7.9 Magnitude!

The ground shook, houses fell, and fires began to start. It was mass chaos....

Power went off in 90% of the city, and the first picture out of the city was disturbing.

Gamingboy stood up, and told everyone: "We got a crisis on our hands, get the National guard, Coast Guard and Canine Patrols from the Army. We need to get rescuers to Bowser city, dammit!"



1:00 PM, Nintendania Eastern Time: A major aftershock hits, going a 7.0 on the richter scale. More and more damage is done.

1:05 PM, NET: The first National guard troops arrive for recovery, even as small (1.0 to 2.0 on richter scale) aftershocks occur. So far there are 5 dead, 9 reported missing, it would grow greatly.

1:06 PM, NET: First pictures of the fire reach news stations, this picture was of a small flareup, but there were far bigger ones in other parts of Bowser city.

1:15 PM, NET: The Bowser City library is set up as a shelter for homeless, since it didn't suffer much damage (just some books fell)

1:20 PM, NET: The first squads of Army search and rescue dogs arrive from Bowsertown (the suburb of Bowser City that that earthquake was first detected in).



1:30 PM, NET: Current deaths: 13, Currently missing: In the Hundreds, Injured: In the thousands. Nintendanian President Gamingboy announces he will go on TV at 1:45 for a preliminary statement.

Today the Prime Minister of Kazaakisthan spoke on behalf of his people.


Today a tragedy arose in Nintendania. When innocent lives are los to the forces of nature we must mourn for there los but also we must learn from these tragedys and then maybe someday we an work with nature not against it. I forsee a rough time getting Nintendania back to order but it will be completed.

Gamingboy walked up to the stand.


"Attention citizens of Nintendania, of The Planet Earth, and just to be real specific, of the universe. Today, mother nature struck the city of Bowser city. The death toll is now up to 32, including 4 children. Power is out throughout the city and it's neighboring counties, and many people are still missing. The National Guard, elements of the Army (mainly search and rescue k9 units) and local police are searching for men, women and children under the rubble as we speak. The coast guard and navy have moved hospital ships closer to shore, and firefighters are fighting the fire throughout the city. We will rebuild bowser city, bigger, more efficent, better then it was before, for we have the technology. And now, the Health minister, Rich Furst Aeid."


Rich F. Aeid comes to the stand.

"Ladies and Gentlemen in Bowser City, if you are hearing this, the following warnings are in effect: One, if you are able to you are urged to leave the city, bring only the bare necessities, along with any pets you may have. Two, do not drink any of the water, the sanitation plant was damaged during the earthquake, and it's possible that harmful chemicals are in the water. Third, All looters will be arrested by the police or military, so remain calm and don't do anything stupid. Fourth, a curfew will take effect at 9:00 PM NET, there is a shelter at the Bowser City Library, and Military engineers are building makeshift shelters also. Now, I go back to Gamingboy."


Gamingboy stands back up:

"To the nations of the world, this is a plea from the men, women and children of Bowser City: Send water, send food, send money, send relief. Hold back squabbles that you may have, this was not a act of any nation, it was a force of nature, and those innocent people have been caught in it. So send help. The citizens ask for it. Thanks, and good day."

Due to, shall we say, some international bad feeling, we are unable to send any actual aid. However, we are sending $15 billion to your nation to help provide food and shelter for the victims, and equipment for the rescuers. If we are able to lend any more aid we will let you know.
