Don't wanna join, but I maintain good relations with everybody, so I'm sending an ambassador to the Cold Alliance.

I like the idea, I really do, and I might consider joining (despite my leaders all looking like utter bastards, they really are anti-heroes) if there was no future-tech/fantasy involved.
