Provencial Legeslature:
The Citizens elect a local council for each of the seven provinces within the country. The Councils consist of 30-100 steats, depending on the Population of the Provence. These councils deal with all civil matters in the Provence. The Civil Councils also must aprove by 40% or more, the Nominees for Bishop Council (See Below).
National Legeslature:
The Bishop Council is made up of 20 members. To be elected into the Bishop Council a Bishop must be nominated by at least ten Church Clergy members, then the nominee must be aproved by the Civil Councils of each provence, with a 40% aproval vote. The Bishop Council Advises the Archbishop (See Below), and are in charge of some federal issues. The Bishop Council is also responsible for the operations of all Government owned Businesses.
Leader:
A Bishop must be sitting on the Bishop Council to be nominated for Archbishop, and must recieve at least 15 votes from the Bishop Council to become Archbishop. After approval from the Cardinal, the Bishop becomes the Archbishop. The Archbishop is the Absolute Ruler of the country, and second religious leader of the Church. The Archbishop can remove any member from the Civil Council or Bishop Council at any time. The current Archbishop is Ferdinand Antiguan.
Elections:
Anyone over the age of 18 are allowed to vote for the Civil Councils. Elections for Civil Council are held every 4 years. Reuired age to run for Civil Council is 34.
Bishop Council Nominations are held every 6 years. A Bishop must be over the age of 40 to be Nominated for Bishop Council.
Archbishop Nominations are held every 8 years. A Bishop must be over the age of 50 to become Archbishop.
Cardinal:
The Cardinal of Serenity is the main religious leader of the Church, and the recognized Patriarch of the Oppressive Church Faith. The Cardinal's only job in the government, is to approve the Nominee for Archbishop.

Vegetation:
The country is plagued by Rain, which makes it almost impossible to properly fertilize the soil, as it is entirely too wet. Farmers have found that growing crops is quite hard on the large plains of the country. However, in the lower lying mountains, the soil is slightly easier to farm on, although there is too little land suited correctly for this to make this a staple of the country's economy.
Wildlife & Agriculture:
Regular Agriculture cannot live in the plains of the country, due to the lack of proper vegetation for them to consume. But in the lower hills of the Mountains, Goats and Sheep are easily kept, and feed on Mountain Grass. This comprises the major cornerstone of Meat and Rural industry in the country. Wildlife is mainly composed of tropical birds, reptiles, and insects. But the national Animal, the Panther, is a pleasant and unexpected common site in the country.
Economy:
The Economy of the Oppressive Church is mainly made up of Heavy Industry, Investment Corporations, and 'Mom and Pop' stores. All large Companies are owned by the government. 'Mom and Pop' stores are legal to be privately owned, as long as they do not manufacture anything, or sell any illegal made products. Religious and Moral regulations placed upon the corporations and manufactures keep most of them small, which is blamed for the complete collapse of the Economy. The Economy is made up of 62% Industrialized, 26% Corporate Commerce, 10% Agriculture (See Above 'Wildlife & Agriculture'), and 2% Farming.
Communications:
The Government owned "Satellite Heaven International Telecomm" (It's abbreviation is a bad word) is a very large Communication Company, which currently operates it's own two Satellites. It is the Largest telecommunications Company based in the Indian Ocean, and the largest Company in The Oppressive Church. It currently provides the Oppressive Church with a very modern and upt-to-date communication system. They are currently expanding their service from the Indian Ocean, Indian Subcontinent, Australia, Indonesia, Indo China, Arabia, and Eastern Africa to China, Japan, Western Africa, the rest of the Middle East, and possibly the Balkans. The company's logo is: "Soon our Telemarketers shall be calling YOU!"
Media:
The Country has Freedom of the Press, although private Media Companies are illegal. Quite Confusing, but it seems to be a Loophole on the "Freedom of Press" issue. The Media is allowed to say whatever, and foreign Media is also allowed full access to the country. However, private enterprise is illegal, so no Private Media Companies may be based in the country. Therefor, the country's media is allowed to say whatever they like, but they're owned by the government, which sorta defeats the "Freedom of Press" liberty. It's a rather interesting Loophole, or possibly a mistake. Either way, Dictators could learn a thing or two from the Church's politics, and copy this Loophole, making them look more free, and at the same time, still own all the Media Companies.
Transportation:
The Country is split in two in Transportation; The cities north of the River of Saint Elizabeth's are linked by a Train system, with a small highway grid linking them as well. South of the River however, they are linked mainly by an outdated road system which barely gets through the dense forests in the country. Travel in the southern area of the country, needless to say, is not something many people do. Highway Plans from the 1970s remain in place to properly link all the major cities, but it seems they may never be built.

Society:
The Country praises itself on it's moral standards, which are among the highest in the world. Religious ideology is practiced by nearly the entire population. It's unique Church and Moral culture has not be welcomed by the rest of the world, causing the Church citizens to develop a prominent isolationist view. All crime has been whipped out by recent policies of the Archbishop. The church outlaws all private enterprise, making the only crime left; illegal production of Automobiles, and other commodities.
Health Care:
The Church provides basic Health Care needs for it's citizens, and covers the cost for most Prescription Drugs. Major operations, uncommon prescription medication, or purposefully inflicted injuries are not covered.
Welfare:
The only Welfare that exists in the Church, is it's Healthcare system (See Above). Although recently, the Church has been building Low Income, Free Rent housing for it's worse off citizens.
Education:
All Children are required to have 1-16 years of Curriculum. Collage or University is not required under law, but is suggested, since the Government pays for nearly 99% of Scholarships anyway.

