A NS Beastiary?

30-11-2003, 20:19
Now while this may be an OOC post, it is related to NS.

Right, so I been getting more and more confused by all the races that throt around on NS.
Afterall, it’s hard enough to keep track of the many different kinds of races, let alone when there are dozens of variants of each race as well.

Heck, many of the humans here on NS aren’t even Homo Sapiens, and I cannot even imagine all the Elven kinds.

So I was thinking how handy it would be to have some kind of compilation of everything, a NS Beastiary, if one will.
This would ofcourse entirely rely on people willing to send information on the races in their nations, since I can currently really not tell the difference between a D&D elf and a Tolkien inspired one.

The races could be indexed by alphabet, subtype and number (incase there are several with the same kind of name)

The sheet that would be used for it could be like;

---

Category: (Human, Elf, Vampire, AI etc etc.)

Sub-species : (Homo-sapien, Sindarin. One of the countless types of vampires that do not seem to be given a name beyond vampire)

Life span: (Obvious.)

Habitat: (Natural environment as well. May also place other enviroments they are capable of thriving.)

Description: (A bit of an indepth description on the race.)

Biological facts: (If you feel like adding things)

Cultural lifestyle: (Like the description, only this may vary according to nation.)

---

Anyway, that’s just an idea. If anyone else has better means of recording it all, please share!

 There is an 'r' in there, not an 'l'.

Unless you are speaking Engrish.
