"In a few minutes, Vice-President Paul Pittman is scheduled to make a huge speech to the Military Veterans Association. The Motorcade is approaching the platform, and the vice president has just stepped out of the car. We will now take you live to the speech.”

The Vice-President steps out of the car, and is escorted to the platform where he will make his speech. Two Secret Service members stand next to the Vice-President, and watch for any unusual activity. Paul takes a deep breath and starts his speech.

“War is Hell, and life becomes a sin, when young men must fight the wars, that older men begin. While war is sometimes necessary, it is to often waged without good reason or support. Peace will come, only when the power of love overcomes the love of power. But peace does not rest in the charters and covenants alone. It lies in the hearts and minds of all people. So let us not rest all our hopes on parchment and on paper, let us strive to build peace, a desire for peace, a willingness to work for peace in the hearts and minds of all of our people. I believe that we can. I believe the problems of human destiny are not beyond the reach of human beings. Let the world go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Watertestians, born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage, and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today, at home and around the world!!! Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, That we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and success of liberty.” (Loud Clapping)

(The Vice-President pauses to get a drink of water and continues his speech)

“When at some future date the high court of history sits in judgment on each one of us-recording whether in our brief span of service we fulfilled our responsibilities to the state-our success or failure, in whatever office we may hold, will be measured by the answers to four questions.....Two Gunshots are heard and the Vice President falls to the ground

Secret Service pull out their automatic weapons as the 250,000 person crowd disperses in all directions. As the Vice President is rushed to his motorcade and sped to the hospital, Part of Paul’s speech, splattered in blood, is left on the stage. It reads

“When at some future date the high court of history sits in judgment on each one of us-recording whether in our brief span of service we fulfilled our responsibilities to the state-our success or failure, in whatever office we may hold, will be measured by the answers to four questions-were we truly men of courage ... were we truly men of judgment ... were we truly men of integrity ... were we truly men of dedication?”

I will refrain from voting until I see how this develops. It's pretty good so far.
