Virgin Atlantic, owned by Virgin, is seeking to raise up to $1.6 billion USD by issueing bonds.
There is a oversubscribtion acceptance limit of an extra $400m, taking the total to $2bn if demand is high.
Virgin Atlantic has recently expanded into Nationstates and has established itself successfully in many nations all around the world as a cut-price airline.
Interest of 6.5% p.a is paid yearly, and the bonds will be repaid in 15 years.
Virgin Atlantic is rated at BBB by Standard and Poor's.