Geography:
Flat open Plains cover most of the country, while along the coast and rivers there are generally Rain Forests. In the Eastern half of the country, the Anderton Mountain Range dominates the Georgraphy. While mainly rolling hills, or plateaus, these mountains rise quite high in three areas in the country. These three spots are placed perfectly, creating a large impassable area on the boarder between the Oppressive Church and Your Nickname. The only way to get around the mountains is along northern or southern coasts. The Mountains are also filled with natural resources, most of which are not mined as of yet. Scientists speculate these mountains are really dormant volcanos which formed the Island.
Climate:
Rainy and sunny almost all year, the Oppressive Church is a very pleasant place. Although the rain does create floods, which plague the major cities particularly in February and September. The Mountains have less rain, but have a long cold season which make them very unpleasant in the months of July-November.

History:(Note that this is history of the Island TOC shares with four other Nations)
The Isle De Sargenti Alamode (as it is now known) was first discovered by Western explores in the 1400 hundreds, roughly around 1443. First to arrive was a Portuguese merchant ship, The Sareen on it's way to the East Indies, after sailing around the Cape of Good Hope. The Isle lies south of the Maldives in the Indian Ocean. The Natives there welcomed the Portuguese Merchants, who vaguely documented their trip. They left the Island, and did not report their finding of the Island to the Portuguese Government, as they thought they had run across an Island in the Maldives, an already discovered Island chain.
Around 1489, a French Researcher, whose name was lost to History, discovered the old ship log of the Portuguese Ship. After consulting the latest map of the Maldives, and the Ship Log, he concluded the Island visited by The Sareen was nearly 700 miles south of the southernmost Island in the Maldives. He quickly took his finds to the French government, but they were uninterested. He went on a Crusade, from Portugal, to Sweden, pleading with the Monarchies to fund an expedition. He was turned down, and disappeared or died in 1492, shortly before Columbus' landmark Voyage.
After Columbus' outstanding discovery of the new world, every nation in Western Europe became fascinated with colonizing it. This influx of expeditions only buried the French Researcher's discovery deep into archives, to be forgotten. In 1601, another ship The Alamode a French merchant vessel, stumbled across a large island, which they only regarded as "A couple of days south from the Maldives." Sailing past the Island, they reached the East Indies, and filled up on cargo. The Ship sailed back, and hit a torrent storm near the Island they had seen on their way there. Sailing towards the Island, the ship was beached on the Island in the storm. The Natives offered them shelter, and spoke a similar language to some Natives on Madagascar, so the French were able to communicate with them. The First Mate Nian Alagora, wrote about the Island in detail. He drew sketches of some of the plant life, wrote a synopsis on the many different kinds of Natives there. On the western part of the Island, there were natives like those found on Madagascar. On the Northern, natives like that of the Maldives, and on the East, Natives which later researchers would find were eerily similar to the Aborigines of Australia. Separating the Island in the South, was a large mountain range. The natives there were even more strange, they were Nomadic, and had a scarily similar ideals and traditions from those of Tibet. But the most important thing Nian recorded, was a sketch of the map, and it's relative location to the Maldives.
Leaving the Island 2 months after their beaching, the French sailed back to France. The French government was slightly interested, and after sending an Expedition in 1602, they sent a ship full of colonists to the Island in 1603. They set up a colony on the small Peninsula on the northern part of the Island. They dubbed the Island "Maderretta", and settled their colony based in the city of New Marselle, which still exists today as the capital of Pro Capitalists. The French port quickly became a refueling spot going or coming from the East Indies. The port quickly became rich, and France pored more colonists into it, but they never thought about colonizing south, into the Lush Delta of the Southeast, the large planes of the Southwest, or the Mountains. The port started to lose money after the Dutch and British set up their East India companies. With Western Europeans having ports actually in the East Indies, the refueling port became unnecessary. It fell into disrepair, and faded into a poor French colony. By 1649, the French Government was considering abandoning the colony all together.
In 1674, the British sent a ship full of Colonists to the Island, to Colonize the southeastern Delta, to create a safe naval port, away from the unsecured ports in India. It would also be a completely British Naval port in the area, reducing risk of Sabotage. Although Britain was now interested in the island, France had lost all hope, and sent ships to evacuate the port of New Marselle. Most of the colonials left the Island, but some stayed, determined to keep the port alive. France refused to support the colony, so they became the Self Ruling Colony of New Marselle. The British colonialists founded the port of Wilting in a large bay, that all the rivers from the delta empties into. They also named the bay Wilting, and gave the Island the Blaine name of "British East India Company Island #12." Within a few years, the Island had proved a sturdy investment for the British, who used the port to launch a major Naval operation against the Dutch Navy in the Indian Ocean. The Island was renamed "Savior of the Crown," due to the fact that the British believed that the Island entirely saved their East India company from the Dutch Navy.
New Marselle was rather quiet, but after Anti-British Sentiment across in the area, it became a safe port for French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, and other ships of nations Britain greatly wanted to destroy.
By 1700, both ports were becoming suddenly obsolete. The Dutch and British colonized ports on Australia, and virtually made Wilting and New Marselle completely useless. Britain, like their French contemporaries 50 years earlier, decided to abandon supporting the useless colony. Britain offered an evacuation, but the colonists refused to leave.
During all of this, the Natives had all moved to the Southwest planes of the Island, as they were not very happy with either colony, despite that no violence had ever been shown against them. They founded their own organized villages, and built rather European looking structures, which they had picked up from the Colonists. But the Natives became very isolated, and tried desperately not to do business with the colonies.
