Establishing the peace (attn SR, semi closed RP)
A Lapsian ambassador steps out of an armoured plane which recently landed in the capital of SR. He was coming from Bristle, to establish peace and understanding between the two nations. He walked up to the armoured transport that would take him to his hotel room in the city. The ambassador was a male, called Jace Paol and was 37 years old. He was credited with been the best negotiater in Lapse and had recently helped lapse calm down the terrorist group, the krakuniens from their terror rampage in Lapse. He had far more experience than that though. Until he was 28 he had served in the armed forces and was a master of unarmed combat, a skill he was likely to need in the streets of SR.
His mission in SR was to establish peace between his home region Bristle and their long time associate SR control. Around 150 years ago the nations had been friends, before the peace was broken in an anger driven attack on SR by Lapse, which the nation had regreted sicerely since. The war soon ceased between the two nations when they formed a somewhat shaky alliance against a former ally of SR called Jedi revolutionists, who at the time attempted to force the nation into building nuclear weapons. The two nations formed an alliance for approximatly 2 years before once again the alliance broke down in a cloud of corruptness. After this a large cold war formed between the nations, in which both nations aqquired nuclear weapons and were prepared to use them. This lasted around a decade before Jedi revolutionists once again and stepped in and called the two nations to peace with a bite of reality. For many decades ater this the two nations were hostile owards each other but still seperate. After that Lapse had invited SR into an alliance, which they both lived in for many decades, before SR left for a few years when a time of hostilityies followed until SR rejoined a number of years later. After this the alliance was shaky and around a decade later the alliance fell apart. Since that time the two regions had being somewhat hostile but still hadnt had a war. This mission would decide wether they were allies or enemies in the future
Soldant read the papers, and re-read them again. The elite Striker units standing around the office watched nervously, their Steyr Augs clutched nervously. The Intel officer was also there, fiddling with something on his desk. He shared an office with Soldant until his was repaired after some idiot accidently chucked a grenade in during a training excercise. He scanned the papers, checking for anything that signaled a sabotarge event. Finally Soldant looked at the intel officer.
"Why did Lapse do this?"
The intel officer didn't take his eyes off the papers.
"No idea sir. He just... did."
Soldant continued to scan. The Striker's squad leader cleared his throat.
"Sir, we're waiting."
Soldant looked at them again.
"Yes, yes, of course, your orders. Maintain a tight guard around this building, make sure you watch the ambassador VERY closely. We've got other units covering the secret and military installations. And the records?"
"Cleared sir. Anything that the ambassador could get into we don't want him to get into, has been moved to a secure location or destroyed."
"Good, good. Well, I suppose we wait. Two of you stand in this room, and watch for threats. There's a minibar over there, help yourselves."
Two Strikers eye the minibar with interest, one of them immedieately focuses his eyes on the huge stack of Coke sitting next to it.
"Well, that'll be all. Dismissed, except for you two."
The two Strikers who were eyeing the minibar smile happily... before proceeding to raid the minibar.
An intercom sounds.
"Sir, the ambassador has arrived."
"Wow, this actually works. Where is the talk button?"
Soldant bashes every button, eventally giving up and walking outside.
"Send him in."
The ambassador walked into the office, his brief case held in his right hand. He was nervous and had seen a large military presence around SR, alot more than he would have suspected in peacetime. It didnt really matter, if they attempted anything against him the Lapse government would react immediatly. He was just there to forge a peace treaty between the regions, nothing more. His two personal guards, stayed in the reception area too ensure the dictator of SR they had secured a meeting with wouldnt feel threatened in any way.
As he walked in the ambassador noticed two Strikers standing in the corner clutching their weapons shifting their eyes to the mini bar to the side of the room. It became obvious that the leader of SR expected espionage from him, and was cautious about the meeting. He was invited to take a seat which he promptly sat down in.
The ambassador was not a man of small talk which often caused people to respect him so he got straight too the point
"Good day Soldant. I come from the government of Lapse to ask for peace between our two regions, Bristle and Sr control. We have an excellent offer and we hope you will accept it"
"GET OUTTA MY OFFICE!" shouted Soldant, and the two Strikers moved forward.
"NO! He's the ambassador!"
"Oh." The Strikers went back to the minibar, now retreving whatever was inside.
"Office? Oh yeah, office. No wait, I mean... offer?"
Everyone stopped. One of the Strikers dropped a Coke.
"Aww now look what you did! Ah well. Cleaner! Anyway about this offer. What kind of offer? This better not be a "Gimmie all your oil or we nuke you till you puke radioactive slime agreement!"
