Due to the glut of piss poor things to say about other countries that people seem to be concerned with, I'm starting a thread. The topic is this:

Things I love about other countries.

I'll start by saying that the literacy rate in Iceland should be an example for the rest of us on the globe.

I love French wine.
Italian fashion.
Summer time in Greece.
The Blue Ridge Mountains in the United States.
Japan's kick ass maglev trains.
Great Britain for so much good rock and roll.
and last but not least,
Iraq, for all the free oil.


JUST KIDDING. I had to say that.

Seriously though. What do you love the most about the places you've been?

Never been outside the US, but I must say that I'd love to visit Canada and Australia.

No one has ANYTHING good to say about somewhere other than where they live? Pretend it's an anti-American post, but instead you have to say something nice about another country.

Montreal's a good place to visit, especially in July where there's a Just for Laughs festival every year downtown, near the docks.

Italy- Food, wine, cheese
Spain- Sangria, girls
Monaco- not much
France- The tiny town of Sete (for wonderful hospitality)
Gibraltar- Pubs and Cuban cigars
Morocco- Dates
Tunisia- the ruins of Carthage
Malta- Food, pubs, girls
Egypt- the pyramids, Sphinx
Israel- Food, girls
Greece- Gyros, girls, Ouzo
Turkey- Just about everything, but especially Doner Kebap
Rumania- Wine, lace, crystal
Bulgaria- Kadarka wine, girls
Ukraine- Vodka, girls
Russia- Vodka, girls
Georgia- Champagne
Albania- Skanderbou cognac
Croatia- Food, girls
Slovenia- Food, wine
Germany- Beer, food, wine
Portugal- Wine
Bahamas- Music, food, liquor, girls
Mexico- Food, music
Panama- Just about everything