By 1702, after 2 years of basically no government, Wilting was beginning to do just that, wilt away. But one man was determined to keep the island going, his name was Harold Johnston. Setting up a government system, he made Wilting self reliant, and it started to pick up again. The Johnston Governorship was so prosperous, the British sought to regain the colony. But "Savior of the Crown" island, as it was still known then, refused the British, believing that they had turned their back on the Island. The British moved in to recapture it, but Wilting resisted, in a valiant stand, and sunk 2 British frigates. The British decided to invade by land, docking at New Marselle, and marching south, through the swamps of the Delta. By the time they got to Wilting, moral was so low, that the British troops surrendered to the city. Britain signed a peace treaty, which gave British full access to Wilting, but not control over it.
After the Johnston-British war of 1708 was such a success for the Johnston Governorship. But they saw how New Marselle had sold them out so easily, and they lusted to destroy the colony. War broke out between the two cities in 1710, but both cities lacked a Navy, and it turned into a cold war, as neither was willing to attack through the swamp after what happened to Britain. The War ended in 1715, after several raids finally went through the swamp, and attacked the city of New Marselle. New Marselle signed an Armistice, and the Johnston Governorship realized that they had to colonize more cities through the swamp, to increase mobility. Settling 3 new major cities in the delta in 1715, 1716, and 1718. The cities were Name, in the far North, along the coast near the New Marselle and Johnston boarder, decided upon after the last war. Nick in the Far South, on the Cape of the Island, now known as Nick Cape. And slightly into the interior of the delta, Your, which was to be the grand new Capital. Sadly, the grand new Capital and the other cities, including New Marselle and Wilting fell quickly into ruin, as lack of people caused a complete collapse of infrastructure. It would not be until the 1730s that a great influx of people would stir rebuilding the cities...
As the 1720s wore on, the people were relatively happy, they had freedom, they had no war, and they were free from most restrictions other European colonies had. The Island became known as "Incest of the Crown" after roomers of how sexually promiscuous the colonies were. Moral Indecency was rampant, and it was becoming infamously rampant. The Natives were also rumored to be cannibalistic for special events, and worshiped Pagan Gods. In the 1730s, the Catholic Church had enough. They sent Missionaries by the Dozens to the Colonies. The Missionaries came in so many numbers, that they soon made up nearly 20% of the population on the island. Moral reform was almost impossible to evade. The Island went from a lousy backwater, to the standard of the world for morality within 10 years. Religion didn't come through without resistance, however. Harold Johnston ordered every citizen to remain stubborn, religion would only corrupt the perfect society they had worked for. Religion won the skirmish however, and completely undermined the Johnston Governorship. When Harold Johnston died in 1745 at the age of 84, his last words were "Do not listen to the church..." But it was too late, the Johnston Governorship collapsed within 2 years of his death, due to Religion.
It was a mixed blessing though. With such high moral standards, a massive influx of people pored into the Island in the 1730s and 40's, creating the substantial people required to rebuild and maintain the cities of Your, Nick, and Name. A new Government was founded, called You Nickname, a combination of the 3 city's names. The Catholic Church on the Island has such a higher standard of moral now, that it branched, and became the Oppressive Church. Missionaries moved into the planes of the Southwest quickly, and reformed the Natives. The Church center became that area of the Island, after the founding of Saint John. The Church became it's own nation in 1759. The Church's crowning achievement would becoming the main religion of many islands in the Indian Ocean.
In the 1760s, New Marselle collapsed into revolution, after the Government was relocated to the city of Yvette. New Marselle's old government in Yvette collapsed with ease, and a new coalition of people took over. They called themselves Pro Capitalists, because they supported the old capital of New Marselle. It also helped that they were very pro-business, which helped make the name stick and it became the name of the Nation in the later years.
Your Nickname was also splitting. The Johnston Family claimed they were the true rulers of the country, and the struggling Religious government collapsed to the Johnston Family in 1769. They became an Absolutist Monarchy, but were pro Religion, so the Church did not bother invading to retake over. The Grand Duchy of Your Nickname had it's first Monarch in 1770, the Grand Duke William Johnston I. The Island lost recognition from the International Community, it wasn't poor anymore, and it was very moral and religious, but the world didn't care, and it turned Isolationist.
The world changed greatly, while the Island remained the same. American revolution, French Revolution, the Nepoleanic Wars, all effected the island very little. It remained the same until the 1870s, when great change overcame most of the Island.
Pro Capitalists suddenly had an influx of Muslim Refugees. Try as it might, the Oppressive Church could not regain Pro Capitalists from Islamic Religious domination. Muslim became the official Religion of the country, and democracy took hold of the nation as well. In 1874, Pro Capitalists completely overhauled it's obsolete Governorship Government, and instated a Parliament system. It also changed it's flag to a Muslim symbol, with a Cross, on the French Flag showing it's current Muslim belief, the Church which had laid it's foundations, and the Flag of it's founding nation.
Your Nickname also went through change... But not such peaceful change. Violent revolts broke out in 1879. The Monarchy was overthrown in 1881, and an Atheistic Anarchistic rule took over.
The Oppressive Church remained the same, and it's citizenry never question the Absolutist Rule of the Archbishop. This made the Oppressive Church the most stable nation, and in 1885, the Church decided it had had enough with the crazy regime in Your Nickname, which blatantly threatened the Church. Pro Capitalists joined with the Church, as they raced in to put the Grand Duke back on his throne. This created a series of revolts, and counter revolts up until 1901. In 1901, the Atheistic Regime discovered Socialism. Founding their own nation in the far north, on the boarder of Pro Capitalists and Your Nickname, the country became the world's first Socialist Country. It was first named "The Republic of the Peoples of the Island of the Savior of the Crown" This was changed shortly after to "Overopinionation."