The Intel officer nodded. A cleaner bustled in and started to clean the Coke, while the Strikers decided to leave the minibar alone and guard the door... for the time being.
"Anyway, best to speak now, while I'm still in a good mood."
"Honoured Soldant, the offer i bring can only be discussed in complete silence, if word got out about this then your nation may dissolve into troubles. We do not want to threaten your nation in any way but before i can discuss this i must ask that you ask your soldiers to leave the room. "
He gestured towards the two strikers over in the corner
"If i was here to assasinate you i could do it just as well whether your guards are in here or not. I do not plan to assasinate you, If you do not believe me you could hook me up to a lie detector. But for the sake of both of our nations we must not let word of our agreement or dis-greement get out"
Soldant sits and think for a bit.
"Ok, we'll go with the lite detector!"
The intel officer steps in.
"Oh come on, just get rid of the soldiers."
Soldant looks at the Strikers, who look upset, occasionally glancing at the minibar.
"Fine. Go, but you can take what you want from the minibar."
The soldiers make off with a couple of cokes and a lot of food.
"Alright, lets hear this out."
The ambassador was strapped into the lie detector without complaint. He had nothing to fear from the results, he was In SR purely for peace. He wouldnt come too this cess pool for anyother reason. He wanted to put a stop to the hostilities between the two nations. and this could not be solved with violence
The test was finished, with Soldant looking dissapointed.
"Damn. Ok, get rid of the execution equipment."
A guy who had been hiding under a desk raced away with a gun.
"Alright, lets talk."
Now the two individuals were in complete isolation from everyone else, The ambassador put forward his proposal.
"We at lapse would like to form a pemanent peace treaty with your nation and region. Icluded in this alliance would be new trade routes and other mutualy benifiting ideas. As you know our nations have often had peace, if only for short periods of time. During those times, the citizens in our nations were much happier, and our nations were wealthier and stronger. Continued hostilities will only harm us both. Our proposition for a peace treaty, is not a mutual protection treaty, it is just a cessation of hostilities. We are each allowed to keep weapons which may have previously been considered a threat to each other, we will not force you to disarm."
After pausing for a while, the ambassador brought a contract out of his breifcase.
"This document Is a large outline of the treaty I am trying to get us to sign. Modifications can be made, until we reach a treaty that is agreeable to both parties. I will leave this document with you to read and consider, If you agree to this It will be great, if not It may take some weeks to negotiate a suitable treaty. I will return in two days time to continue the negotiations."
The ambassador handed Soldant the 23 page document
"Uh huh."
Soldant looked at the paper.
"I can't sign this. It must be approved by the ministers, or at least Terra. INTERCOM!"
The intercom sounded.
"Sir just push the little button."
Soldant pushed the little button.
"GET ME TERRA!"
"Right away sir."
Soldant looked at the amabassador.
(edit)
"Nevermind"
Soldant looked at the ambassador.
"He sure does dress funny..." Soldant thought as the ambassador walked out. "And he smells of disinfectant."
OOC: uhrr.. sr, he was thinking it was a cess pool, there was no way for you to know

Emperor El' Jonson, reclined in his office, the window shades drawn closed. The massive video monitor on his right wall, normally filled with important government-related things, was currently displaying his late night animes. After that cabinet meeting, and the damn fundraiser, he needed the entertainment. Suddenly, a message box appeared in the upper right corner of the screen. Sighing as he turned on his TIVO unit to record the rest of the TV show, he accepted the call.
In his massive hexagonal room, two more sides of it slid open, and another duo of immense Plasma TVs popped out and linked up with the middle one on either side, creating a screen roughly 80 feet wide. The screen quickly divided in two, and his anime show resumed on the rightside of the screen. Lion allowed a small smile to creep onto his face as he marvelled at the technology that allowed him to watch his favorite TV shows and have conversations with world leaders at the same time.
"Ah, Commander Soldant! What time is it over there, I was just catching some latenight TV." he said, trying to divert his attention between the TV show and the leader of SR Control. "Anything I can do for you today, Commander?"
"Uh, I don't know what time it is, my watch is, er, broken. Anyway, some Lapse ambassador guy just came in here requesting peace! PEACE! Of all things, peace! I don't want to sign anything without the backing of SRC, and everyone seems to have gone on holiday or something-"
Soldant looks off screen for a minute.
"Yes... yes... uh huh... ok get rid of him. Sorry about that, some classified people- ah i mean material was lying around. Anyway you're the only person I can get ahold of, what do you think?"
Behind Soldant, a man was being dragged away by two armed soldiers.
"Ignore him. Anyway... what do you think we should do?"
