Is GDODAD still around? If so, where? How can I contact them. I was hoping to join this organization, but I'm not sure if it still exists. Is the once mighty GDODAD dead?
no it is very much alive, contact silver turtle about it,

What is GDODAD?
A funny organisation in my opinion. One i was inclined to join but decided it was to silly to.
It also one that will probably be the basis of yet a anouther WW...

True, true. But to newer players that know something of NS history, GDODAD has become....legend. Anyway, I wonder if we'll ever see a war between GDODAD and The Reich? Hmmm.

I'm betting the Reich would hand GDODAD's asses over to them on a plate.
That is, if the war didn't collapse within ten pages due to rampant godmodding and inability for people not to powergame.

Indeed? Why do you think so?

That's how wars go.
As far as the Reich winning, just a hunch.

Oh, I thought you were basing your opinion on something more than a hunch. Never mind then.
From what I have heard, the GDODAD is just sitting around, waiting till SATO and the CACE nuke each other into pieces, and once that is done, say hello to a much strong GDODAD.

Really? Sounds like a good strategy. I heard that someone actually invaded The Underwater Bubble and ejected Silver Turtle. Is that true?

LLast I heard. the UWB has been abandoned, but TST being ejected, I doubt that.

It's debatable whether the Reich in its current state could hope to win a war against anyone. There are maybe four active members, most of them are fairly small, and all their really good members (except Iesus) are either inactive or have left the alliance. Iesus himself has a lot of sheer strength, but he also has the tactical skills of a random rock. Most of the world is content to let the Reich sit within its borders and maintain its delusions of supremacy.
As to SATO and CACE nuking each other to pieces, such a conflict would not appreciably weaken SATO, and even CACE has gone on record admitting such. The best they could really hope to do would be to create minor inconveniences and a few moral dilemmas.

No, by that time I'd already moved to the CoE to take over the delegate position. Some crashers did invade, but they left before I could use my omnipotent long-reaching founder powers to boot 'em.
*continues standing there looking big, waiting for someone to tell the newer players who I am 'cos I've done it so many times I can't be bothered*

Well, then it seems to be a stalemate. It will be interesting to observe how this situation unfolds over the coming months.
What I am saying is, if a full out conflict happened between SATO and CACE, it would be fairly even, SATO would be weakend, but even Menelamcar might be cleaning up wreakage. SATO itself as many inactive members, it has active members yes, but they would be targeted in a strike.
I know Menelmacar has anti-missile systems, but hundreds of nuclear weapons trying to hit Menelmacar, at least one or two will get through, and one fifty mega-tone weapon will do a LOT of damage.
It would end the way a US-USSR war would have, both alliances severly damaged, and other alliances would smell blood on the victor. SATO would win, but in the long run, a resurgent GDODAD for instance, would rise up and defete it.
Remember what happened to the Dominion after the Shadow War, SATO would lose respect, and in a world this massive, a loss of respect could mean a total loss of power.

Someone tried to ubernuke Menelmacar once, ~1600 ICBM's, the missiles were all stopped. And that was back in the day, the grid's been built up since then.

~SiriSounds sort of like us. We've had about 3000 nuclear weapons fired at us over the course of three wars. Not one ever struck it's target city. The slagged wrekage did kill a few cows though, pissing off the Hindu population.

I'm suprised the countryside hasn't become irradiated then, after having that radioactive material crashing down in the ground.

Sorry, but as far as I'm concerned, this is Godmod. Like it or not, no matter what kind of umbrella you have, if 3000 nukes are fired at your country, at least one will reach its target. There's no such thing as 100% accuracy. Even if your accuracy is 99%, 1 out of 100 will reach their target. That means that at least 30 of 3000 would touch down.

Well....that's understandable. This is what comes of the uneducated possessing a nuclear arsenal. They spend all the money they can producing nukes they don't know how to use while their people starve. Tragic.....quite tragic.