Overopinionation survived several coups from it's neighbors, corruption within it's new government system, and an outright invasion in 1907. In June 2nd 1907, Pro Capitalists and Your Nickname attacked jointly from north and south onto the tiny coastal country. They failed miserably, the outdated Pro Capitalist Army got bogged down and were slaughtered by cunning tactics. The Your Nickname army, composed mainly of militia, totally collapsed as the Overopinionation People's Army threw them back into the swamp. After this failed, the nations swallowed their pride, and accepted their new unwelcome neighbor.
In 1914, with the onset of W.W.I, the 4 nations signed a Mutual Defense Treaty in the event of invasion from a nation beyond the shores of the island of the Savior of the Crown. Up until 1916, the Islands were split on which side of the war was 'right'. Of course we now know that both sides in W.W.I were wrong, but the Island was deadly split. Pro Capitalists was very Anti-British, because of their French background, and their Muslim Religion. At that time, the British were very cruel to Muslims in their colonies, but the Pro Capitalist regime also supported France, so it was split within itself. Your Nickname had large shipping agreements with Germany, without which the economy of the country would collapse. After great deal of debate, the Island realized the Central Powers were losing the war, and it would be in their interest to support the Allies. 1916 the Island's nations joined together to enter the war on the Triple Entete (Allies). Although troops from the Island never fought in Europe, they did participate in the British invasion of the Ottoman Empire's domains in present day Iraq, Israel, and Jordan. Troops also participated in the British invasion of the German Colony of New Guinea. And medics from the Island were sent to the Western Front in 1917.
After the War, the Island's nations received large sums of money from the Geneva Convention. The Island was unaffected by the massive outbreak of Influenza in 1919, but it would be plagued by something else soon. As the 1920s wore on, continuos revolts in Your Nickname weakened the Monarchy. Overopinionation was threatened by it's neighbors for associating with the newly formed USSR. Pro Capitalists was ripped from it's neighbors on Issues, as the large Muslim population greatly disagreed with the other nations views. The Oppressive Church lost some control over it's country, having to let elected Councils handle some issues in the country.
With the Depression, the Island's economy collapsed. This caused unrest in all the nations, but especially in Your Nickname. In 1934, the government of Your Nickname was temporarily overthrown by Fascists, the same system employed in Nazi Germany. It's neighbors rushed in once again to place the Grand Duke back on his throne. The Revolt lasted years, mostly due to the fact that Nazi Germany was pouring money into the fascist revolt. Overopinionation actually got involved, but only to due away with Fascism, which they despised. World War II started, almost without the Island's notice. After some debating, the fact that Germany had sent money to the Fascist Revolt in Your Nickname, and the fall of so many nations in Europe, the Island declared war on the Axis powers in May 1940. British Soldiers from Australia were sent to the island to help kill the Fascist Revolt. Finally, in September 1940, the Fascists collapsed, and the Monarchy was returned to power. The neighbors of Your Nickname urged the government to implement a Parliament, or the Monarchy would be doomed to failure, and it would Jeopardize the Island's security.
Soldiers from the Islands were deployed in the North African Theater, and then later helped in the Pacific. The British built a massive Air Base on the Island, to sink Axis Ships in the Indian Ocean. After the War, the Island received great sums of money again, and the Air Base was turned over to the Island's government's to jointly command in 1946. The Island realized after the war, how deadly close it came to destruction. The Axis planned to attack the Island, or Cerilone (Now Sri Lanka) or Madagascar, which would give them full control over the Indian Ocean, cutting the Allies in two. Luckily, it never happened, but the Island decided they had to grow stronger in defense, and this created the Joint Military Alliance of the Indian Ocean Islands, which was a council based on the Island, that decided the country's foreign politics for them.
Despite Overopinionation's Socialistic Regime, the Island Council joined SATO (Southern Asia Treaty Organization) in 1949 and considered sending help in Korea. The Island was a key refueling spot for American subs in the Indian Ocean, but that was it's most glorified purpose during the Cold War.
In 1956 Your Nickname finally implemented a Parliamentary system. The country, now a Constitutional Monarchy, became a world benchmark for morality. In the 1960s, Pro Capitalists became the leading Commercial nation on the Island. The Oppressive Church became increasingly unstable. And Overopinionation removed it's antibusiness laws, as it's totally communistic system was getting the Island in increasing trouble with the Island's Allies.
In 1967, the Your Nickname parliament was rocked by a coup from the Military. This caused a populace revolt. The Military, Monarchy, and Populace fought violently for three years. This time, Your Nickname's neighbor's were not aloud to help, as the Island Council decided it a bad idea. In 1970, the Military coup collapsed, and the Monarchy nearly did as well. The Monarchy survived two more years, before finally surrendering to the Populace Revolt in 1972. The Royal Family was exiled to a small Island the country owned far off the coast of the main Island. The Populace Revolt created a slightly new system, based on the old Parliament. They created a similar flag to the old Monarchy's, and fit in very well with the island Nations. It was realized this regime was probably a better idea then the old Monarchy, and no attempts to reinstate it were perused.
In the 1970s, the Island was Anti-Vietnam, and started to slip into isolation again. The Council was disbanded, as was the Joint Military Alliance of the Indian Ocean Islands, after the council had decided not to intervene in Your Nickname, and other irrational decisions it made. The Island remained mostly unchanged until the 1990s, when an economic boom, large businesses relocated to Asia, and the fall of the USSR changed to Island greatly. In 1994, the Island was renamed "Isle De Sargenti Alamode." Honoring the first real discoverer, and the Natives who called themselves Sargenti. It doesn't actually make sense when translating, "Isle of Sargenti Alamode" but it's a nice name anyway. "Savior of the Crown" is still acceptable though, and it is mostly still referred to as that. However, many people in Pro Capitalists still call it "Maderretta".

