I would love to participate. My last three RPs all died (because of people being too busy to post) and I've been looking for a good one to get involved in. The Guanyan government would probably support the old Xanthalian government, sending ships to remove the military usurpers from power.

Couple questions I forgot to ask:

Will there be space tech battles involved?

If not, will it be open battle or more commando-style for supporting nations?

Is Robo-tech allowed in this RP or is the groundside restricted to basically modern with a few futuristic weapons?

And Ruhr, I might be interested in helping you with fleet improvements, i.e. shields, as well.

But, if you can figure out a way for transport, I have plenty of bodies for you to use - namely an entire MI corps plus plenty of armor and shiny thingies. The supreme commander of the Xanthalian military Gats Donnely sat in a dark room with his co-conspirators inside a bunker outside the capital city.
"Is everything prepared?"
"Yes Sir. Almost the entire military is with us, the rest have been eliminated. We have approximately 1/3 of the Armada on our side, thanks to Admiral Fondrique. Trasnia, Ruhr, Celack, Foe Hammer, and Sketch also have sent us support."
"The time has come then. We strike in one hour. Make sure that our people are ready to move simultaneously on all Xanthalian planets. Remember, we take the government buildings and the planetary defenses. We'll worry about everything else later."
"What about the Council and the Senate?"
"Hold them hostage. If they give you too much trouble, kill them."

Well, unfortunately, my good ally DNS is helping the Republic. Perhaps the Republic will be more grateful of help than a military alliance bent on domination.

While in morale, the Military has the upper hand, the Republic would need some help. Keep Celack on the other side though. We need a challenge.

OOC:
Sorry, it is a lot of numberwankin', but essentially...that is my entire Space Corps...and how I keep track of it. I have one smaller defence network around Ruhr mainland, but that consists of like...12 gunboats. So...be happy, Xanthal. It isn't much, but it is all I have. Keep in mind, the RNS Black Saber is a 7 mile long, huge...HUGE... vessel, basically modeled after the Arc Hammer from Starwars, minus the factory and added garrison for several thousand. The JFK is from Space: Above and Beyond, the Landschwert is modeled after the space fleet from Starship Troopers, but longer and more powerful for space-to-space combat.

That, my friends, is my fleet. Sorry for the numberwanking but I just cannot pull stuff out of a hat.

Lt. Commander Rayze walked the halls of the Military base camp. Xanthalian soldiers weaved in and out of people trying to be even a second early at their desination.
You'll reach your destination soon, you rebellious f*cks, he thought to himself.
"Sir!" A voice blasted from behind. Rayze turned.
"Sir, the CO requests that your platoon suit up. We're almost ready."
"Tell the CO my Platoon will be there soon." Rayze replied.
"Yes, sir." The soldier turned and walked away.

Rayze walked out of the base and into his Platoon's building.
"Fall in!" He barked. Soldiers put away playing cards and lined along their bunks.
"General Rameir requests that we suit up 30 minutes early to load the transport ships for a faster evac. I want all of you fully prepped and in your Battlegear in one hour. We'll be using the Mark-II's for our little show. Dismissed!"
The soldiers ran for their clothes and boots. They poured out of the bunker and into the Prep room, where 48 Mark-II Infiltrators sit, ready to be loaded. The soldiers slipped their limbs into the heavily armored arms and legs. One by one, Chest plates automatically rose and locked into position and the suits became vacu-sealed. They locked and loaded large machine guns and stomped into the field, where they joined their batallions in loading massive transport ships with their guns, ammo and equipment.

An hour passed, and finally the order was given -
"Lock 'n load 'em! Let's have us a barbeque!"

The mechanized Battle Armor units lined up along the base, rocket launchers, grenade launchers and guns pointed at the weak points of the structure.

"Secure channel!"

"Roger. Channel is clean!"

Soldiers eagerly waited to open up and roll out the welcome mat.

Bullets whizzed and shels hit the ground. Rocket launchers fired and grenades exploded. Holes covered the building. The Transport ships fired missiles at the gigantic building and .50 caliber machine guns covered the buildings with fire.

