Here I lay, tattered and torn
All my clothes have been worn
Now as I lay up here
I miss all the things I hold dear
Yet, by me, my father, my brother
And my very caring mother
A poor mining family we be
Brought up here on an LO-3
How I miss my planet Earth
I remember digging in its dirt
But in a colony, I must stay
Until this war passes away
Wars come and wars go
As my nation’s history to you will show
The generic quarters are so bare
How I wish I was down there
The swaying trees
And rolling seas
This colony is ‘perfect’
But I don’t think it’s really worth it
There’s not enough water to take a bath
No one up here can make me laugh
Outer space is quite dreary
Especially to the poor and weary
I should be proud, I guess
That with others my nation must contest
To bring about a marvelous change
And the balance of power, rearrange
I miss my friends, my home too
Visiting the park, and the zoo
But they say, ‘All good things must come to an end’
Out of this tragedy, something good shall transcend
Now I must be going
My name you’ll never be knowing
Until the time is ready…
OOC: Well... I hope that was descriptive enough, I don't think very many of the other posts in this thread will be full poems. If you couldn't tell, it's a poor old minin' boy, who's family was evacuated from Earth to the colonies.
Questions? Comments? Thanks Treznor for telling me what was wrong with my RP overall :P
