Sigma Octavus expands to the stars

Sigma Octavus

The nation of Sigma Octavus has begun production on it's first warship in space. Our very own PWI will be building the craft itself. The SOSC Moonlight Shadow. Not much can be released about the ship at this time, but the design specs were used in a graphics program to simulate what the final product will look like.

This ship is designed to get a SOET landing craft where it needs to go safely, and is equipped with four such landing craft.

The ship will house between 100-350 SOET at all times.

Construction of the ship is set to end in 5 years (days)

(I didn't make the pics.)

We aren't even sure you can launch vessels into space from Earth anymore. Last news we got from earth, you couldn't see the stars down there. You could only see the moon because of how bright it is due to all the cities on it's surface. Good luck finding a cubic millimeter of space to claim.

We are aware of the massive amount of space fairing nations, but hey, this is in case I ever have to fight them. And there's gotta be some part of space left. Also, the ship is being built in orbit.

The Five Civilized Nations would like to congratulate Sigma Octavus on this new development... We wonder if we could provide any financial or techanical assistance. We are opening the March Naval Yards orbiting Mars to your vessels for repair and refitting, if you require... In addition, you will have access to the many naval bases and yards scattered throughout the universe.

May your journey of discovery and colonization be forever fruitful...

OOC: What happened to the LXGL thread?

OOC: It looks like one of those little hard drives you carry around in your pocket... sorta.

Anyway, welcome to space! Will you being staying in system or developing FTL?

To FCN: We thank you for the offer of assistance building the ship, but we want it to be a landmark of Sigma Octavus technology. We have plenty of funds. Also, we would like to thank you and accept the offer to allow us to use your docks.

(OOC: It died.)

To Crimmond:We will be staying in system. The ship isn't built to travel long distances. (And I will always be a ground pounder.)
