IC: Burkina Faso will be dispatching a small amount of peacekeeping forces to unoccupied Cuba to keep order after the abrupt departure of Drum Godian forces from the island, which we welcome despite the mysteriousness of their leave. The detachment will number no more than 300 soldiers and 30 civilian observers, who will be there to assure the process of electing a free, independant civilian government is done honestly and free of outside interferance. As Cuba has been a friend of the Burkinabe Revolution prior to the Drum Gods conquest, it would not be right of us to allow its people to be vulnerable to foreign bondage in this state of transition.

Um, they do also speak very good->ok->tourist english in Havana, and a good bit of indigious french in some areas. And I think that I should get Cuba, because I've been there, and have had to read my dad's books on it. And I have a previous claim from an old war against the guy that got Ignored into oblivion.

No one has 70,000 defensive positions "pop" into existance.

THe Thelasian Third Fleet departed from Thelas, aboard were 20,000 troops, and 2,000 K-Mag assualt units, their mission was to claim the now empty territories of Saudi Arabia.

In the Air, a fleet of transports left Thelas, flying ahead of the battle fleet, the transports carried some 2,000 paratroopers with equipment and supplies. They were to be dropped into the Saudi lands ahead of the Gra-Fleet, and to eliminate any resistance, and to capture the capitol cities airport.

The defensive positions thing was in a war against DG, everyone complained about it and it got lost to ignores by the time it was at page 5ish. He did it, not us.

I would like to RP as the gov't of cuba, and actually have a puppet under the name of FreeCuba that I'll do it as. DNS however, will grant protectorate status to Cuba, and set up some tourist stuff there.

Allright then. How about this: I'll set up a thread for the elections FBF plants to institute, and you'll control the Cuban population and the results for the most part, and the resulting government. Who has IC influence or control of Cuba (which nation, not which player) will be determined by whatever happens later in the RP. In truth, FBF and President Sankara probably won't have much of a problem with DNS influence since it's suitably leftist and most likely to continue many of Castro's revolutionary policies of social equality and the like that Sankara admired Castro and the Cuban revolutionary movement for.

We vote that the current territories that were oppressed under the rule of Drum Gods to be granted independence. Of course, freedom is not a thought in the minds of any of you. Shame on you all.

The puppet government of DG has collapsed totally, with their remaining military units fleeing the country after local militias rose up to oust them. Havana is ruled by anarchy, but suprisingly there is little looting, most of which is dying out after the old local communist guards, disbanded after takeover by DG, reclaim their weapons(mostly AK-47's) and take up their old posts on streetcorners. They have temporarily set up headquarters in the old Russian embassy, long considered a mar on Havana's skyline.

DNS has landed peacekeepers in the old American Interest section of the Swedish embassy, and is using translators and diplomats to keep track of the population. They are beginning to spread posters of a town hall meeting to be held at the Tribuna Abierta(outdoor rally area pointing at the American interest section, set up by Castro, but no suprise there).

Taking full advantage of the collapse of the Drum Gods government, several Copiosa Scotian corporations have bought out competitors in Drum Gods at very low prices.

If that's the logic you will all follow, then I lay claim to all the trolls that posted on the forums and were subsequently deleted. Plus I lay claim to nations belonging to long time roleplayers but whom are now no longer here, such as Nanakaland and Kitsylvania. Now doesn't that sound damned ridiculous?

We are not particularly saddened by the abrupt disappearance of the nation of Drum Gods. Quite frankly, their reputation preceeded them. In any case, we are...dismayed at the massive land grab the disappearance has apparently caused.

Let it be known that the region of Earth known as France is a quasi-protectorate of the Imperial Commonwealth of Khenala, and we are aiding the reconstruction of that nation after its decimation by the forces of Mishakal.

Any attempt at seizure of French land or attack on French forces will be regarded as a hostile act, and the forces of the Imperial Commonwealth will act accordingly. In an effort to prevent any military action, we ask that all nations respect the soverignity of the French.

Meanwhile in FreeCuba, FBF peacekeepers on the streets of Havana are helping to maintain some semblance of order, aiding the Communist militias in street patrols and organizing their numbers. Military and diplomatic representatives of the Burkinabe troops have attempted to meet with DNS forces to establish communication and cooperation between the two, so as not to step on each other's toes. The peacekeepers are interested in knowing if Drum Gods left behind any useful materials in its hasty retreat, such as military arms or nonmilitary equipment that could be of use in eventually rebuilding a national army and infrastructure.

In the rural communities, mostly not too far outside Havana, small bands of peacekeepers travel between villages and observe and report on the state of order and government there, often finding that communities have taken it upon themselves already to informally elect local ruling councils. Reports are sent back to both Burkinabe and DNS forces to help let them know of developements outside the capital.

A loud scream of pain brought the total extinction of B Company 1st Platoon, their numbers cut to nothingness as the unstoppable tide of Orcs broke through the left flank now that there was no surviving Brittanians to defend. To his right F Company were being savaged, and though he strained he saw no surviving Command colours within the battling group, only a handful of youthful privates, whose lives were to be extinguished on this land of pure evil.

Now up to his knees within the water the General reeled as he fought one, two, three Orcs simultanously, his personnal entourage gone. His vision passed over the bloodied corpse of his Comm officer, pistol still in had, his gut totally eviscerated. With a grunt he sent his Saber through the skull of an aggressor, before booting it to the ground, and dispatching his accomplice.

Taking a breath brought to him via the lack of Greenskins able to advance due to their crushing size, he looked to the corpse littered ground. A hint of blue and red attracting his attention.

On the ground, still clutched by the severed arm of its holder, the Command Company Standard lay. Dirtied, bloodied and torn, but intact.

Bringing his shoe into contact with the forehead of another Orc, he stumbled forwards, on to the shore and retrieved it. His heart swelled with pride as he slowly swung the Banner upright.

For what seemed like an eternity the fighting stopped. Greenskins paused, the bright colours of the Banner registering on their blood crazed minds, and the beleagured Brittanians shocked by its reamergence.

And then the cries started.

"For Brittania!"

"For Freedom!"

"For All!"

Scott and the rememnants of 1st Attack Wave, Warfleet Alpha ploughed into the Orcs anew, storming from the water to meet their savage foes in glorious battle.

Left and right Orcs fell, gutted, eveciserated, Decaptiated.

But gradually the Brittanians dwindled, no amount of inspiration changing the fact they were outnumbered twenty to one.

Scott was forced to the ground beneath five of the foul Orcs even as he fractured the skull of one and gutted another, his cries of inspiration contuing until a crude Battleaxe crushed his skull against the watery rocks of the bay.




Eventually the last of the Brittanians fell.

Landing Point No. 35 was lost.
