The Trasnian garrison commander of the Talmaraan VIII capital city was furious. "What the hell are those fools doing? They think they can drive us out with rocks?"
His aide looks out the window at the crowd below. They are dressed in rags, most are so emaciated that their bones stick out from beneath their skin. Many have scars from their work under unsafe conditions. All of them are slaves, Talmaraan VIII natives who were foolish enough to leave the protection of the Xanthalian Republic with almost no military force. "Well Sir, you could simply feed them more. After all, that's what they want. In all fairness, since we conquored this planet to do Trasnia's lobor they've done everything asked of them... Granted, it was at gunpoint, but we don't pay them. Don't they deserve to eat?"
The commander fumes. "They deserve nothing! Trasnia subjugated this planet, they will do as we tell them! These fools will serve as an example for the entire planet's population! Authorize the garrison to fire with live rounds. Kill them. All of them. Get cameras set up so that we can show the rest of the slaves what happens to those who defy us."

*Puts Trasnia on the Do-Not-Visit list*

Half an hour later, all is ready. The cameras are set up as ordered. The angry mob of slaves continues pounding the reinforced front doors of the garrison building. Then, suddenly, the doors open to reveal 100 soldiers with automatic rifles and machine guns facing the crowd. An eerie hush falls over the crowd. Some begin to turn and run, only to find themselves ringed by ranks of Trasnian soldiers. A few of the weaker hearted in the crowd begin to cry, knowing what is coming. The commander picks up his microphone in his room overlooking the scene. His voice is broadcast across the square to the soldiers. "This is the price you pay for disobedience! Fire!"

The Trasnian soldiers open fire on the slaves, who are armed only with stones. The slaves try to run, but there is nowhere to go. Some surrender, they are shot along with the rest. It takes the Trasnians only five minutes to down almost 1,000 slaves. Then they move among the fallen searching for survivors; the few that still breathe are shot through the head.

ooc: meh, you could have done a MUCH better slaughter scene... *recalls the one from Robotech: The Zentraedi Rebellion, in which 2 mecha opened fire on a crowd of 120,000 people with 100mm rounds* ;)

The cameras are taken down and the footage is dispatched to all the regional commanders of the planet to show to the slaves for their viewing pleasure.