"LOAD, NOW! NOT LATER, NOW! LET'S GO, GET ON THOSE TRANSPORTS!"

The Armor units ran like hell for the transports. Some ran backwards, covering the ships' flanks. Tanks and LRVs rolled up the ramps and into the hold of the transport ships.

"All covering units, safe your weapons and get your asses on this transport! Move!"

The General picked up the Intercomm.
"Good job. That couldn't have gone any smoother. We've just received word from the Republic that the Military force's Leader was in that building, along with some other important Military figures, when it caved in on itself. The Xanthalian police forces report that Aellis V is secure. The Imperial Armada is prevailing over the military on Aellis VII. Aellis VI has fallen to the military. Than VI has been taken over as well. No reports from other planets.

Aellis VI's planetary defenses begin firing at the Foe Hammer transports as they pass by it on their way to Aellis VII.

OOC: Aellis VII is a polar tundra planet, you'd do best to land in one of the Armada's internal docking bays. That is, if your transports get past Aellis VI's defenses.

The seven mile long flagship floated through hyperspace, the blue slipstream bringing it to Ruhr's colony in the Orion sector, but first it was stopping at DNS to refuel its ships and meet their fleets for exercises. The small, not typically impressive force opened the wormhole and the ships came to what seemed like a dead halt. The shift to realspace always was uncomfortable for Admiral von Wulfe. His eyes blurred, abnormally, durring the shift. His muscles were tense, and finally it was over.

"I can't stand FTL, I am going to make a note to bitch to the guy who invented it. Status?" The younger Admiral walked over to the railing, gripping the bar. The Artificial gravity of the vessel gave him a light bounce to his step, and he always grabbed something when he could. God, I cannot wait until we get back to earth, the thought plagued his mind. Wulfe was an iritable man, simple things drove him to the brink of self-destruction. However, his battle tactics were superior to anyone in the fleet.

"Admiral, DNS Command told us their DNS-2 and 3 fleets left orbit several hours ago and are now heading towards Xanthal governed territory." The communications officer, Captain Shen, responded. He was always first to respond, wether there was any true news or not.

"Find out why, Shen. Get me specifics. Radar, anything in the deeps?" The Admiral questioned, still holding onto the cold metal bar. "If not, we are turning around and following the DNS vessels."

"No Admiral, nothing notable in our area. LIDAR isn't picking up anything." Commander Allington, a senior class commander that should have his own command by now but because the Admiral wasn't on the Promotions Board, he couldn't do anything. All there was to say was 'keep up the good work'. "Just civilian traffic and light DNS military presen---"

"Admiral, there is a Civil War breaking out in Xanthal. Apparently heavy fighting, DNS-2 and 3 might require our help, they say." Shen butted into the conversation. "DNS command wants confirmation of our next actions."

"Well, contact Xanthalian homeworld. I want shields and better weapons before we aid anybody. I know our past hasn't been particularly friendly, but the last thing we need is a military dictatorship pushing us to war. Have the DNS command send RNSC* a message requesting our help since we are available. That will legitimatize our new objectives. Until then, lets refuel and load up."

The Transports weaved in and out of fire.
"Goddamnit, where's Liberty Fleet Charlie?!" General Rameir yelled.
The young captain hit the comm button.
"Liberty Fleet Charlie, report location"
"Transport Fleet, watch your heads!"
The Captain turned on the overhead ship cameras.
"I don't get it. Where are they?"
The General smiled. "Wait and see, Captain, wait and see."
"Sir, with all due respect, we're getting assraped by Aellis VI!"
"Can it. Just watch..."
The General paused for a minute. Hadn't he seen this manuveur before?
Oh my god... There's no way in hell they can pull this off, he thought.

Space above the transport fleet warped and shifted. Suddenly, three massive fleets came whizzing overhead. The Liberty-class Capitol ship made a sharp turn to port and began firing. The Chaos-class Capitol ships followed suit and fired like hell. General Rameir inspected the formation and noticed something was wrong.
"Where's the rest of their fleets?!" The captain asked nervously.
"Just watch, Captain."
Streaks of white light appeared in space around the planet. Red laser streaks sped towards the planet. The white streaks were the rest of the fleets running the Palyster approach formation.
My god... they did it... the hardest trick in the book...
OOC: I'll explain what the Palyster Approach formation is later.