Provencial Legeslature:
The Citizens elect a local council for each of the seven provinces within the country. The Councils consist of 30-100 steats, depending on the Population of the Provence. These councils deal with all civil matters in the Provence. The Civil Councils also must aprove by 40% or more, the Nominees for Bishop Council (See Below).
National Legeslature:
The Bishop Council is made up of 20 members. To be elected into the Bishop Council a Bishop must be nominated by at least ten Church Clergy members, then the nominee must be aproved by the Civil Councils of each provence, with a 40% aproval vote. The Bishop Council Advises the Archbishop (See Below), and are in charge of some federal issues. The Bishop Council is also responsible for the operations of all Government owned Businesses.
Leader:
A Bishop must be sitting on the Bishop Council to be nominated for Archbishop, and must recieve at least 15 votes from the Bishop Council to become Archbishop. After approval from the Cardinal, the Bishop becomes the Archbishop. The Archbishop is the Absolute Ruler of the country, and second religious leader of the Church. The Archbishop can remove any member from the Civil Council or Bishop Council at any time. The current Archbishop is Ferdinand Antiguan.
Elections:
Anyone over the age of 18 are allowed to vote for the Civil Councils. Elections for Civil Council are held every 4 years. Reuired age to run for Civil Council is 34.
Bishop Council Nominations are held every 6 years. A Bishop must be over the age of 40 to be Nominated for Bishop Council.
Archbishop Nominations are held every 8 years. A Bishop must be over the age of 50 to become Archbishop.
Cardinal:
The Cardinal of Serenity is the main religious leader of the Church, and the recognized Patriarch of the Oppressive Church Faith. The Cardinal's only job in the government, is to approve the Nominee for Archbishop.

Vegetation:
The country is plagued by Rain, which makes it almost impossible to properly fertilize the soil, as it is entirely too wet. Farmers have found that growing crops is quite hard on the large plains of the country. However, in the lower lying mountains, the soil is slightly easier to farm on, although there is too little land suited correctly for this to make this a staple of the country's economy.
Wildlife & Agriculture:
Regular Agriculture cannot live in the plains of the country, due to the lack of proper vegetation for them to consume. But in the lower hills of the Mountains, Goats and Sheep are easily kept, and feed on Mountain Grass. This comprises the major cornerstone of Meat and Rural industry in the country. Wildlife is mainly composed of tropical birds, reptiles, and insects. But the national Animal, the Panther, is a pleasant and unexpected common site in the country.
Economy:
The Economy of the Oppressive Church is mainly made up of Heavy Industry, Investment Corporations, and 'Mom and Pop' stores. All large Companies are owned by the government. 'Mom and Pop' stores are legal to be privately owned, as long as they do not manufacture anything, or sell any illegal made products. Religious and Moral regulations placed upon the corporations and manufactures keep most of them small, which is blamed for the complete collapse of the Economy. The Economy is made up of 62% Industrialized, 26% Corporate Commerce, 10% Agriculture (See Above 'Wildlife & Agriculture'), and 2% Farming.
Communications:
The Government owned "Satellite Heaven International Telecomm" (It's abbreviation is a bad word) is a very large Communication Company, which currently operates it's own two Satellites. It is the Largest telecommunications Company based in the Indian Ocean, and the largest Company in The Oppressive Church. It currently provides the Oppressive Church with a very modern and upt-to-date communication system. They are currently expanding their service from the Indian Ocean, Indian Subcontinent, Australia, Indonesia, Indo China, Arabia, and Eastern Africa to China, Japan, Western Africa, the rest of the Middle East, and possibly the Balkans. The company's logo is: "Soon our Telemarketers shall be calling YOU!"
Media:
The Country has Freedom of the Press, although private Media Companies are illegal. Quite Confusing, but it seems to be a Loophole on the "Freedom of Press" issue. The Media is allowed to say whatever, and foreign Media is also allowed full access to the country. However, private enterprise is illegal, so no Private Media Companies may be based in the country. Therefor, the country's media is allowed to say whatever they like, but they're owned by the government, which sorta defeats the "Freedom of Press" liberty. It's a rather interesting Loophole, or possibly a mistake. Either way, Dictators could learn a thing or two from the Church's politics, and copy this Loophole, making them look more free, and at the same time, still own all the Media Companies.
Transportation:
The Country is split in two in Transportation; The cities north of the River of Saint Elizabeth's are linked by a Train system, with a small highway grid linking them as well. South of the River however, they are linked mainly by an outdated road system which barely gets through the dense forests in the country. Travel in the southern area of the country, needless to say, is not something many people do. Highway Plans from the 1970s remain in place to properly link all the major cities, but it seems they may never be built.

Society:
The Country praises itself on it's moral standards, which are among the highest in the world. Religious ideology is practiced by nearly the entire population. It's unique Church and Moral culture has not be welcomed by the rest of the world, causing the Church citizens to develop a prominent isolationist view. All crime has been whipped out by recent policies of the Archbishop. The church outlaws all private enterprise, making the only crime left; illegal production of Automobiles, and other commodities.
Health Care:
The Church provides basic Health Care needs for it's citizens, and covers the cost for most Prescription Drugs. Major operations, uncommon prescription medication, or purposefully inflicted injuries are not covered.
Welfare:
The only Welfare that exists in the Church, is it's Healthcare system (See Above). Although recently, the Church has been building Low Income, Free Rent housing for it's worse off citizens.

