DIWANIYAH - Today, the government, lead by President Saddam Baqr, announced that the government is now forming a new, two-party political government and is now allowing the second most popular, but banned party, the Liberal Party of Diwaniyah, to become legalized and run in the next national elections scheduled in two months.
This is a surprise for the Diwaniyan government, as for the last thirty five years, the Arab Ba'ath Socialist Party has ruled the country, with all other political parties outlawed. This measure brings about a new measure in Diwaniyan political reforms.
In other news, the defence ministry has ordered the mobilization of forty thousand men to be formed into four reserve divisions and deployed in various duties around the country. There has been no information on why or what they will be doing.