The Fleets' combined firepower quickly brought down the Planetary shield. Dropships and fighters swarmed the planet and Troops overran the Capital.

In the Capital city, Foe Hammer Battle Armor Batallions secured buildings and guarded Civilians.
Battle Armor units clunked and stomped towards the Capital building.
"Grenade!" A young Private shouted.
The doors to the Capitol Building flew off in at least a hundred pieces. Soldiers poured into the building, followed by Lt. Commander Rayze.
"Squad Delta, come with me. All other squads, cover all possible entrances to the building."
Lt. Commander Rayze lead Delta Squad through the maze of halls until they came upon the leader's office and Military Strategy room.
"Delta Squad, download every bit of information on the Military's plans and future attacks. Except for you, Sullivan. Come with me."
The Private followed Rayze to the front of the building. Rayze approached a soldier in an LRV.
"Corpral, you follow Sullivan and I to the Weapons room."
"Will do, sir." The Corpral responded.
Rayze and Sullivan walked around the building. The Lt. Commander flipped on his X-Scope and scanned the wall. He brought his fist up, and with one blow, amplified by the Battle Armor, punched through the wall. It crumbled to bits and he stepped through. There were racks and racks of weapons. The walls were lined with guns. Sullivan started handing the guns to Rayze, who tossed them in the LRV.
The Radio blared static, until a voice came on.
"Attention all ground units, cease fire, load up and head back to your ships. Aellis VI is officially in the Republic's control."

Garron XII is a tropical desert planet, with a temperature that is always over 100 degrees and no natural water whatsoever. Xanthal crushed them accordingly, and has been maintaining a military presence there ever since. McDonne was silent for a moment "We should send a message demanding their surrender before taking action" "You sure?" "Yes, it's only right" "Very well, Communications, open a hailing channel to Garron XII" after it opened, VA Cornwell cleared her throat and spoke:

The Admiral sat back in his command chair, at the center of the enormous flagship. The ressuply was easy, each ship done in a matter of minutes. His attention was, however, drawn to the Xanthal conflict. The DNS vessels were heading off in another direction, however. His only option was to head to the Garron system, an unsecure sector, and rednevous with a supply ship that was probably close to combat.

He didn't like his options, and no one disagreed with him. This was a potentially dangerous situation, and he was risking the fleet by heading into the system. Xanthalian officials did not send adequate maps for the fleet and Wulfe knew he could only blast through the sector in hopes of identifying and rednevousing with the XSS-52. "Communications, any last signals?"

"No, Admiral." Shen replied with enthusiasm. "Channels are clear, sir."

"Very well then. Helm, swing 'er around. Lets get on course with the Garron System." The Admiral eased into his seat as the massive ship began its orbit-breaking turn into its path. The RNS Optima and Landshwert cruisers hit their flight paths first, shooting past the Black Saber and into a hyperspace opening they generated. The Assault Transports were next, rushing into the blue slipstream followed by the massive flagship. The fleet had left the DNS colony into an unfamiliar territory.

No ship had ever entered Xanthalian space with hopes of getting out. The poor tensions between the nations tore at the moral of any freighter crew running parallel to Xanthalian sectors. The BDI ties were broken. Celack had left and some nations had utterly disappeared through time, either through war or collapse. What was once the powerful NATO had become a few diehard nations looking to protect each other from their fears and the unknown.

---------------------
7 Hours Elapse
---------------------

They had jumped just right, the raging battle was on the other side of the system. The flagship had the XSS-52 in sight and was heading to her at 2/3rds impulse power. The cruise was gentle, patrols had increased since their arrival and a few ISSAPCs had been deployed, heading towards several of the damaged vessels. Wulfe had realised that his fleet was going to take a beating, and all he could do was wait. The CIC was deathly quiet, the crew had not spoken an unnecessary word since their arrival.

