Esamopia City - New Government District
After the reconstruction of Esamopia City, the old and chaotic city was finally rebuilt in a logical manner, with wide avenues allowing easy access to troops in times of emergency, a completely rebuilt tunnel network connecting most Esamopian vital centers, and a more clearly planned and districted Capital, with specific zones for residential, commercial, industrial, governmental, diplomatic, and other centers, all layed out with the beauty of simplicity and unparallelled efficiency. Furthermore, in the middle of the governmental zone, a new Capitol building, constructed to house the new and democratic government and providing for its needs, has been established. It is in this brilliant building that Premier Sardinia, Imperial Soverign of Esamopia, was about to make her long-awaited elvish/human reforms.
"Greetings, citizens! I come to you today humbly, with my head pointed at the ground instead of high in the sky, and I reflect upon Esamopia's history, and our brutal treatment of that most enlightened and productive of races, the elves of Esamopia."
"Their differences set them apart... physically their ears were a bit pointy, their stature less than that of the ordinary human Esamopian, their weight a bit less, but these differences are nothing but cosmetic. In the times of intolerance, however, such were enough to cause a small minority, less than a percent of all Esamopians, to be treated with terrible brutality, to be discriminated against both legally and in everyday life, and to cause these elves, noble members of our society, untold pain, humiliation, and tears. I sincerely apologize for all that my people have done, in the past, in the present, and while I hope never again, in the future as well."
"I apologize today not only to those elves who have resided in Esamopia, but to all those who have been affected by our brutality, offended by our hatred, and repulsed by our intolerance. We shall never walk on that path again, and from now on INTOLERANCE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! ."
"Towards this end and to show that my words are not empty, I also promise tangible compensation and indemnification to all those who have suffered at the cruelty of Esamopians in the past. Any and all elves are hereby freed from any and all oppressive, biased, and unfair legislation, subjecting that portion of society to excessive penalties, unreasonable punishment, unequal treatment, or other negative effects. Any and all elves who are now, or who have ever been placed, in Esamopian jails, for excessive periods of time or unfairly, will now be eligible to receive immense compensation for any time they have spent in Esamopian custody. As for those who have been treated with brutality, hostility, and discrimination, government sanctioned or otherwise, they may fill out specific forms that will be made available by the Department of State, in order to take that testimony into account and assign specific compensation, to be determined by an ad hoc committee created for the subject. All such revenues will be paid for by a fund, which will be mainly provided for by the government but will also allow volunteer contributions, taxes on corporations that exploited elvish labor, and winnings from suits brought by the government against individuals and companies convicted of violating the natural rights of elvish citizens."

The Premier finished her speech, which kicked off the First Annual Elvish Equality Banquet, celebrating the beginning of a new friendship between all Esamopians.