Geography:
Flat open Plains cover most of the country, while along the coast and rivers there are generally Rain Forests. In the Eastern half of the country, the Anderton Mountain Range dominates the Georgraphy. While mainly rolling hills, or plateaus, these mountains rise quite high in three areas in the country. These three spots are placed perfectly, creating a large impassable area on the boarder between the Oppressive Church and Your Nickname. The only way to get around the mountains is along northern or southern coasts. The Mountains are also filled with natural resources, most of which are not mined as of yet. Scientists speculate these mountains are really dormant volcanos which formed the Island.
Climate:
Rainy and sunny almost all year, the Oppressive Church is a very pleasant place. Although the rain does create floods, which plague the major cities particularly in February and September. The Mountains have less rain, but have a long cold season which make them very unpleasant in the months of July-November.

History:(Note that this is history of the Island TOC shares with four other Nations)
The Isle De Sargenti Alamode (as it is now known) was first discovered by Western explores in the 1400 hundreds, roughly around 1443. First to arrive was a Portuguese merchant ship, The Sareen on it's way to the East Indies, after sailing around the Cape of Good Hope. The Isle lies south of the Maldives in the Indian Ocean. The Natives there welcomed the Portuguese Merchants, who vaguely documented their trip. They left the Island, and did not report their finding of the Island to the Portuguese Government, as they thought they had run across an Island in the Maldives, an already discovered Island chain.
Around 1489, a French Researcher, whose name was lost to History, discovered the old ship log of the Portuguese Ship. After consulting the latest map of the Maldives, and the Ship Log, he concluded the Island visited by The Sareen was nearly 700 miles south of the southernmost Island in the Maldives. He quickly took his finds to the French government, but they were uninterested. He went on a Crusade, from Portugal, to Sweden, pleading with the Monarchies to fund an expedition. He was turned down, and disappeared or died in 1492, shortly before Columbus' landmark Voyage.
After Columbus' outstanding discovery of the new world, every nation in Western Europe became fascinated with colonizing it. This influx of expeditions only buried the French Researcher's discovery deep into archives, to be forgotten. In 1601, another ship The Alamode a French merchant vessel, stumbled across a large island, which they only regarded as "A couple of days south from the Maldives." Sailing past the Island, they reached the East Indies, and filled up on cargo. The Ship sailed back, and hit a torrent storm near the Island they had seen on their way there. Sailing towards the Island, the ship was beached on the Island in the storm. The Natives offered them shelter, and spoke a similar language to some Natives on Madagascar, so the French were able to communicate with them. The First Mate Nian Alagora, wrote about the Island in detail. He drew sketches of some of the plant life, wrote a synopsis on the many different kinds of Natives there. On the western part of the Island, there were natives like those found on Madagascar. On the Northern, natives like that of the Maldives, and on the East, Natives which later researchers would find were eerily similar to the Aborigines of Australia. Separating the Island in the South, was a large mountain range. The natives there were even more strange, they were Nomadic, and had a scarily similar ideals and traditions from those of Tibet. But the most important thing Nian recorded, was a sketch of the map, and it's relative location to the Maldives.
Leaving the Island 2 months after their beaching, the French sailed back to France. The French government was slightly interested, and after sending an Expedition in 1602, they sent a ship full of colonists to the Island in 1603. They set up a colony on the small Peninsula on the northern part of the Island. They dubbed the Island "Maderretta", and settled their colony based in the city of New Marselle, which still exists today as the capital of Pro Capitalists. The French port quickly became a refueling spot going or coming from the East Indies. The port quickly became rich, and France pored more colonists into it, but they never thought about colonizing south, into the Lush Delta of the Southeast, the large planes of the Southwest, or the Mountains. The port started to lose money after the Dutch and British set up their East India companies. With Western Europeans having ports actually in the East Indies, the refueling port became unnecessary. It fell into disrepair, and faded into a poor French colony. By 1649, the French Government was considering abandoning the colony all together.
In 1674, the British sent a ship full of Colonists to the Island, to Colonize the southeastern Delta, to create a safe naval port, away from the unsecured ports in India. It would also be a completely British Naval port in the area, reducing risk of Sabotage. Although Britain was now interested in the island, France had lost all hope, and sent ships to evacuate the port of New Marselle. Most of the colonials left the Island, but some stayed, determined to keep the port alive. France refused to support the colony, so they became the Self Ruling Colony of New Marselle. The British colonialists founded the port of Wilting in a large bay, that all the rivers from the delta empties into. They also named the bay Wilting, and gave the Island the Blaine name of "British East India Company Island #12." Within a few years, the Island had proved a sturdy investment for the British, who used the port to launch a major Naval operation against the Dutch Navy in the Indian Ocean. The Island was renamed "Savior of the Crown," due to the fact that the British believed that the Island entirely saved their East India company from the Dutch Navy.
New Marselle was rather quiet, but after Anti-British Sentiment across in the area, it became a safe port for French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, and other ships of nations Britain greatly wanted to destroy.
By 1700, both ports were becoming suddenly obsolete. The Dutch and British colonized ports on Australia, and virtually made Wilting and New Marselle completely useless. Britain, like their French contemporaries 50 years earlier, decided to abandon supporting the useless colony. Britain offered an evacuation, but the colonists refused to leave.
During all of this, the Natives had all moved to the Southwest planes of the Island, as they were not very happy with either colony, despite that no violence had ever been shown against them. They founded their own organized villages, and built rather European looking structures, which they had picked up from the Colonists. But the Natives became very isolated, and tried desperately not to do business with the colonies.
