Diwaniyah occupies neighbouring nationstate!

Dirwah

Dirwah City, capital of the city-state nation of Dirwah, had seen many things over its time, but never an occupation from a foreign country. Dirwah, itself, had never been in a conflict and avoided conflict by maintaining an army of only 3,000 men. It was always considered too small of a target and was mostly devoid of natural resources, except for a small amount of oil.

At 0325 AST, Diwaniyan troops and tanks swarmed over the border. The border guards were so scared that they surrendered at once. The drive to the capital and to the only other major city, Abadan, was only twenty minutes from the border at most.

At the same time the Diwaniyan soldiers crossed the border, the Diwaniyan airforce also crossed. Military barracks, the Presidential Palace, the two military airbases, and the radio and television buildings were all bombed and totally destroyed within thirty minutes of the attack.

By 0500 AST, Diwaniyan troops were in control of 90% of the country. The small police force and the few on-duty army soldiers of Dirwah had been either been destroyed or had been captured. The President and most of the government members had been seized by the Diwaniyan soldiers and quickly carted off to Diwaniyah.

Diwaniyan Satellite TV

At 0600 AST, President Saddam Qassem appeared on television and gave a speech about uniting Diwaniyah and it's long-time sister state of Dirwah. Moments after his speech was aired, a videotape of Saddam and the President of Dirwah was shown. The Dirwan President signed a piece of paper acknowledging that Dirwah had asked Diwaniyah to enter Dirwah and to unite the two countries. Then he signed a piece of paper that was said to be his resignation as President of Dirwah and handing the office over to Saddam Qassem.

This kind of Imperialist occupation cannot be allowed to stand, we demand that Diwaniyah forces stand down and withdraw from Dirwah immediately. We stand behind this ultimatum fully and will not hesitate to intervene and push you out of the nation with our own Armed Forces.

Do you have any real reasons for annexing this country, or are you a just an Imperialist?

There has been no "imperialist occupation" of Dirwah. The Dirwan government and people have agreed to rejoin Diwaniyah. Dirwah use to be apart of Qasakah Governorate until the evil British colonialist decided to create this "Dirwah" falsestate.

This "falsestate" was still an independant, sovereign nation and you have no right to annex it. If we standby and appease this kind of Imperialism as the leaders of the 1930's did with Germany, we will only allow Diwaniyah to grow in power and quite possibly become an aggressive military state.

Your expansionism stops here, stand down or you will be stopped by force.

We shall not leave because of your threats. We have been asked by the people and government of 'Dirwah' to reunite our glorius people. We will fight to defend our people from your aggression.

Well, I stopped RPing around the end of that time, not right away, but around then. :)

And yes, I know of this supposed brother of Kieales, Soviet Trasa, who appears to spell, act, and generally be as stupid as 'Kieales' was. :)

1) I destroyed the underground castle with my "accidental" crash of a refueling aircraft, but with Kieales's approval, Soviet Trasa said I only crushed the front doors.
2) Soviet Trasa isn't modern-tech/fantasy-free, so I couldn't get involved in any of the Kieales RPs.

It saddens me to see that we couldn't end this with a simple withdrawl and a return to the circumstances of before. I have taken the issue of intervention to the National Senate and they have approved the use of force to expel you from Dirwah.

International Waters, 700 kilometres from Dirwah's coast.

Task Force Eagle, consisting of the Pearl (Heart Class Carrier), Daphne (Valiant Class Missile Cruiser), a Guardian and a Vanguard Class Destroyer and three Crusader Class Frigates move into position as the Pearl launches three E-2 Hawkeye AWACS aircraft with an escort of three F-35 Joint Strike Fighters each to broadcast continued messages into Dirwah about the Imperialist intent of the Republic of Diwanyah in the occupation of their nation.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

There is nothing to discuss. The former leadership of the former 'falsestate' of Dirwah has signed an agreement uniting our two countries and then resigned. There is nothing to speak of. The people of Dirwah and Diwaniyah are in full agreement with this action and support the unity of our people, who were illegally seperated by the British colonialists.

The 19th Assault Force was spread across a vast amount of ocean, both carrier groups sat at a comfortable 750 kilometres from the coast of Diwaniyah as the battle groups moved to a closer 250 kilometres. The submarines were in the area, but kept secret to all but the Commanders at Central Command in Aequatio.

Task Force Eagle continued its mission to educate the people of Dirwah of the intentions of the Diwaniyah military forces, in addition to the broadcasts by AWACS, B-52H Bombers from their bases in Aequatio were dropping leaflets to the people of Dirwah on how food and medicine will come to them on the trust of Aequatian troops and how those of Diwaniyah are only there to occupy the nation and cannot be trusted at all.

OOC: I love propaganda :P
02-12-2003, 05:17
Radio broadcasts were jammed throughout Dirwah and Diwaniyah through mobile jamming stations. Leaflets were quickly rounded up by the Diwaniyan soldiers. Spies are placed everywhere. Anyone seen picking up a leaflet or looking at one would be visited by the Mukhabarat (intelligence) during the evening and probably never seen again.

OOC: Propaganda doesn't work.

And what coasts? :P

OOC: Damn you and your anti-propaganda. :o

My forces are deployed off the Eastern Coast.

IC:

AWACS and their respective excorts were called back to the carriers and the leaflet missions were halted until futher notice.

Satellites kilometres above Dirwah peered down through the sky and took photograph after photograph of probable military installations which could be used to support the forces of Diwaniyah. Targets were chosen by those in command and orders were transmitted to the carriers and air bases.

F-117A Stealth fighters took off from the carriers as B-2 Stealth bombers took off from bases within Aequatio to hit the larger targets such as Naval yards and airfields as the Nighthawks led a more tactical role in hitting barrack and vehicle storage facilities.

Norinco battlecruisers and Valiant missile cruisers launched Tomahawk missiles with standard high-explosive warheads to compliment the targets being hit by the F-117A Nighthawk bombers.

OOC: I didn't pick up on the "What coasts?" thing until now because I'm tired. Besides, you never mentioned that they were landlocked, and if you have, I haven't seen it. :? So my apologies for that.

As for the whole coast thing, every piece of land has a coast, whether or not your nation borders ocean or not. So even if it's not right at the water, let's just say (to make things less complicated) I'm still off the eastern coast of whatever continent that these nations are a part of.