"Communications, do we have permission to dock?" Wulfe questioned.

Shen responded swiftly, "We have permission to dock. Open relay broadcast shows the Kechan fleet has arrived. They are currently sending a repeat broadcast message flooding the bands."

He held his chin with his fist, his eyes narrowed. "Play it."

"Re.......alian Military forces on Garron XII, this is Vice Admiral Cornwell of the Kechan Armada Royale, I have with me a sizeable force capable of annihilating any defences you can put up, you are hereby ordered to surrender at once, and unconditionally, or face the conse......s....Rebel Xantha..." Shen clicked the broadcast off.

"That is all it says, Admiral." He shrugged, his eyes wincing. He was nervous, if the military did not respond, the death would haunt the system over and over until the planet fell. His own mind was preoccupied with ambitions to convince the rebels, but he realised that what he would say would just be as much propaganda as the Kechan message. He was in dismay.

"Helm, dock with the XSS-52. Bring us on her port side and await transfers. Communications, order the rest of the ships in patrol and secure formation. I want every ship modified with shielding!"

"Aye, captain!" The large vessel pulled alongside the Xanthalian ship. Its starboard close enough for small ship to ship transfers of equipment and men. With hope, there would be no use for this fleet and the rebellion would crumble.

Wulfe realised that because a military unit had no other care but overwhelming force, their tactics would be hard. They would punch where it hurts, and kick when the populace falls. Military Rebels were high in moral and had a cause equally as great as the Republic Loyalists whom were merely attempting to perserve their union. He was torn between the issue of which approach to take.

He knew, however, that the 300,000 marines aboard the RNS Black Saber could deal with anything. His head dropped, his mind tearing in anguish. As a military leader, he couldn't worry about the death of a single person. He had to protect his former enemy and what they had left. His mission was to lead, his fleet was his sword, his mind was the swordsman. As soon as the shieldings were up for every vessel, he would be prepared to assist.

The massive Liberty Fleet Charlie turned and quickly accelerated for Than VI. The fleet quickly dissappears from view as they enter Sublight velocity.

Xanthal - We're going to hit Than VI in a matter of minutes at this speed. Have your armada ships waiting just outside of Than VI's detection range. Admiral Burkhaul has a plan.

Admiral Burkhaul and his Vice Admirals huddled around a holoboard. Simulated images of the Xanthal Armada ships and Liberty Fleet Charlie gracefully floated above the board.

"Hmm... Fleet Charlie to grid C-7."
The holograph changed and the projected images shifted.
The Admiral paused and thought for a minute.
"The Sledgehammer Approach is a possibility." One brave vice Admiral suggested.
Admiral Burkhaul turned to him.
"You do realize, Vice Admiral, that by massing our ships and approaching head-on, we run a rather large risk of being annihalated in only a few hits?"
"Oh... well, if all else fails, we could use the Armada formation."
Everyone gasped. Even the Bridge crew turned in their chairs.
"Hmm... Run Simulation, Than VI, Fleet Charlie, Armada formation."
The Holograph changed, showing the Fleet in the Armada formation, the Destroyers, Cruisers and fighters massing around the Capitol ships. Engulfed in the Capitol Ships' shields, the Destroyers, Cruisers, gunships and fighters would fire every weapon towards the planetary shields and defense stations. The destroyers, cruisers, gunships and fighters all break apart and form a closing half-ring. The ships move in on the planet, and the Capitol ships activate a Short-range Jump, firing on the planet after the jump, in hopes of bringing down the shields.
"That will never work," One of the VA's piped.
"What makes you say that?" Burkhaul asked.
"Well, sir, the jump have a 90% chance of setting off the Ship's EMPs, which would disable every ship around the planet. In every test, that has happened. And if it doesn't disable the fleet, there's a damn good chance of the Capitol Ships misjumping and crushing one of the other ships."
"It has a CHANCE of happening. It's a risk we're willing to take and a risk we're going to take."
Admiral Burkhaul turned off the Holoboard.
"Ops Station, alert every ship in the fleet to follow the Armada formation. Once the Xanthal Armada arrives, have them cover-firing until we get in position."

