The Vortex Corporation warns the TIE Corporation that copyright is hardly applicable on such a widely spread and commonly used product as TIE technology.

It's their name and the fact we are now in a price war.

Thankyou TVC. You are totally correct in that statement. We are merely in competion.

And you can't buy our company, mainly because we aren't selling it...

There is a small matter of relative size to be resolved here, I feel...

Hmm Competition?

How much for 1 TIE interceptor?

The same question to TTC.

Well i agree he may be slightly larger. But not by a huge amount. And i'm being abcked by anouther nation anyway. Just like TTC is being backed by TIN.

I thought TIEs were made by Seinar Fleet Systems.

That's the thing-we don't sell TIE Fighters. We abandoned all SW tech long ago on the grounds that well, it's too powerful.

(Ignore the copyright section, My BROTHER was using the computer while I was eating lunch... I KNEW Ishouldn't have invited him down!)

Besides, The TIE Corporation hasn't actually sold anything yet-I'm still working on what to put in my storefront.

TIE Corps mainly supplies foodstuff and agricultural items, allthough they do recieve ship building orders.

TIE Industires, you're welcome to the ship building industry-the TIE Corp is an internal company.

Wait, why would anyone use TIE technology? Didnt we learn something from StarWars4-6? That TIEs suck in a dogfight, and that given equal monetary value of fighters you'd be better off with xwings/awings?

If one was to use space tech of course.

And yes, it *should* be Seinar Fleet Systems, to whomever pointed that out earlier.

Seinar Fleet Systems...

Thankyou for clearing that up TIN.
But i guess no one wants TIEs after Calcednie's post.....

TIE Defender's and TIE Advanced are great exceptions to this. Both are superior ships, though both will expectedly cost more.
ooc:Defenders and Advanced can be seen in the Tie Fighter computer game.

Tie Fighters are made by Sinear Fleet Systems, and they are not comparable to an X-wing, because they are built with two different ideologies for fighter development.

The TIE Fighter, is faster(if not by much), more manuverable, and cheaper to produce than the X-wing. However the X-wing is better armmed, shielded, it is however more costly. A TIE Fighter has a steep learning curve while the X-wings are simplified. Anyone who can pilot a TIE is a better pilot than those in X-wings. (The Rebel Alliance was lucky that most of its pilots were defects from the Imperial Starfighter Academy).

The Defender is just to much...it verges on godmode with the strength of its shields and number of weapons compacted into so little space. The Advanced is a better more sane choice.

They are certainly comparable from a combat performance standpoint, by whatever metric you want to measure costs and benefits.

The a-wing, which is cheaper to produce than the x-wing, outmaneuvers a TIE interceptor and is faster to boot. While it also requires a skilled pilot, it at least provides that investment some protection.

I consider the Advanced and the Defender to not be comparable because who knows what would be developed in the alphabet fighter line with more time. The timeline stops at RotJ for comparable equipment. (The novel series being useless in that they mostly assume static technology). Further, the Advanced and Defender represent severe changes in ideology, making it unlikely that Sienar would ever have made them, and no explanation is ever given as to where those shield generators are located since the capsule is not enlarged. Shield generators are bulky! Those two ships exist for the sole purpose of allowing them include really nasty missions and giving you a prayer of surviving. Ie, they are an invention of the game for game mechanics reasons and nothing more.
