Aqua Nation Atlantica would like to announce the development of the
Squee Na-Quee Powered Armour system for the uplifted Dolphin population.

Squee Na-Quee

The musculature systems on the armour provide a 50% increase ot a dolphins speed, while the artificial muscles reduce the dolphins fatigue by 75%

The Power systems for the armour are high capacity battey fuel cells using a hydrogen gel, each battery is good for 12 hours running time, with 4 batteries stored in redundancy sockets.
The batteries also provide heat to the underlay enviroment body suit.

Oxygen is provided by an osmatic membrane system, similiar to the one used in the Human form Dragonfish armour.

Additional systems include:-
1) hardened armour peircing tungsten Nose covering for ramming.
2) Noise filtering randome over the forehead area to filter out noise and enhance the dolphins own echo location system.
3)Computer navigation system programmed to mesh with the dolphins own inate abilities.
4)Maximum depth capability 4000 meters.
5) two under-fin mounts for variable equipment, ranging from sensor systems, manipulator arms to Sliver Dart Spear Rifles

Oooooh, fancy.

Mind you, now I am forced to begin check-ups on all Dolphins within my waters.

Well, they WERE complaining about not being armoured like the humans in my nation!

Artificial muscles? Oh, i see, Steroids. Seriously, this is a ridiculous claim. Muscles need to be attached to a structural element (bone) in order to do anything. Otherwise when they contract nothing happens except the muscle moving. Ie, they exert no force cause the other end of the muscle just twitches and doesnt move whatever load its supposed to bear. Also not sure bone can take the stresses you are talking about.

There are also difficulties involved in the fluid dynamics of moving as fast as you are claiming for something that is dolphin shaped since they must cross the air/water interface to breathe.

Despite its physical impossibility, could someone inform me how hydrogen gel acts as a power source? Actually no, just tell me what hydrogen gel is supposed to be, because it defies all of my chemistry intuition.

Oxygen is provided by an osmatic membrane system, similiar to the one used in the Human form Dragonfish armour.

i don't think we can let you use any technology involving osmotic devices if you can't spell it properly. And why would you want water in the muscle cells anyway? You do know what osmosis is, right?

But seriously, muscle is too thick for passive diffusion to work. Only the top cell layer will get any oxygen, which i presume is the goal. Further, oxygen is probably in too low of concentrations relative to muscle oxygen demand for this to work well even if you could supply oxygen to all the cells. Eg, passive diffusion involves equilibrating concentrations, and O2 concentrations in the ocean are far below O2 demands (represented as concentration of O2 in blood).

Additional systems include:-

owww... the poor dolphin. I'd check those bone stress tolerances if i were you. Objects tend to fail at their weakest point. Ie, you don't put a good lock on a piece of crap door, a would-be thief will just break the door. Similarly, the dolphin is not sturdy enough for armor piercing, so the nose is irrelevant.

2) Noise filtering randome over the forehead area to filter out noise and enhance the dolphins own echo location system.

Given the nature of acoustics under water, i'd say this is silly if not disadvantageous. All 'noise' the dolphin would hear is likely useful information.

3)Computer navigation system programmed to mesh with the dolphins own inate abilities.

innate abilities? uh... what? I guarantee you can't program a computer to interact with a dolphin, at least not one with a button smaller than a beach ball.

4)Maximum depth capability 4000 meters.

Though the dolphin's depth capability is something like 200m. And given your osmotic membrane, that thing cannot be pressure sealed. Not to mention it isn't large enough to be pressure sealed even if you wanted it to be. And given the nature of its moving parts, pressure sealing would be nigh impossible.

5) two under-fin mounts for variable equipment, ranging from sensor systems, manipulator arms to Sliver Dart Spear Rifles

because dolphins have grasping hands to change the mounted equipment...

Ok.. lets see if we can address these issues..

1) the artificial muscle is not attatched to the dolphin in anyway, its the systems that move the armour.

2) As to breathing, that is an entirely self contained system that sperates the oxygen from the water. the Osmatic membrane.

3) Hydrogen gel is just basicaly hydrogen and oxygen contained in a gel for safety, these are used in the Fuel Cell Battery to create electricity and heat.

4)Hmm Osomosis would be the passage of water from one enviroment to another, right? well Osmatic is just a name coined for the system that swaps oxygen for carbon dioxide during that passage. As to spelling, let those ho are not guilty cast the first stone, plus, I dont beielve it is your right to state what i can and cannot use in this rather broad Universe of Nation States.

5)Noses, I believe I have read somewhere of dolphins raming predators to kill them, look on the hardened nose section as being braced to prevent additional damage to the dolphin.

6) its a voice or squeek activated HUD GPS system.

7)Why not?? oxygen seperated can be stored in canisters, and released to the dolphin under preasure.

8 ) grasping hands.. yup.. option two on the list actually.

Well, now i have cleared that up to my satisfaction Ill add this..
this is an RP Nation State.. there are states out there that have anti grav, Vampires and God knows what else.. this one is supposed to be future tech with sentient dolphins .. think about this.

Nice post ANA I see the knockers have already had a go, nice to see your answers polite & well thought out.

Remember people that this is all RP stuff & not real life (I mean why play NS if not to get away from that stuff?)