Teritora/Foe Hammer: The planetary shield collapses under the immense barrage of firepower. "Okay, orbital bombardment of military installations has been authorized. Aim carefully, we want to minimize collateral damage. After all the military strongholds have been taken out deploy ground forces to clean up the remaining rebels. Than VI is an urban planet, so be prepared for city fighting. Be doubly careful in your offense and defense, there will be military personnel and civilians everywhere. We estimate about 100,000 enemy soldiers on this planet total, so bring lots of reinforcements."
Xanthalian Armada ships begin firing torpedos down to the surface, eliminating military bunkers and gun emplacements.

Kecha: There are sensor stations scattered across the planet, but only one large comm center adjacent to the main mining colony. Robert replies to the Vice Admiral with confusion. "What? I'm not here to talk politics! We're trying to surrender!"

Sketch: There are three unsecure planets left; Pictoris I, which will be RPed out when Seed gets back; Garron XII, which is being dealt with by Kecha; and Than VI, where a full-blown war against the military is going on. In short: Once Than VI is secured, the military has essentially lost.

"Damn them, throw everything we've got at Than VI. DNS-2, begin orbital bombardments of military objectives. Prepare the 30,000 man landing force for CQC. Carrier fleets let Red Hawks down to strafe, except for Tarus, have your Red Hawks patrol space. If you find refugees, have transport Red Hawks ferry them to DNS-2 untill the battle is over," shouts Dauge from his place on the DNS-2's bridge.

The orders are carried out quickly, refugees begin to be ferried up to DNS-2 for safe-keeping. They are given food and shelter, but are scanned and monitored for weapons or aggressive behavior.

The 30,000 DNSian special forces land in Than VI's main city, helping to direct civilians to pick-up points and fighting against military attacks on the ground, they are covered by around 200 Red Hawk v2.45's, or the ground-support version.

DNS-2 initates surgical strikes against planetary defenses, mostly Ion blasts to leave the infastructure in place after the battle is over.

She then turned to her Tactical Officer, and whispered a series of orders to him "Try and target that Communications Center with some of our missiles, and tell me how many it would take to destroy it, and if we can hit it from orbit"

IC: "The Xanthalians are monitoring this channel, Admiral; and they won't be happy with you if you fire on us after we've offered our surrender. In fact, I believe that such an action would be considered an act of war against the Republic. I may be no expert on Kecha's space forces, but I know that you can't win against the Armada. Unless you want a war with Xanthal.."

OOC: And he's right. You're in Xanthalian space. If you fire on them after they've offered a surrender without getting approval from the Senate you have essentially declared war on the entire Republic.

The fleet entered sector 925 from the only quiet enterance, from the corner quadrant. Now in effective battle positions, the fleet was prepared for an assisted attack on the enemy. The control rooms on each ship were deathly quiet.

The battle raged above them, and the group came from underneath the closest planet, avoiding their long range scanners. The fast cruisers broke up and formed two delta wings of five ships. They broke into their new enemies lines firing all cannons they could. The five carriers and assault transports hung back around the Black Saber, which was operating as a primary fighter platform. Each assault wing launched, over five hundred fighters and bombers concentrated their fire on the Celackian battleships and dreadnaughts.

Each vessel, armed with 1.2 Gigawatt cannons targeted weak points of their targets and fired. The Black Saber, armed with ten 2.2GW cannons, concentrated its long distance fire on the Celackian flagship. The battle was bloody, and ISSAPCs launched, preparing to board disabled and damaged enemy vessels. With any hope, the battle would be over swiftly. But with such powerful forces involved, the Admiral realised the fight would last a very long time.

Alrighty then:

I.C. The fleet realizng how little damage they were doing to the cube decided to change they're firing patterns. Each Yamota-b (except for the Celack) fired on a super dreadnought and with them 9 other ships fired on the same one. 5 cruisers, the Celack, the Thadsa and the Kanosis made micro-jup throught hyperspace and came out right next to the Ruhrian vessles. They all began firing on it.

