What are the most apropriate, amusing, or otherwise interesting names you've seen someone give their nation's ships(space, naval or whatever; any craft really)?

I'd have to nominate the Iansislian destroyer HIMS Arabian Oryx, because I imagine he (Ianslisle) would be miffed if no one mentioned her (the Arabian Oryx).
..I am quite partial to HIMS Hippopotamus too, while we're on the subject of Iansislian destroyers.

HMWS Quixotic has something that appeals to me...I hope you'll forgive me, but it does have a quite Walmingtonian ring to it :D
I also believe that Beth Gellert runs a frigate named CS Ood...heh.
Oh, and I was quite fond of HMWS Iansisle ;)...shame she's not about any more.)

She (Iansisle) at least made a fair account of herself, I hope. Not many warships refitted to pretend they weren't a generation behind the times would have lasted long against Bismarck, Graf Heydrech and Prinz Eugen. She was unlucky not to sink Eugen (a name I've always liked the sound of), I think.
..But really now I'm just looking for excuses to keep me at the PC in avoidance of actually preparing food.
Something angry / warmongering always sounds good... like Unrelenting or Vengeful.
Well, if you are playing a non-English speaking nation, (Thelas' mian language is Sindarin) you can just use words from said language. (Thelas uses Acharn, Morchant, several people use German)
Well. I would refer yall to our own carriers recently deployed in the Falkland conflict.
The TNS Bring It On, the Come and Get It. And the Minelayer Stuff It.... All named after famous cries of defiance against agressors in our great nation's history, failed defiance, but admirable nonetheless. :wink:
