories for him to hold on to as she attempted intense healing. Seni had been the one to fix Joshua's spine...he had always been good at healing, but this was new to her.

OOC:back later like in a hour

Joshua's gaze remained the same but with each moment mentioned by Kenja he recalled them but his gaze never changed. Echo tired of seeing her brother like this slowly crawled over to him and reached for his hand.

Drawing weaker with every ounce of energy she gave from her body, she grew stronger in spirit. "And...and..." she seemed to slip off for a moment, her eyes becoming heavy. "And you ripped that sword out of Qui. You were always defending me...always...and..."

Echo felt Joshua's hand and grabed it and wraped her hands around it nd slowly a single tear rolled down her cheek and driped on to his hand. Suddenly his gaze slowly started to return.

Alexander just slept, drifting off into another world, a kind, gentle one of peace and understanding.

Joshua felt Echo's touch and a slight warmth spred through his body suddenly his gaze snaped back with such force that his mind felt the impact. "You can stop now. He will be fine also that so calledd "holy boy" needs some help," Echo says

As his gaze returned, the wound healed over. Kenja was beginning to handle her new shift better, able to stand instead of pass out after it. She offered her hand to him. "Now we're even..." she said with a smirk.

Joshua just smiled slightly and said "Well atleast we have something to look for since holy boy nearly shot himself wich I wouldn't mind seeing happen." Echo just sighed snd shoock her head

Kenja laughed, "I wouldn't mind seeing that either." She glanced over at Alexander. I really dislike this guy...

Echo just sighedd again and stood up and began walking over to Alexander and knelt down and began checking for any wounds. "Who wouldn't," Joshua says "Well except my sister."

Kenja smirked. Some HOLY guy...that's like declaring Qui a saint and Ravelyn a demon... (ironic how things work out. :wink: )

You realy are annoying because I can hear you, Echo says in there minds Now after your done wishing death apon others I need some help whit him.

Kenja sighed, and looked toward him. Holy boy just better remember this... She walked over to him, checking his vital signs by placing her cold hand upon his skin. (Roania? :-)

IC: Alexander, not surprisingly, didn't return any vital signs. Instead, when Kenja touched him, she felt an immediate sensation of terrible sadness and rage, and an emptiness beyond her comprehension.

Kenja nearly jumped back. It was as if she was taking the feelings into herself, and she had begun to feel weak, the emotion overwhelming her. "I...can't...do anything.."

"I know. He is gone to put it the mid locked deep within the spirit," Echo says "Lets just get him out of here." She then stands up and a respectfuly as she can begens to try and lift him. Joshua noticing this sands up himself and says "Let me." He then lifts Alexander up. "Lead the way."

Alexander's eyes remained close. His mind, however, began to dart around the room, sucking in negative emotions, especially the fear which hung around this place like a veil.

I think you'll have to see a nurse after this, she snickers, looking at Joshua as he picks up Alexander. "Quickly...let's go..."

Damn it stop it! Echo shouts out mentaly. Damn it I hate haveing people who can hear us talking around Joshuua says as he smirks and begens walking towards the exit

Alexander's eyes start to flutter, and then his mind attacks Echo's, acting without his control. All of her emotions began to be devoured by him.

OOC: A mental block would stop him.

Echo suddenly screamed out as Alexander's mind attacked her. She suddenly shouted out then "Mental block!" "Damn it what now?" Joshua says as he looks around for an attacker.

Me too I agree... She laughed at Echo in good humor. That would be very amusing if they entered the topics they normally discussed with each other...I wonder if this place has any closets....
She looked at Alexander and Echo...she saw something...but what was it?

The recoil sent Alexander back into unconciousness, and he once again began to suck at the negative emotions around the place. He whispered something. "Kelly..."

Joshua heard this and said to him even if he couldn't hear him "I'll make sure she holds you in her arms."

Hey Joshua...if she has a mental block...does that mean she can't hear us? She shifts her eyes to him, laughter within the blue abyss.

Alexander once again began to wake up.

Kenja placed her hand upon Alexander's forehead. "I think he's waking up..."

Alexander's eyes shot all the way open. "Where's that... creature?" He demanded, furiously. His cool, blue eyes darted around the room, meeting their gazes. "I'm going to eat its mind..." He attempted to get out of Joshua's grasp, but was unable to move.

"Whoa!" she exclaimed. "Down boy..." she looked him over. "You're not going back in there..."

Alexander stared at her. Then he winced. "I feel so weak..."

"I know..." she said softly. "So do I... You'll be alright. Just relax." She examined him with a glacne yet again. "Do you feel any pain anywhere? Wounds?"

OOC: You'd think that Phalanix could stick around for my final RP. :cry:

IC: Alexander winced. "My mind feels as if it just tried to read the thoughts of a brick wall. My back is killing me. I just was attacked by some thing which looked exactly like my beloved Kelly. Take your pick."