By 1702, after 2 years of basically no government, Wilting was beginning to do just that, wilt away. But one man was determined to keep the island going, his name was Harold Johnston. Setting up a government system, he made Wilting self reliant, and it started to pick up again. The Johnston Governorship was so prosperous, the British sought to regain the colony. But "Savior of the Crown" island, as it was still known then, refused the British, believing that they had turned their back on the Island. The British moved in to recapture it, but Wilting resisted, in a valiant stand, and sunk 2 British frigates. The British decided to invade by land, docking at New Marselle, and marching south, through the swamps of the Delta. By the time they got to Wilting, moral was so low, that the British troops surrendered to the city. Britain signed a peace treaty, which gave British full access to Wilting, but not control over it.
After the Johnston-British war of 1708 was such a success for the Johnston Governorship. But they saw how New Marselle had sold them out so easily, and they lusted to destroy the colony. War broke out between the two cities in 1710, but both cities lacked a Navy, and it turned into a cold war, as neither was willing to attack through the swamp after what happened to Britain. The War ended in 1715, after several raids finally went through the swamp, and attacked the city of New Marselle. New Marselle signed an Armistice, and the Johnston Governorship realized that they had to colonize more cities through the swamp, to increase mobility. Settling 3 new major cities in the delta in 1715, 1716, and 1718. The cities were Name, in the far North, along the coast near the New Marselle and Johnston boarder, decided upon after the last war. Nick in the Far South, on the Cape of the Island, now known as Nick Cape. And slightly into the interior of the delta, Your, which was to be the grand new Capital. Sadly, the grand new Capital and the other cities, including New Marselle and Wilting fell quickly into ruin, as lack of people caused a complete collapse of infrastructure. It would not be until the 1730s that a great influx of people would stir rebuilding the cities...
As the 1720s wore on, the people were relatively happy, they had freedom, they had no war, and they were free from most restrictions other European colonies had. The Island became known as "Incest of the Crown" after roomers of how sexually promiscuous the colonies were. Moral Indecency was rampant, and it was becoming infamously rampant. The Natives were also rumored to be cannibalistic for special events, and worshiped Pagan Gods. In the 1730s, the Catholic Church had enough. They sent Missionaries by the Dozens to the Colonies. The Missionaries came in so many numbers, that they soon made up nearly 20% of the population on the island. Moral reform was almost impossible to evade. The Island went from a lousy backwater, to the standard of the world for morality within 10 years. Religion didn't come through without resistance, however. Harold Johnston ordered every citizen to remain stubborn, religion would only corrupt the perfect society they had worked for. Religion won the skirmish however, and completely undermined the Johnston Governorship. When Harold Johnston died in 1745 at the age of 84, his last words were "Do not listen to the church..." But it was too late, the Johnston Governorship collapsed within 2 years of his death, due to Religion.
It was a mixed blessing though. With such high moral standards, a massive influx of people pored into the Island in the 1730s and 40's, creating the substantial people required to rebuild and maintain the cities of Your, Nick, and Name. A new Government was founded, called You Nickname, a combination of the 3 city's names. The Catholic Church on the Island has such a higher standard of moral now, that it branched, and became the Oppressive Church. Missionaries moved into the planes of the Southwest quickly, and reformed the Natives. The Church center became that area of the Island, after the founding of Saint John. The Church became it's own nation in 1759. The Church's crowning achievement would becoming the main religion of many islands in the Indian Ocean.
In the 1760s, New Marselle collapsed into revolution, after the Government was relocated to the city of Yvette. New Marselle's old government in Yvette collapsed with ease, and a new coalition of people took over. They called themselves Pro Capitalists, because they supported the old capital of New Marselle. It also helped that they were very pro-business, which helped make the name stick and it became the name of the Nation in the later years.
Your Nickname was also splitting. The Johnston Family claimed they were the true rulers of the country, and the struggling Religious government collapsed to the Johnston Family in 1769. They became an Absolutist Monarchy, but were pro Religion, so the Church did not bother invading to retake over. The Grand Duchy of Your Nickname had it's first Monarch in 1770, the Grand Duke William Johnston I. The Island lost recognition from the International Community, it wasn't poor anymore, and it was very moral and religious, but the world didn't care, and it turned Isolationist.
The world changed greatly, while the Island remained the same. American revolution, French Revolution, the Nepoleanic Wars, all effected the island very little. It remained the same until the 1870s, when great change overcame most of the Island.
Pro Capitalists suddenly had an influx of Muslim Refugees. Try as it might, the Oppressive Church could not regain Pro Capitalists from Islamic Religious domination. Muslim became the official Religion of the country, and democracy took hold of the nation as well. In 1874, Pro Capitalists completely overhauled it's obsolete Governorship Government, and instated a Parliament system. It also changed it's flag to a Muslim symbol, with a Cross, on the French Flag showing it's current Muslim belief, the Church which had laid it's foundations, and the Flag of it's founding nation.
Your Nickname also went through change... But not such peaceful change. Violent revolts broke out in 1879. The Monarchy was overthrown in 1881, and an Atheistic Anarchistic rule took over.
The Oppressive Church remained the same, and it's citizenry never question the Absolutist Rule of the Archbishop. This made the Oppressive Church the most stable nation, and in 1885, the Church decided it had had enough with the crazy regime in Your Nickname, which blatantly threatened the Church. Pro Capitalists joined with the Church, as they raced in to put the Grand Duke back on his throne. This created a series of revolts, and counter revolts up until 1901. In 1901, the Atheistic Regime discovered Socialism. Founding their own nation in the far north, on the boarder of Pro Capitalists and Your Nickname, the country became the world's first Socialist Country. It was first named "The Republic of the Peoples of the Island of the Savior of the Crown" This was changed shortly after to "Overopinionation."
