The Queendom of The Seven Oysters

OVERVIEW

The Seven Oysters is a strict dictatorship run by Awala Treola. Military is considered highly important, seeing as it is the best way to keep people in line.

Motto- "If you're not dead, be happy"

GEOGRAPHY

The Seven Oysters is a fairly large island nation, located in the Atlantic Ocean.

Climate- Tropical with a semi-arid region in its center

Resources- The Seven Oysters natural resources include gold, coal, and forests. All resources are the immediate property of the government, and all citizens are required by law to help in the mining are cutting process.

GOVERNMENT

Law- Law is controlled directly by the government. The military doubles as the police force, and have pretty much the right to do what they want, as long as it does not interfere with the upper government.
Most any anti-government activities are illegal. Here is a short list of laws:
Eating meat
Voting
Breaking curfew
Reading unauthorized material
Talking about unauthorized ideas
Stealing
Murder
Not reporting suspicious persons

Military- Military service is compulsory and begins at age 15 (age 12 for children of criminal parents.) Government officials are exempt from this.
Military technology consists of modern weapons, such as tanks and missiles. We are currently trying to gain nuclear capabilities.

ECONOMY

Basic info- The Seven Oyster Dollar is called the Payoto. We have a "thriving" economy.

Business- All businesses are required to hand over their profits to the government, who then return 5% back to them.
There is no minimum wage, but there is a maximum wage of ten dollars an hour.
At age 8, children are required to do some sort of work, along with their education.
People who are no longer able to work are euthanized.

Taxes- Taxes are currently at 25%.

Private Sector- Gambling is the only legal private sector allowed in The Seven Oysters.

ENVIROMENT

The Seven Oysters have some enviromental laws, mostly thinly veiled ways to keep people in line and make money.

MEDIA

The Seven Oysters have only two forms of government controlled media.

TV- "Seven Vision" plays 24 hour news of the countries most important stories.

Newspaper- "The Seven Oysters Government Paper" informs people of pretty much the same info thats on Seven Vision.