Kenja sighed, her azure eyes passing over him. Her voice was melodious and carried comfort with it. Her alabastor skin shown slightly irredescent from the moisture on her skin in the lighting. Her silver hair was pulled half up in tendrils that weaved in and out of eachother like snakes and fell in soft waves at the bottom. "It was not you whom hit the brick wall," she began. The soft skin of her hand touched his cheek, and the pain began to slip away as she took it into herself. "And that pain in your back should lessen. The thing that attacked you was not Kelly, and never will be Kelly."

OOC: I know, I know. :( Just want to say I finished one rp with him, and it didn't end with me threatening to turn the ruins of Old Phalanix into a big glass plate.

IC: Alexander gently began to drift back off to sleep. "I miss her... I should never have left her to come here..."

"It will be alright," she said, her voice attempting to soothe him. "Everything will be fine..."

Alexander gently snored, his sleep empty of dreams. For the first time in hours, he radiated peace and contentment.

"Qui would have loved to see that..." she chuckled, exchanging a glance with Joshua. She recalled the time Joshua had pulled the blade from Qui, and thought of the parallell as a whole, but it was inconclusive. SHe analyzed too much.

"Well Qui can get bent," Joshua says "If we were both not vampires or anything more than human I wonder what would happen then." Echo just sighes and stays behind the group.

"Then Qui would be completely angel..." she snickered, and noticed Joshua's unamused expression. Which brings up my point earlier? Can echo hear us if she has a mental block invoked? Well, only one way to find out...After this-------------------------------------------------------------" :shock:

As they drew closer to the light, a familiar voice could be heard... well, several familiar voices. "I don't care what's going on down there, Phoenix. You bring Alexander up here or I'll... I'll..." Kelly couldn't finish the sentence. She didn't know what she'd do. She had just been resting in their room when she had got this horrible feeling about her husband.

"Knock your self out then," Phoenix says "Just take a pistol and go for kill shots." He then hears foot steps "Ok get back," he says as he unslings a fairly large assult rifle and takes aim. "Hey Phoenix relax just me and Kenja and the holy prick," a voice calls out

"Don't you talk about my husband that way." Kelly scolded Joshua. She looked at Alex, and took a deep breath in. "What happened to him?"

She saw Echo. "And who is that?"

Echo just suddenly walked out of view totaly hidden from everyone. "Ah he did relase a evil when he was warned several times and that was," By this time Joshuua had noticeed that Echo was gone "Thats funny."

Don't scold my boyfriend and we'll call it even... She thought to herself, and looked around. "Erm...what happened to Echo?"

Kelly just looked confused. She walked over to Alexander, and picked him up, shaking him awake. "If you ever put yourself in that much risk again, I'll kill you!"

Alexander nodded. "Yes, Kelly. Sorry, Kelly."

"Don't you give me that!" Kelly embraced him. "I don't know what I would do without you." She held him. "Would you like your child to be born without his father around?"

Alexander gently removed her hands. "No. No, I wouldn't."

Joshua suddenly makes the whiped sound and the little motion and just laughs. Phoenix joins in the laughing just waiting to see the look on Alexander's face

Kenja plays off of this immediately. So Joshua...since when to the injured carry whips? Just makes it that much harder for the nurse...

Just saying that Alexaner is whiped thats all and it was just a little joke.

Alexander moans as Kelly continues to scold him. "Yes, dear. No, dear. Of course, dear."

Kelly paused. "Would it be a good idea for you to bring the elephant?"

"Yes, dear." Alexander suddenly realised what she said.

"You just don't listen to me, do you?"

"Yes, dear." Alexander collapsed into the ground.

OOC: Where is Echo?

I don't think you caught my insinuation... She wrapped her arms around his neck, and whispered something softly into his hear.

Joshua just laughs Somedays I'm way to blunt or just tired..

Kenja pretends to pout, more so at the too tired than the too blunt.

Joshua just laughs he realy was tired.

Kelly rolls her eyes. "Well, thank you, Josh, Kenja, for saving my foolish husband from himself."

Alexander looked thoroughly henpecked.

Joshua just smiles and says "Next time he needs to listen."

Kenja looks at her for a moment. "You know, if you want my opinion, you shouldn't be so hard on him. He loves you so much, and you can't even see that between either yelling or scolding him." Her tone took on one much like Qui's, sharp, yet true. She followed by one of his retorts, "but chances are you don't want my opinion."

IC: Kelly looked embarrassed. She coughed. "I'm telling him what he told me. How I shouldn't have put myself at risk because I'm pregnant. Well, he shouldn't have put himself at risk, either. I'm not going to let my child grow up without a father." She blinked back tears.

Alexander just smiled happily at the sky, drifting off into a dream world.

"Risks must be taken. It's a hard thing, beleive me I know more than I could ever tell you. He probably shouldn't have gone, and he knows that...if you love each other as much as you say you do, no risk is to high for you to overcome, and I have faith in that..."

IC: Kelly just hmphed, and sat down, feeling woozy. You just wait until Joshua makes *you* pregnant
