UN Region Needed
We need a UN region or a UN-friendly region. We have applied for the UN and are almost there. We also are waiting a bit for our nation to develop. We need a safe region. We will try to be good roleplayers and send peacekeepers to war-torn nations.
Sincerely,
Elite General Fredrick von Ulrich
Go to the region of:
The Kingdom of the Midlands
In our region, we happen to be recruiting. We do protection if any Midlands member is invaded, but war[mongering] is not tollerated. We are UN-friendly, though not all members of our region are UN members. Euroslavia, our founder and delegate, is very friendly (which counts more than you think).

I'm sure you'll get lots of replies to this! :) Have a look at the sticky thread at the top of the forum index which lists the large to medium nations in various categories, you may find it helpful.
If you're looking at a few regions, you may want to check out Urbanites (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_region/region=urbanites), where I've just become delegate. (That should be a link.)
We're medium-sized, 50-60 nations - some UN, some not. We're allied with 3 other regions, and enjoy the occasional defensive sally, as some of our members (including those currently travelling abroad) are very active role-players. If you're interested, feel free to telegram me with any questions.
If you want you can come to my region, anarchy island.
EDIT for more info: We're a pretty small region, but quickly growing, there are 15 nations (about) now, and all 15 have come within the past few weeks. We're mostly not as much anarchic as very left-wing, liberal, or maybe anarcho-socialist, but anyway, as far as UN goes, none of us are opposed to the UN (I'm very pro-UN myself, and actually I am delegate) There are many of us who are in teh UN, and some who are trying, and some who don't really care so much. I hope you;ll come check us out!
White Lotus Eaters,
Your region looks good. I'll join.
Sincerely,
Elite General Fredrick von Ulrich