"God damnit! The Micro-jump! Weapons and Navigation, set course for the Celackian ships and open fire, full force!"

The weapons officer turned around and paniced.
"Sir, our weapons, they're recharging on the generators!"

"Damnit... That's it. Navigation, set course Two-Niner-Five. Full speed ahead."

"Sir, that will put us on a collision course!"

"Who gives a damn? Set full speed, angle Liberty Two to 45 degrees, strike on underside hardpoint."

"Aye..."

The navigation officer followed the Admiral's orders. Surely a 9km long vessel could survive the impact.

"Sir, we are on course, angled and at speed." The officer reported.

"Okay, good. Communications, order all allied vessels to clear the area. Weapons, our MACs run on a power reserve, correct?"

"The MACs run on a seperate Generator. Should I charge them?"

"Yes. Charge cannons one and two. Once charged, fire on the Celackian ships. Ops, sound collision alarms, order all crews towards the center of the ship. Lockdown all airlocks once clear. Nav, time to impact?"

"Sir, 30 seconds, sir."

Burkhaul gripped the brass bridge railing. Let's see you withstand this, f*ckers...

Laser fire tore into the mobile shields emplaced on all Ruhrian vessels. The ISSAPCs launched from the massive hanger bays of the Black Saber heading towards damaged vessels and evacuating crews in any escape pods. Red flares lined the arena! Missiles, flares, torpedoes, cannon fire, engines, fighters, anything that made light joined the distant stars' glows in an organized chaos. Three bomber wings, escorted by three fighter wings, blasted through Celackian defence lines in an attempt to

The mini jump of the Celackian Vessels put the torpedo tubes of the carriers right next to his vessels. A full launch of over 500 small nuclear tipped torpedoes ran towards the former ally's vessels. The small laser fire engulfed one of the assault transports and the controlled fire tore through the hull and into Battalion Garrison C. The shields gave out in that sector, and before they can come back online half of the 200 men garrisoned in the compartment were sucked into the black quiet of space. The shields on the RNS Sparrow came back online and the Phalanx-V Missile Launchers began firing at the Celackian assault ships.

Onboard the seven mile long Black Saber, Admiral Wulfe put his faith in the multiple mobile shield generators installed in the vessel. The situation on the vessel was chaotic. Troops ran in their squads up and down the corridors securing loose bulkheads and transporting materials here and there. The 2nd Marine Corps was preparing for boarding enemy vessels. One transport wing was being loaded up as the battle raged, the Ruhrians were prepared to take the fight to the Celackians. The desert camouflage uniforms bore by the Ruhrian Marines made a seemingly endless stream of power and might that would bring this raging battle closer to an end. The ship rocked with a torpedo launch at the new enemy, their vectors fast and direct, their warheads prepared for their massive explosions.

Wulfe's eyes traced the holographic battle depiction. The Kechan vessels were falling back, their fight turning into a bloody confrontation of attrition. The Xanthal vessel's continually launched missiles at the Celackian fighters and ships, over 100,000 missiles fired alone from the Republic's warships. The Territoran and Foe Hammer vessels were turning up the heat on the Celackians. The Yamato-A's had been ripped to shreds, but the powerful Yamato-B's remained a viable threat. Wulfe could only hope that his next efforts to disable their vessels would work. Long-Range Electro-Magnetic-Pulse missiles were loaded into the forward torpedo tubes of the massive Black Saber's bow. The Kinetic Pulse Energy cannon was charged on each of the carriers and the four cannons the flagship.

He held down the encoded fleet transmissions button. "Assault Group Kappa, launch EMP missiles at the Celackian Yamato-B's. Assault Group Alpha, come about and fire Kinetics at the closer threats. Launch the marine division at the first sign of disablement from the closer attackers. Continue the assault." His finger lifted from the button. In unison, three of the carriers and their smaller escorts turned to port and came right on line with Celackian vessels. Their Kinetic Pulse Cannons fired several long bursts into the hulls of their targets. The EMP missiles fired at the newer Yamato’s in an attempt to disable the threats.
