While the Earthside economy is still doing porrly, a downturn in Wazzu Elysium has started goods and services from the Information Technology industry flowing steadily across the border, with an accompanying influx of fresh cash. The donations from Sunset, and large aerospace purchases from the nations of Aelosia and Mangala, have given the Kaseian government enough budget to begin focusing more on the terraforming projects, which has led to massive government spending in creating new civillian jobs. For the first time ever, money has been flowing from Mars to Eniqcir's Earthside capital, and this sudden reversal of cash flow has caused tensions among the more independant of the Great Houses. The Lady Fíora made a statement on the issue earlier today, in which she expressed the opinion that,

There's no pleasing them. First they're annoyed that they have to pay to keep House Royen afloat, now they complain that House Royen is too powerful. If any of them come up with a valid complaint, I advise them to take it before the High Council. Otherwise, just live with it.

There has been no word from Lords Moiríartí or Royen.

With Martian sales on the rise, supply has been unable to keep up with demand. Skyrocketing prices for such products as the Waterfall Video Systems 3D Monitor and Epitome's 1.2 gigaflop PCs are threatening to cause a second market crash. In response, Earthside corporations producing these products have attempted to reduce production costs and buy more transport space to ship their products to Mars, and several have announced plans to build new Martian factories.

This constant flow of goods off-world, however, is only serving to keep the Earthside economy in a deep recession. To counteract this, many companies, such as Oloirí Dínná SilverCom and notable government contractor Paragon Systems, have begun looking to the international market.

Through the Council of Trade, several private sector and government companies are looking for suppliers of bauxite, ilmetite and/or rutile, coal, silver, gold, gallium, and arsenic.
