Thermonuclear Devices

As supreme dictator of MrNonchalant I'm looking for the lowest bidding contractor state or corporate entity to supply a considerable demand for high quality nuclear weapons within our nation. As a nation with a $367,434,495,000 current defense budget (just 10% of the government's total budget), as verified by independant analysis (http://www.pipian.com/stuffforchat/gdpcalc.php?nation=Mrnonchalant&defenseprovided=1&defense=10&militarybudget=1) we can well afford to make this critical step in the defense of our homeland. This move is to ensure national stability and make invasion of our nation unthinkable to attempt. We have our own arms industry and would prefer to develope this arsenal in-nation but if we can find a more suitable deal elsewhere we will not hesitate to persue it. Please note that we will be testing (read: detonating) a percentage of randomly chosen warheads and inspecting every last one. If the devices do not live up to our full expectations (99% or better success ration, no hidden safeguards or backdoors, etc) we will consider using a few on the cheapskate state that sold us them or at the very least ruining their chances of making future such deals and imposing economic sanctions across the board.

We urge all nations to refuse. Nuclear proliferation is a danger to the international community, and cannot be allowed to continue unchecked.

We urge all nations to refuse. Nuclear proliferation is a danger to the international community, and cannot be allowed to continue unchecked. On the contrary nuclear proliferation has been one of the great stabilizing factors of the modern era. It keeps world peace more effectively than the UN ever could. It is not like we're a rogue state either, we posess and care for 1.478 billion inhabitants and my government is called by independant sources "a mostly-benevolent dictatorship."

The price and global reach of your Freedom vehicles is very attractive, but we'll wait to see all offers before making our decision.

Excellent. However, the nation of MrNonchalant generally values quality over price. In particular we'd love to see a model that can hit over 12,450.775 miles or 20,037.58 kilometers away. That's half the circumference of the earth at the equator. Which means our reach would be earthwide, only space-based nations would be immune from instant retaliation.

I understand, and if you look at our storefront, most of our customers praise us because of the high quality of our military equipment that we make. Some of which have been taken into combat and have performed marvelously which keeps nations coming back for more. And with our random discounts, you get more for your dollar, high quality+ super low prices, ya cant beat it

The Empire of the Eternal Dawn (in line with long-standing policy) absolutely condemns the proliferation of any weapons of mass destruction, and notes that any nation furthering the proliferation of those weapons is simply asking for trouble.

Athamasha believes that if every country has nukes, no one will use them. MAD, doncha know. So we'll sell you some of our ultra-reliable SagittaDivina-3 ICBMs. Our asking price is 400 million USD per missle, you can get a warhead from someone else.

The Eredronian Senate of Majorities has began debate over possible actions to be taken against nations that involve themselves in this reckless proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, with key senators calling for economic sanctions and embargoes, as well as ending diplomatic ties and recognition with said nations.

The Consul Supreme has taken no official stance on the issue.

We agree with Athamasha. Our purchase of nuclear weapons is a deterrance mechanism. Nobody will ever risk invading us. What kind of range do those have Athamasha?

FAO Foreign Sectaries,

Allow me to make a modest statement on the ways in which Nuclear Weapons make the world a safer place.

However before I continue let it be known that ImperlisticPrussia affirms its belief in Democracy and does not at this time possess Nuclear Weapons.

There are several pre-requisites for Nukes to ensure peace 1. A hardened second strike ability 2. Safely stored nukes. 3. Security from the possibility of rouge use by terrorists, a rouge commander.

To all of these I argue that States will do this very easily.

1. This need not be difficult. It can be achieved by having planes, subs, and ICBM/IMF SRBM which are strategically and secretly located. A second strike exists when the enemy (attacker) cannot be sure they will knock out all nuclear forces. Even if they hit 95pc of them, the other five pc are sure to be fired at major targets, civilian and military. What price is worth this--- none. Nukes fundamentally changes warfare as in a conventional war countries do a cost benefit of going to war v’s expected outcomes. In a Nuclear war this is to miss the point since even the destruction of one city makes attacking a very poor option. Pakistan and India fought 4 wars before they were both nuclear—they have fought none while they are both Nuke powers

2 and 3. States will do this since they do not want to be blamed for a nuclear use that they did not do. It is therefore in their interests to protect their nuclear arsenals they protect them well

HOW THIS STOPS WAR

1. Wars fought to increase land for the purposes of defence e.g. Israel is not needed since missile technology makes defence in depth obsolete
2. Countries balance expected gains v’s projected losses. If this could be most of the country then they are more likely to not fight
3. They stop arms races because one sides advances do not render the destructive power of the others missiles obsolete
4. Wars of the ultimate intensity are by their nature uncertain. The military and government do not like uncertainty and therefore are less likely to go to war.
5. Since the will to use is greater on the defence you can e sure of a full retaliation

We therefore support the acquisition of the ultimate weapons

Eredron is not necessarily opposed to the possession of nuclear weapons; rather, it is the selling and trading of weapons of mass destruction that bothers us.