Overopinionation survived several coups from it's neighbors, corruption within it's new government system, and an outright invasion in 1907. In June 2nd 1907, Pro Capitalists and Your Nickname attacked jointly from north and south onto the tiny coastal country. They failed miserably, the outdated Pro Capitalist Army got bogged down and were slaughtered by cunning tactics. The Your Nickname army, composed mainly of militia, totally collapsed as the Overopinionation People's Army threw them back into the swamp. After this failed, the nations swallowed their pride, and accepted their new unwelcome neighbor.
In 1914, with the onset of W.W.I, the 4 nations signed a Mutual Defense Treaty in the event of invasion from a nation beyond the shores of the island of the Savior of the Crown. Up until 1916, the Islands were split on which side of the war was 'right'. Of course we now know that both sides in W.W.I were wrong, but the Island was deadly split. Pro Capitalists was very Anti-British, because of their French background, and their Muslim Religion. At that time, the British were very cruel to Muslims in their colonies, but the Pro Capitalist regime also supported France, so it was split within itself. Your Nickname had large shipping agreements with Germany, without which the economy of the country would collapse. After great deal of debate, the Island realized the Central Powers were losing the war, and it would be in their interest to support the Allies. 1916 the Island's nations joined together to enter the war on the Triple Entete (Allies). Although troops from the Island never fought in Europe, they did participate in the British invasion of the Ottoman Empire's domains in present day Iraq, Israel, and Jordan. Troops also participated in the British invasion of the German Colony of New Guinea. And medics from the Island were sent to the Western Front in 1917.
After the War, the Island's nations received large sums of money from the Geneva Convention. The Island was unaffected by the massive outbreak of Influenza in 1919, but it would be plagued by something else soon. As the 1920s wore on, continuos revolts in Your Nickname weakened the Monarchy. Overopinionation was threatened by it's neighbors for associating with the newly formed USSR. Pro Capitalists was ripped from it's neighbors on Issues, as the large Muslim population greatly disagreed with the other nations views. The Oppressive Church lost some control over it's country, having to let elected Councils handle some issues in the country.
With the Depression, the Island's economy collapsed. This caused unrest in all the nations, but especially in Your Nickname. In 1934, the government of Your Nickname was temporarily overthrown by Fascists, the same system employed in Nazi Germany. It's neighbors rushed in once again to place the Grand Duke back on his throne. The Revolt lasted years, mostly due to the fact that Nazi Germany was pouring money into the fascist revolt. Overopinionation actually got involved, but only to due away with Fascism, which they despised. World War II started, almost without the Island's notice. After some debating, the fact that Germany had sent money to the Fascist Revolt in Your Nickname, and the fall of so many nations in Europe, the Island declared war on the Axis powers in May 1940. British Soldiers from Australia were sent to the island to help kill the Fascist Revolt. Finally, in September 1940, the Fascists collapsed, and the Monarchy was returned to power. The neighbors of Your Nickname urged the government to implement a Parliament, or the Monarchy would be doomed to failure, and it would Jeopardize the Island's security.
Soldiers from the Islands were deployed in the North African Theater, and then later helped in the Pacific. The British built a massive Air Base on the Island, to sink Axis Ships in the Indian Ocean. After the War, the Island received great sums of money again, and the Air Base was turned over to the Island's government's to jointly command in 1946. The Island realized after the war, how deadly close it came to destruction. The Axis planned to attack the Island, or Cerilone (Now Sri Lanka) or Madagascar, which would give them full control over the Indian Ocean, cutting the Allies in two. Luckily, it never happened, but the Island decided they had to grow stronger in defense, and this created the Joint Military Alliance of the Indian Ocean Islands, which was a council based on the Island, that decided the country's foreign politics for them.
Despite Overopinionation's Socialistic Regime, the Island Council joined SATO (Southern Asia Treaty Organization) in 1949 and considered sending help in Korea. The Island was a key refueling spot for American subs in the Indian Ocean, but that was it's most glorified purpose during the Cold War.
In 1956 Your Nickname finally implemented a Parliamentary system. The country, now a Constitutional Monarchy, became a world benchmark for morality. In the 1960s, Pro Capitalists became the leading Commercial nation on the Island. The Oppressive Church became increasingly unstable. And Overopinionation removed it's antibusiness laws, as it's totally communistic system was getting the Island in increasing trouble with the Island's Allies.
In 1967, the Your Nickname parliament was rocked by a coup from the Military. This caused a populace revolt. The Military, Monarchy, and Populace fought violently for three years. This time, Your Nickname's neighbor's were not aloud to help, as the Island Council decided it a bad idea. In 1970, the Military coup collapsed, and the Monarchy nearly did as well. The Monarchy survived two more years, before finally surrendering to the Populace Revolt in 1972. The Royal Family was exiled to a small Island the country owned far off the coast of the main Island. The Populace Revolt created a slightly new system, based on the old Parliament. They created a similar flag to the old Monarchy's, and fit in very well with the island Nations. It was realized this regime was probably a better idea then the old Monarchy, and no attempts to reinstate it were perused.
In the 1970s, the Island was Anti-Vietnam, and started to slip into isolation again. The Council was disbanded, as was the Joint Military Alliance of the Indian Ocean Islands, after the council had decided not to intervene in Your Nickname, and other irrational decisions it made. The Island remained mostly unchanged until the 1990s, when an economic boom, large businesses relocated to Asia, and the fall of the USSR changed to Island greatly. In 1994, the Island was renamed "Isle De Sargenti Alamode." Honoring the first real discoverer, and the Natives who called themselves Sargenti. It doesn't actually make sense when translating, "Isle of Sargenti Alamode" but it's a nice name anyway. "Savior of the Crown" is still acceptable though, and it is mostly still referred to as that. However, many people in Pro Capitalists still call it "Maderretta".
